Fun place to bring your dog. It’s doggie heaven. Friendly, knowledgeable, caring staff.Been a long time Pet Food Express customer since living in the Peninsula and the Danville location is just like the San Mateo and Burlingame stores. Great pet food selection for your dog, cat, bunny, or bird. Be sure to describe what your pet’s needs are and you will get a lot of helpful suggestions and ideas from the staff. Wonderful, high quality merchandise to choose from. There is no hard sell here.What is great about this location is there is Self-Service Dog Wash (Perfect if you have a large dog - for $15, deep sinks with steps for Fido to walk into. There are different kinds of shampoos and conditioners, towels, and blow dryer), a dog play area, a VIP Petcare Wellness Clinic that is open M-F 2:30 - 7:30 pm, a dog training classroom, and a cat adoption area, and a goodie bar (at dog eye level). My dog loves to sniff.There is always a staff member who will greet you and your furbaby as you walk in. And your furbaby will get a treat coming in and going out - lots of happy tail wagging - if you allow it. This place is so much better than the other big box chain pet stores in the area.

This staff at this location are so friendly and go above and beyond every time I visit, like way above and beyond. In an era when Customer service and just general friendliness is basically non existent, the staff here are such a vibe (similar to the old school TJ’S folks) who actually strike up conversation with you . I don’t mind driving down to grab my Great Danes food and schlep it home. We used to be on auto ship direct from open farm because they didn’t carry her specific puppy food but now that we’ve transitioned to the adult formula, I know I can depend on them to have it in stock and it’s buy three get one free, cha-ching. Good vibes in this store for sure !

First time here to try out the pet wash station! For $18 you get to use the facilities for washing and drying your pet (25 minutes of total time for rinsing, shampooing, and drying) without the hassle and clean-up of doing it at home. Towels and a couple of treats are also provided. Simply put the provided plastic collar on your pet, attach them to the wall mounted leashes, and away you go! What a fun experience! My pet seemed to enjoy it as well. The staff answered all our questions and appeared happy to help out. Yay!

First time giving our dog a bath service and it was super easy. They had everything for you including wash collars, towels, shampoos, etc. there was also someone nearby in case you needed anything. There was even a treat bag waiting for our dog for after the bath. It was definitely a fun and clean way to get the dog bath outta the way.We bought 3 washes and got a fourth free for around $50. I’ve never really taken my dog anywhere but the backyard hose so idk if this is expensive. It certainly seemed like a good value once we got back there.

This is a general review for Pet Food Express. Got a big bag of a dog food that apparently had a lot of wheat in it and caused my dog to have the runs. After a couple of days went to one of their stores and the staff there was very helpful and knowledgeable. They detected that I purchased a different line of food with more grains from the same manufacturer that the usual one I buy. Returned the wrong food and bought the correct one. Problem solved.

This Pet Food Express location is exceptional - I started coming here because they were partnered with the rescue that I adopted my two kitties from. I had never been to any of their stores before so had no idea what to expect but I have been consistently blown away by the staff ever since I first came in. And I am not talking about just one person that has been helpful, I mean every single one that has helped me out has been incredible. These aren't your average pet shop attendants - these guys (and ladies!) know their stuff! Due to some changes in my kitties' eating habits, I have been trying out different foods to see what is right and several staff members have bent over backwards to help me figure out what to try. They have provided me with food samples to test out and assurances that if anything I buy does not work out they would be more than happy to take it back and give a refund. That is some pretty amazing service! On top of that, they have a great selection of quality cat (and dog) food. I cannot speak for other location of the chain but this one is a joy to go to and I now go nowhere else!

Didn’t have 4 bags of the brand of dog food for my dog to get the 25% off perk they offer - the only reason I shop here. Yet would not provide 25% off for buying 2 bags like they always do when they are short on product. Perhaps policy changed. Guy at the counter was stiff and unfriendly about it so I left without getting what I came for.

Convenient to my home .Great service helping with choosing dog food that are comparables to ones I've used before. Knowledgeable about treats and the products. Everyone was sick to offer help and took my heavy dogfood bags to trunk of car. Clean store. Indoor Dog bath area available and comfortable to use. Buy 3 get one comparable price free a great draw to use the store.

I enjoy this Pet Food Express location as it has plenty of parking out front and some trees/grass in the parking lot to break your furry friends before going in for a dog wash, etc. They have a good selection of foods, treats, and toys. Highly recommend their pet wash for convenience and not having to bend over low tub like at home. The elevated tubs and not having to clean up after is worth the cost! Pet Food Express also supports a ton of great causes and I really appreciate their involvement in the community.

Love this store. Besides all the necessary supplies for cats, dogs, birds, fish, etc., they have a wonderful self service dog wash facility, cat adoptions, partnered with the Martinez' Contra Costa County Animal Services. Of course my fave: the reasonably priced VIP vaccinations and ID chipping.

I bought a few different kinds of food for my fur babies to try in effort to switch up the proteins and flavors, however only one of the four(4) bags I purchased was preferred by my fur babies so I called and spoke with a very understanding individual who told me to bring the food back that was not eaten(which was most of it) and even though it was open they took it back to give to pets in need AND allowed me to exchange the open bags for three(3) new bags of the food my fur babies would eat at NO CHARGE! The individuals who work at the Pet Food Express in Danville, CA are exceptional both personally and professionally. The ONLY place I recommend buying ANY DOG OR CAT FOOD is Pet Food Express!

The staff is knowledgeable about the products and takes time to try to find the best option for your fur baby specifically. Very caring, kind, and smart individuals make up the staff. If they question anything they look it up and check every ingredient, going through items one by one to make sure it is the right product for you and your fur baby and making it a point to ask if there are any issues going on so they can recommend the most helpful product for your fur babies. The people who work here really care and are exceptional human beinggs. Great store for all kinds of pets, dogs, cats, guinea pigs, birds, etc. Employees are very helpful and nice. It has a great area to bathe your dog if you have one, and it has several classes that they offer for training your puppy too.

I cannot say enough good things about this place!! The store is immaculately clean, ALWAYS!!! They have pet sinks to be able to give your doggy a bath & their right in the front of the store off to the side kind of. They have great, Made in the USA food & treat options "ZERO products from China" 👍👍But possibly even better than not selling any food items from China is their Staff of Employees and Managers!!! Theres been multile times now where making it there before they close was going to be extremely close to possibly not making there before closing. 2 times I called prior & asked if I make it there a few min after closing can I please just run in and grab what I need really fast & I'll even pay with cash or whatever is easier 4 you guys & 1 other time when I didnt call prior, got there a few min after closing & they still let me grab what I needed!!! Seriously this place & the people working there make this a great place to get your most important family member(s) their food, treats, toys, clothing, whatever... they have it all

This is a perfect place for all of your fur babies needs. The also have a permanent VIP pet care office inside. Very convenient for our babies that don't like the visiting the veterinarian's office!

Challan, is the best Costumer Service Rep at Pet Food Express. She went above and beyond helping us with are dogs Rio and Sofia when we came in right at closing time. She helped us give our dirty dogs a bath. She is awesome.!

Kathy took the time to share with me all her training tips and tricks for german shepherds so I could teach mine. Leaving the store my puppy was leash trained, laid down, responded to me, and she even helped me get food that would help with his digestive problems. I cannot explain how much Kathy changed my life by helping me with my puppy.
