Baby turtle on its back, the owner did not care, he said trust me I’m not gonna let a $200 turtle die, he said that if I flip it back over it hast to learn his lesson so he’s not going to. Wow I can’t believe that this has good reviews.- five people pleaded with him, A mother with two children, everyone visibly upset about this situation. He only assisted - when he saw me take out the camera to take a picture.

We have done business with Reptropolis since about 2003 when they were in SC. Jesse (owner) was an employee then and was an expert with all the reptiles in the shop. She helped us choose a Green Water Dragon for our young son and we became regular customers for years. We always received courteous, knowledgeable and friendly service at this outstanding mom & pop store: in contrast to the "big-box" pet stores.14 yrs later, Carla is healthy & part of the family here in NC.

Please DO NOT buy Bearded Dragons here. Purchased one from here in August 2022 and have had many issues ever since.1) She was sold with tail rot (unbeknownst to us at the time).Took the bearded dragon to a vet for this (specific for exotic pets) and was properly treated; thankfully her tail did not have to be partially amputated which was possible.2) Visited the store to purchase food for the bearded dragon shortly after getting her and observed a young boy bringing in a box of baby bearded dragons. Gave the impression of "backyard breeding."3) Last week brought bearded dragon in to the vet again (this time to renown exotic pet vet) after a handful of visits to the previous vet due to overall health concerns (appetite and weight loss) and was informed that there is a tumor on her liver, to enjoy her while she is here and to bring her in to put to sleep when it is time.Coincidentally, while outside with the bearded dragon getting her some natural sun earlier this week, a neighbor stopped and said their bearded dragon purchased from this same place died as a result of a tumor on their liver. Spare yourself and family the heartache of having to put down your pet way too soon because you bought from here.

One star is far too much for this place. Far too many animals dying. I didn't see one single basking light, instead they have ambient red light bulbs that obviously do not provide enough heat for most reptiles.

Pete and his wife are a wealth of knowledge in raising a reptile. I bought a Bearded Dragon that they hatched. Very healthy boy, named Kyle. Almost 3 now, went through his first hibernation. They have healthy feeders for all your reptiles. I would not go anywhere else. Their supplies are very comparable and reasonable. I love taking my grandson in to see all the reptiles....very well kept and healthy ❤️

Great place to get all the need-to-know info on your pet. My daughter and I got our first corn snake here and Pete helped us tremendously. Everything from helping us make informed decisions to. Recommending the right food and how to heat our tank. I checked out a few other places here in south OC. This place beats anything else around.

I usually stop by to get crickets and/or meal worms for my albino leopard gecko. We purchased him from Reptropolis in May of 2020 and have had him since. If I have any questions or concerns, I can call the store and have confidence that I can get the best information available.

The one guy is really nice today I bought a baby Turtle. Always very helpful. Sadly was out of live rats today. Guess I bought the last of rats. Wanted to get one for my other rat since I had another one but sadly it died didn't get it from here. The other 2 where my snakes food sadly they won't touch frozen.

I bought a female ball python from here at a reptile expo. Then she died two weeks later. After doing a lot of research it was apparent all my husbandry was correct and I had made no error in her care. So I called the store and they assured me there was nothing wrong with the snake. I had to convince them to refund me. And after I convinced them they FORGOT to mail me my check. Extremely dissatisfied with the service and quality. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else if you're looking for a healthy reptile and friendly service. I did finally get my check, three weeks after I was told they'd refund me. It was quite the hassle and if you're reading this your better off somewhere else.

This is our favorite reptile store! The reptiles are always well cared for and the service is awesome. We have been going to Reptropolis for years and have never seen any animals in cages that were not well-maintained. It is always the highlight of our day when we need to pick up supplies for our reptiles at Reptropolis. It is also very helpful that their feeder animals are in stock when we need them. The gentleman that owns this store is very knowledgeable about all different types of reptiles, and is super friendly. He answers all of my non-medical related questions about my bearded dragon. I only go here for food and lighting. His prices are very reasonable, and I actually found that he's cheaper than Petsmart. He has a variety of live food, and a great variety of pets for purchase. There are even some resident pets that are also very friendly :) He also has tanks, branches, vines, food additives (I get calcium powder), heating pads, lighting, etc. I definitely recommend this place to anyone who has a reptile or is looking to get one!

Fell in love with the Chameleons they breed and couldn't help but to bring one home. Months later, I am so happy that I did. My li'l champ is the best! Reptopolis is the BEST reptile store for both animals and supplies! Owner is passionate about the animals and offers extremely accurate care and guide suggestions! I just picked up two baby bearded dragons, both extremely beautiful and fun!
