Really nice vibe. Not too crowded. Dogs allowed on leash (well trained, off leash). Pit toilets available. Easy walk to beach. Please pack out your trash and pick up after your dog so this great beach is enjoyable for all.

One of my absolute favorite beaches. The low tides exposed many interesting things. The weather was beautiful. This beach has easy access and bathrooms. I love finding sea glass here. It's dog friendly which doesn't pertain to me but I love to see friendly dogs playing and loving the beach like me.

Nice, open, dog friendly beach with wade pools and sandy beaches! Good place to explore and see shallow sea critters and collect shells!

Great place to walk on the beach, make a sand castle. Watch the surfers. Or just play with your dog.

This is by far one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve been to in Northern California. The beach is never overly crowded and is the perfect place to relax, have a picnic, and watch the sunset. Highly recommend to visit for anyone staying in the area.

The best kept secret of Davenport! #1 place to visit for tide pools. Make sure you check the tide charts before visiting if going for tide pools. Tons of pelicans flying overhead. Bring your water shoes because the mussels can be sharp to walk on barefooted. Look out for sea anemone, hermit crabs, starfish, and crabs. Lots of surfers if the water is right. Doesn't get too crowded unless it's sunny out. Better time to visit is when it's overcast in my opinion. You want to go all the way to the left once on the beach, not to the right. Better tide pools over there. It can get really cold and windy so layer up. Respect the residents. Parking is easy depending on the crowd. There are public restrooms available at the entrance to the beach. Make sure to stop by Whale City Bakery and grab food to bring along.

We spent a great day here at weekend with less people. There is no such a parking lot, but you still could park along the street. Just notice that park your car within the white line. The restroom is at the entrance of the trail to the beach. No facilities for washing hands. There are swings for fun on the left side of the trail. The left side of beach with fine sands, but more coarse sands on the right part of the beach. If you would like to observe the sea creatures, better try the rocks of the left side of the beach. There are more crabs, hermit crabs, fish, and sea anemones. The water is little bit dirty in the middle of the beach because of the seaweeds. Anyway, it is a wonderful place for kids and surfing here!

Love this place. Parking is on the side of the street. Nice and quiet... okay for dogs, clean area, there's toilet, and garbage bins. Please dont leave any piece of garbage there and respect the area. Take only pictures and memories.

Had the most wonderful peaceful time. Visiting after moving to another state 5 yrs ago. People were so friendly, small enough groups of people gathered. We had a singer in our group, and at one point! All the beach goers sang along with her and applauded at the end.

I timed my visit to coincide with low-tide (just Google “davenport tide charts” to see when it’s low tide - the lower the better), and that allowed me to wander through a huge amount of tide pools toward the south end of the beach. After that, I was able to reach the tunnel on the north end (it’s only accessible during low tide) and walk through it.The whole experience was inspiring. It feels very wild there. During my visit I saw tons of sea anemones, mussels, barnacles as well as a couple purple sea urchins, starfish and oystercatcher seabirds.

Beautiful beach! Lots of dogs but they didn't bother us. Tide pools with sea creatures. Kids had a great time.

Super nice dog friendly beach, parking lot is not big but that makes it better since it limits how crowded the beach gets. The tide pools and caves were fun to explore, but so was playing in the water however caution: there is no life guard at the beach so please watch your children and pets the waves weren't too hard when we arrived at 10am but by 5pm current was a lot stronger. Also there isn't any shade so make sure to pack umbrellas or a canopy.

My kids and I had a blast here tide pooling! Lots of little critters and sea life to see and eat terrain to traverse. Bathrooms available at the entry and a easy walk down to the main beach. No steep terrain or trekking to do.

Nice beach, easy access, restroom and playground. Not a lot of parking, the hiking trail was open. We visited for a short time and enjoyed the scenery. Please clean up after yourself, the locals keep it nice.

If you want a beach away from big Santa Cruz crowd come here. Beautiful views. Windsurfers and surfers too! Enjoyed my time here with family. Pets allowed, main reason why I came here(on leash, but honestly if there friendly and trained they can run around and be free near you) they have a bathroom...outhouse style wheelchair path down to the sand and a small playground. Tide was just right for the kids. Parking not to bad one way road where you park on the side. But gets crowded so get there early.

Nice cove about 6 miles north of Santa Cruz. Has parking near the beach, and restrooms. Intermediate to advanced surf spot off the reef at the south end of the cove.

A surprise gem in Davenport. Heard about this beach, but didn't expect the nice facilities, easy parking, toilets and swings. Great quiet beach.

It's a pretty nice small beach area. Lots of cliffs and a great view. Dog friendly which is a plus. I'd give it a full 5 stars if they could do some maintenance on the bathroom area.Outside of that it's a great place to find ocean polished stones.

Multiple surf breaks. Tide pools. Bathrooms. There is a bakery near by. Very visual. Sandy beach and rock outcroppings.

The tide pools are awesome and if you go at a negative tide there is a tunnel on one end that is worth visiting. There is also quite a bit of sea glass if you hit it at the right time. The one drawback is that the sand is more like tiny pebbles and hurts your feet if your are not wearing shoes. Not a big deal, but gets a little painful after a while.

Super fun to bring kids out in with sandals on so they dont cut their feet but at low tide you can walk out to the pools and see crabs fish starfish and all the fun stuff, the water isn't too bad all round but I'd recommend bringing snacks and hanging out while you're there .

My family loves this place. It's got easy access to the beach from the car park which is great if you've got little kids and heaps of beach gear. Plenty of wind and waves when it's blowing. Lots of windsurfers when it's windy, surfers when it's not and there's swell. There's always dogs off leash, which is sometimes annoying but not usually too bad. They tend to be unattended, which can be a problem with small kids and/or when they eat your lunch. There's a swing set near the road which is great for swingers. fires seem to be ok too
