Will rate minus 100 star if I could. Drove over to donate two good book cases, we drove from out of town after work, and OBVIOUSLY, we are 4 mins late, their donation closes at 4 and we arrived 4:04pm. All we got is “no there is nothing I could do”, we offered him unload and do anything we could to help, and all he could say was “no”, with his headphones on. Just ridiculous, spending all the time and gas money just trying to donate something so the money could go to the animals. And you wonder why it is so hard to do good things. The only reason I want to donate there is because of the animals. I understand there are rules and time, but we were 4 mins late, and we were from out of town, we tried our best to make it the second we were done with work. NEVER AGAIN.

Cute little thrift store for a good cause. Not super well organized but pretty cheap and you never know what you will find. Friendly and helpful staff

Used to be a nice place to shop. Now they either keep the more valuable items to sell online or the staff sells the items to themselves. I have stopped going as often because of that. They also seem to have a hard time keeping employees they always seems understaffed. The only positive thing that SPCA had was that they had very nice staff but seems like that also disappeared along with nicer clothes/accessories

I have to wait until end of day to get someone to price check a $5 chair? Are you kidding me?

Seems this store has changed and they don't let you combine stamp cards anymore. Horrible.

Bought a furniture set and came back with-in the hour hold period and they had sold it. I got a refund, but it was very frustrating. I was not even half an hour. And I called ahead to let them know I was coming back.

This is a great place for treasure hunting. Every day they get new stuff in and I always find something to buy.

They had a silent auction where it ended at 4 pm. They let other ppl bid on two items after the 4 pm mark. The last one won items. They do not do things fair. I feel bad for the customer who said something about it. The employee watched the other person bid on it and didn't say a word.

VERY messy. Areas are labeled but it's still really disorganized and things just feel thrown onto the shelves. The staff is really pleasant but I felt overwhelmed trying to navigate the store and ended up leaving without buying anything. Prices seem decent I guess but I'll find some other way to support the SPCA.

Is it the cleanest, most organized thrift store? Not really. Does it have the best prices in town, for a good cause? Most definitely! The staff here is also consistently friendly and super helpful. It's great to shop here knowing they your money is going to a worthy cause and not a giant for-profit corporation.

It’s really too messy and disorganized to find much here. Clothes just piled like garbage into bins. It is quite cheap though. I got some cheap pillows and blankets to use as stuffing in a pouf once. Also, you have to schedule an appointment several days ahead of time to donate, even when the workers are obviously not busy. Seems silly.

I am giving the store a 2 star. My reason -the organization of the store items has become a consumer and safety nightmare. What does that mean. Items are not organized by size. Items have been dumped in piles. Hanging items are not an any particular order.Low hanging signs in the store is another problem. It doesn't have a path clear enough for wheelchairs, walkers, or strollers. I am sad to see this place like a hoarders home.Use to love this place.

I was very disappointed to see this messsy, disorganized store which had mostly junk. It's sad as other SPCA shops I've been to have been nice. Can't imagine how any money is raised for such a good cause. A complete change is drastically needed.

Love it here. Favorite thrift store in Yolo county. Very friendly, helpful staff. Dogs are welcomed! Lots of stuff that isn't mine but could be! Fairly well organized. Helps the SPCA by raising funds and awareness! You can help animals and find cool stuff at the same time, what really more could you want?

Great deals to be found if you can consistently check back. I have found several manual watches for very cheap, and a lot of electronics (might have to check their satellite building down the street) for reasonable. If you are a student, this place is invaluable for finding all of the basics you need for your apartment.

This store used to be great 2-3 years ago. They had an electronics section, the prices were very inexpensive, and they had a good rotating stock. I've gone twice in the past 6 months, both times walking out empty-handed, and will likely never return. Here's why: they don't sell certain things like they used to. For example: laundry baskets. I bought a few from them before, but this time they snatched one from my hand and said, "Sorry, we don't sell those." They use their laundry baskets for stocking items, which I understand, but they literally get hundreds of them in donations and have a surplus sitting outside in the rain. No justified reason to quit selling them. Next, the prices of all items have undoubtedly gone up - meaning double or triple what they used to be. Most logo t-shirts used to be a thrifty $1-$3 each - now most are $4-$6 each. All coffee mugs used to be $0.25-$.050, now they're $0.50-$1. I mean compare it to a retail store - I can buy $1 new mugs at the Dollar Tree, but when they were $0.25, that's beating their price by 4-fold. I can buy BRAND NEW logo t-shirts at Walmart for $5 (really, go check out Dixon), some that are even made in the USA. So my point is, when you go to a thrift store you expect to pay less than what you'd pay for the same, new item. Half their store is retail price now. In addition, their selection has dwindled. Finally, they used to have MUCH better prices and quality compared to other thrift stores in a 30-mile radius, but now they've fallen drastically. What a great store gone to waste...

I always think of this place as a bit of a fun treasure hunt. They have stuff packed into every nook and cranny and I have purchased some nice items for killer discount prices. It can be a bit disorganized, chaotic and crowed and times because this is a popular spot for students and bargain hunters, but if your in the mood for a shopping adventure this is part of the fun.

Prices are great but it has gone way downhill in presentation, organization, and quality in the last few years. They need to clear out the unsellable junk that has been there for years like piles and piles of old rusty golf clubs and broken items like chipped mugs and dishes. Maybe they need a color coded labeling system or something to better rotate the stuff that hasn't sold for a year. Still has bargain prices if you can manage to sort through the mess.

The third of three thrifts shops in Davis. SPCA is the least expensive. The vibe is variable. Sometimes it is upbeat and eager to earn money for its charitable work. At other times it is as if the customer is being done a favor to be allowed in the shop. The staff are the same. Many are courteous, friendly and eager to be of help. Others can hardly be bothered to acknowledge the presence of a customer. Some are worse. Overall it is worth the occasional look see.

To busy and crowded no recognizable sorting system .I found one shoe. And spent the rest of the time lookingfor it.As the whole place was comfortable overall except he costumer service was quite judgemental and that lead me to leave and shop elsewhere

Use to be awesome, recently raised prices significantly. Also, got rid of unique old electronics and machines. Book store redesigned and prices raised. Sadly, I figure it's just a year or two from Goodwill status.

I used to really like this thrift store, but it has gotten small, cramped, and disorganized. They also no longer carry baby stuff like bouncers, seats, tubs, or toys. Just a few baby clothes. This is a big difference from 2018 when I shopped for my previous baby.

The inventory is large including furniture and rec equipment out on the sidewalk. YCSPCA always seems quite busy but we'll staffed with friendly service. I appreciate how well organized items are.

BEDBUGS! My friend bought a small dresser there today. She opened the bottom drawer at the store and it was full of clothes which she brought in to the salesperson. When she brought the dresser home and took it out of her car a pile of bedbugs began pouring out of the back of it from a crack. This means the clothes inside the drawer were also infested. When she tried to bring it back to the store that day they would not take it because of the bed bugs! So she left it there anyway and drove off because she did not want that item in her car any longer infesting her car. Furthermore the clothing store always seems very disorganized and the furniture sitting outside on the ground is clearly not inspected or taken care of. Buyer beware! I reported them to the downtown Davis Business Association today. They clearly need to be inspected.

My son gave me a $50 gift card for my birthday at the end of January. Today is 05/29/20 and due to circumstances beyond my control I am leaving Ca state to move to Florida To donate all my stuff it would cost me a $10 pickup fee from SPCA, OK Whatever! oh by the way Would you please honor my gift card for cash due to these unforeseen circumstances. Darci.S.....the manager outright refused to pay me cash. I have never in all my days met anyone so rigid about rules....Who may I speak to regarding this issue. Darci S...with the God Complex says that “there is no- one above me”.PERIOD Are people not meant to be flexible and caring and helping one another during this time. There is absolutely no good reason for her to NOT honor my card with cash. I always donate to SPCA and purchased from them over the years, I AM PRETTY DISGUSTED to say the leastOne other time I purchased a pair of tiny gold ear rings from her as a gift for my daughter. They were $80. Not even had 45 mins had passed when I saw a JC Penny flyer the exact same earrings. On sale down from $59.99 to $21.99 Within the hour I requested a refund with item proof in my hand to Darci who again blatantly refused....
