Went there with the family last week on a weekday. Even though we weren't allowed to pick strawberries, they still let us walk around the farm area. Got a box or strawberries, a shortcake and cheese cake. All were very good. Love the shortcake the best.

Best find driving down highway 1! The strawberries were perfection. Also had wonderful baked goods and desserts. The coffee was delicious. So good we made sure to stop again.

Thoroughly enjoyed these strawberries! Ate a pint by myself. So fresh! The shop is really fun shop with a funky vibe. Feels like visiting an old friend place. Lots of goodies to try. My son's favorite is the marionberry cobbler. Hefty servings available for self serve in display coolers. I totally enjoyed eating strawberries by the ocean!

Wow! This place is beautiful. I got here right before close and because of the recent rain we couldn't pick strawberries but oh boy, the cookies alone are a reason to come or the cheese cake or pretty much whatever else is sold there. My friends and I bought almost one of every sweet left at the end of the day. The staff is super friendly and there's such a family feel. You can tell lots of love and effort has been put into everything. 💯 Worth the drive.

We loved our strawberry picking experience. I’m glad we had windbreakers on since it was a very windy on the day we visited. The lot for picking was about 5 mins walk from the store or you can drive down next to the area. At the store, cobblers, pies, jams, coffee and soup were also available for purchase.

Great strawberry farm! With a store with jam, deserts, and merchandise available and if you follow the dirt track begins the strawberry picking experience. Adorable area with a choice of picking them by a carton or bag and payment is on the basis of how many pounds of strawberries you pick! Loved the experience beautiful farm.

As a regular customer at Swanton Berry Farm, I can confidently say that it is one of the best places to visit with your furry friend. The cozy and welcoming atmosphere, along with the delicious pies, make for a wonderful experience every time. I appreciate that this place is dog-friendly, and I can enjoy a slice of pie while spending quality time with my pet. The sweet and savory pies are always exceptional, with flaky and buttery crusts and flavorful fillings. The use of fresh and locally sourced ingredients is evident in the quality and taste of the pies. The staff is always friendly and accommodating, and they make me and my dog feel like a part of their family.

It was really nice that this farm have the options of buying strawberries or you can go pick up strawberries out on the field. $8/lb so not that bad when you get the full experience of picking. It’s a great place to bring your family to get some delicious cheesecake or cobbler as well!

We have been here for many years to pick organic strawberry and they are sweet. You pick a box at the shed and then pick the strawberries. They weight them and you pay cash or credit. It’s $8 per lbs which is reasonable since it is organic and you can also pick and wash and eat them. Staff are very friendly and love this place. Highly recommended. Bring your families and friends and drive slowly.

If you want to pick strawberries, you can drive south or east along major highways, or you can take the beautiful 1 down the coast to this place. My resident strawberry connoisseurs assured me they taste better than the supermarket ones they gobble down several times a week and I trust their judgment. Sure, some folks might say they are pricey, but it's worth it for the drive, the swallows flitting about, and that great ocean breeze/wind.

A must see! This darling strawberry field is located off of Highway 1in Davenport. It is all self service and the honor system. There is someone around if you need help using the POS. Inside it is warm, cozy, and inviting! Games for kids and such interesting decor. There are a few gluten free options- chocolate covered strawberries, strawberry lemonade and strawberry apple cider. Lots of swag like hats and t-shirts as well! Can’t wait to come back here and pick strawberries during the summer! Look for the yellow truck out front! No cash accepted. Cash tips highly recommend!Two port-a-potty’s are onsite and clean.

Organic strawberry farm. The strawberries are very sweet and perfect for a family strawberry picking activity. Plenty of parking space and friendly staff.You get to pick up the tray box from the farm store. Pick as many pounds you like and pay $6 per Lb. We went there the Memorial weekend.

Very spacious, laidback U-pick place to go to in bay area! What a way to enjoy strawberry foods! I know organic U-pick place is very rare to find! You can get jam, juice, cake, pie, whatever you can imagine with strawberry! The downside is it tastes not that sweet!

This place is great, with an open area to sit and eat their organic berry products. We had a berry pie, strawberry short cake, and berry cheese cake. Also you can pick your own strawberries from the farm. It's wonderful.

This is a must-see place while traveling on Highway 1 or if you are in Santa Cruz. Absolutely delicious jams and other organic specialties. Paying for anything is on the honor system, cash or credit card. Great picnic areas with lots of funky things to look at in the shop. Stop by and pick up a couple jars of jam!

Swanton Berry Farm, one of the happiest places on Earth.🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓For years we would make our way down to Davenport to pick strawberries and hang out at Swanton's. The last few trips down have been to bring food, sit outside have a little lunch in sun, grab a few baskets of freshly picked strawberries, DEEELICIOUS strawberry or marionberry shortcake (never a shortage, fridge is always fully stocked), a jar or two of jam, listen to great tunes and play a few games. Hot cider and coffee always waiting, there might be soup with toppings, and THE warmest staff. Pies, cookies, cheesecake, tshirts, tote bags, oh my.🌞🌞 🙌🏼 Rain or shine, always a wonderful adventure at Swanton Berry! 🙏🏼

Even if it is not strawberry season, stop in for soup, baked goods and jam. It's truly a fantastic place full of yummy things year round. Strawberries, cream ontop of shortcake with a cup of fair trade coffee is delicious. The hummingbirds put on a incredible show. It's always a good day at Swanton Berry.

A hidden gem on the very quiet slow coast. This place is famous for its jam, strawberries, strawberry shortcake, cheesecake, fair trade coffee and vegan soup. It’s an homage to Caesar Chavez and the UFW and the history of the area. We go here on weekends as a family. They take credit card payments on an honor system on square and cash. They also have great picnic tables and this place is great for beating the heat.

This place is pretty amazing. A local strawberry field where you can go out into the field and hand pick your own berries. Inside the building has more strawberries for sale, along with other veggies, pies, cheese cake, chocolate covered strawberries, cider, and more. You pay using an honest till and can eat inside on the tables provided. Fun old time music is playing as well. The strawberry short cake is one of the best desserts I've had in a long time. And the cheesecake was also very good. Can't wait to snack on my hand picked strawberries all week long.

Beautiful Strawberry Farm. Some Strawberries are sweet and some are not. But nice place to pick the fruit with kids. The farm is organic and we were informed that they spray no chemicals.

My wife and i love this farm stop. Everything is ORGANIC, FAIR TRADE and. A UNION FARM. From the coffee to warm apple cider, and the pre made soups, pies and jams and coco strawberries everything here is delicious! The prices are great. Yes they are a little high but you support a fair pay for farm workers lives. There is usually plenty of parking. And they currently follow all covid guide lines. And still do the awesome honor pay system. Meaning if you have cash you drop your money in a cashier drawer sitting on the counter or if card pay you type in the total amount your self! And there's always some there in the back kitchen incase you don't understand how to pay. It is also wheel chair accesable. And pre covid had restrooms. Also pre covid you can sit outside and enjoy your fresh goodies in a beautiful open grassy area. There is also lots of cool sign to look at and read.

I Love this sweet place, Always a favorite Stop! They are abiding by all restrictions and sweet as ever but I can't wait until we can just sit and relax there again. The chocolate dipped Berries are still my favorite 😍

Nice farm.went for strawberries upick. 4.5$ per pound for upick. There is decorated barn with pies, jams , coffee and etc. You can play games, read books and have fun there.

Awesome spot for organic berries, jams, as well as homemade soups. Best organic strawberry u-pick spot. Honest box for payment but they even accept credit card. Great pit spot of traveling up/down highway 1.
