Don't come here expecting to eat lunch. They've completely removed the grill menu. Wish they'd take more time to update their online presence so you know before you go. Now you do!Plus -- the more local flavors, like date, are now gone from the menu. Only your basics and sugar overload flavors are available which you can find anywhere in the US.This place has went way downhill from last year.

This place is awesome. It looks like it was recently remodeled and they really paid attention to every detail. The front door and back door have beautiful stained glass windows, the ice cream parlor is very nice with stone quartz countertops and a new wood carved bar, even the ceiling is fully covered in elegant metallic ceiling tiles. I noticed other people giving low ratings because of the prices however, this is Death Valley and there are no options for miles which sucks because it's well worth the price point. Plus if you think about it, ice cream is a luxury in the desert. Lastly, to put things into perspective, a $4-$5 prepackaged sandwich, costs $15-$16 at the mini market across from the ice cream parlor. In sum, I got the Bunny Tracks which hit the spot on a 100° F day, plus the scoops are very very generous. Enjoy!

Although a bit pricey, the ice cream portions are heaping. I enjoyed the Huckleberry and Mint Chocolate Chip flavors, and the waffle cone was thin, crispy, and fresh. Lovely interior and plenty of indoor (bar stools, tables) and outdoor (wraparound porch, park benches at across the street) seating. In addition to ice cream, they do milkshakes and sundaes as well.

I liked this spot a LOT. Power was out at the other building with the saloon so they stayed open late for Ice cream and food. Nice people working that night. Made a great chocolate shake. Cool spot with not much else around.

Ice cream is decent but for 36 bucks for two ice creams it’s ridiculous.

$55 for two quarter pounders with rings and fries and one drink. High prices for their captive audience. Reminds me of burgers and prices at Disney World.

It was so hot and ice cream sounded good. We ordered two scoop cups. The scoops were generous and the ice cream hit the spot. We ate on the deck outside of the shop where they have chairs and tables out of the sun.

Very poor service and overpriced! The first night I walked in, I ordered a sundae, which they served me in a plastic cup without any nut toppings. Upon asking, they said ran out of all nut toppings. We went there after a hike the next day and ordered a banana split. Again, they served it without hot fudge or nut toppings. They charged us $15 for a banana split WITHOUT hot fudge and nut topping.Upon asking, their response was that their hot fudge wasn't ready yet! Who does that? They just didn't care to tell us that piece of information before ordering or while serving it.Their attitude sucked and were on the phones most of the time..didn't seem to be interested in their jobs.If I'm paying $14 for a small sundae, I need to be told before ordering that you are not giving me hot fudge and toppings before I pay for it.I am very disappointed with their service and their lethargic behavior. The place looks good, though.

We had lunch one day at the Ice Cream Parlor while visiting Death Valley. The girls at the counter were friendly and the food was OK, but really overpriced - over $20 for a hot dog. There aren't a lot of options in the area, so this is OK for something light and quick. The lounge at the Inn was a little nicer for overpriced food.

Very very VERY over priced! They wanted $7 for one scoop, $9 for 2 scoops and $14 for a Milkshake!!! Also when my husband asked for a milkshake they replied “we’re not making milkshakes today” like what the heck! You’re just not making them today!?! Very disappointed. After a hot day in the sun, in the hottest place on earth, we just wanted a dang milkshake!

Hello, can I buy two ($14 each) milkshakes please? “Oh we’re not making milkshakes today”. They had 2 milkshake machines that worked fine, I guess they just didn’t want to make one? That’s like if I went to McDonalds and ordered a Big Mac, then they reply “nah, we’re not doing burgers today”.

The $18 grilled cheese wasn’t grilled. All portions were too large. And $77 is a lot for two people to pay at a diner.
