amazing pet store with very friendly and knowledgeable staff. we love their self serve dog wash area! $18 for 25mins is well worth it for a large doggy. the dog wash has everything you need - shampoo, conditioner, water, hose, leash, aprons, blow dryer, etc. highly highly recommend!

Great pet store. Staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. The collar and lead I bought were the wrong size and I had no issues exchanging it for a new one.Beautiful new dog tags.Purchased a crate and the employee demonstrated on 2 different crates on how to assemble them. He went above and beyond!Happy I found my new favorite pet shop!

You won't meet a friendlier bunch of dog enthusiasts. Always smiling, always happy, and always willing to help. The store is always clean, the self-wash is always maintained, and the prices are just what I like. Glad to have them nearby for me and my baby when she needs a wash or a nice treat.

Extremely extensive pet food selection so the name is fitting! 😝 I’ve been curious with the raw diets and they have everything from fresh to freeze/air dried! Nice welcome staff to boot, happy pup 🐶

The pet wash is awesome, great option for people who can't wash their dogs at home but don't need a full professional groomer either. My dog is 70 lbs and short coated so a groomer is a waste but he's difficult to bathe at home. Super easy at the pet wash and we always buy him a treat afterwards.(I'm not giving 5 stars because this chain refuses to sell any dog food brands compliant with the World Small Animal Veterinary Association guidelines, which is anti-science and actually quite dangerous with the recent heart disease issues in dogs. The individual employees have always been lovely and the pet wash is great but the company as a whole has some issues when it comes to their approach to selling dog food.)

Always greeted by happy employees. They know what I need and they remember me when I come in with my dogs.My one issue is that the dryers at the bathing stations are not strong enough, but I suppose there are logical reasons behind it.

Mondays and Saturdays they have a vet team in the back to assist in nail trimming and flea , deworming , and the five in one shot for puppy's older than 12 weeks. The shots range from $54-$97 and clippings are usually free depending on the amount of people they have in line at the time. There also is not a fixed rate or free option given but I recommend speaking with them directly of your personal situation as this is what I have done and they were able to end my visit as a non payment , noting I had no money or forgot my wallet , and that allows them to give you a receipt of service and email you the bill to either pay in the future if you can or they just send straight to collections if you're a person such as me and could not afford the shots but needed the visit desperately since my puppy was I'll and I had no other options...

This pet store is conveniently close to my house. The buy 3 get 1 free deal is great. I like the large variety they have for wet cat food. They also have a drop in vaccination & wellness clinic on Mondays and Saturdays. The employees with VIP Vet are super kind and knowledgeable. I have brought my kitten in twice for deworming and to pick up Revolution flea drops for small kittens (this is vet prescription only, so the fact they sell it is super convenient). I will be coming back to get his first vaccinations too!

Nicely stocked and staffed Pet Supply Store.VIP Petcare holds vaccination clinics here. They are easy to use because you wait in your car until it's close to your turn in line.The store is very clean and has a bright, airy feeling.There is plenty of parking outside with wheelchair accessible parking.

Hands down literally the best pet food store chain you could go to. For one. It's almost like a trader Joe's of pet stores. Everyone is so friendly. Knowledgeable and even generous. You could go there and have no money for dog food and they're going to give you some because that's how amazing they are. They truly love animals and they are passionate about their job. And that's one thing I super respect about pet food express

Wanted to write specifically about the VIP Pet Care clinic here because I’m so pleased with how convenient it has been for me and my pup when we needed to come in for a quick vaccination, and the staff is wonderful. I also really liked that they tried scanning for my dog’s microchip so they could have it in her records - it’s the first time in 10 years a vet has ever tried scanning for her chip and I’m so glad they did because we discovered it is either no longer functioning or migrated to some hidden crevice in her body. They got us squared away with a new microchip on the spot. Having that peace of mind means a lot to me.

I went there to buy doggie treats, natural doggie food based on pumpkin and poop bags. The young sales person was very congenial. I needed treats for an 15yo dog that only has a few teeth left. The salesperson showed me the options and i picked the softest treats. Covid protocols are in place. Mask..social distancing...with a lot of cute doggies running around. I feel the prices are good for the quality you are getting. My doggie loves the food from here. You can order online, but we had not been out to the store in a year. I defiantly would recommend getting your pet supplies at this location. Smaller than the big big stores but a great selection. Like everyone, I want my doggie spoiled during his last few years!!!

Just a review for the washing station: main issue is that the blow drier only has cold air and blows really weakly. You have to put an extension on to concentrate the air to make it more powerful (which does help a bit) but the fit is loose and it flies off every couple minutes which is exhausting and infuriating. I spent an hour trying to dry my dog dry (TBF he’s big and pretty shaggy) and we only got 70% done. Spent $50+ for four tokens and still had a soggy doggy. ☹️ By then he was exhausted and totally done so even if I had another token I wouldn’t have used it. Wouldn’t recommend for shaggier bigger dogs.

Had to take a moment and provide positive feedback with my visit yesterday. Upon entering the store in the late morning, I was immediately greeted by Dani, who pointed me to the area where I could find the brand I was shopping for. During checkout, she alerted me to a promo. Unfortunately, the stockroom didn't have enough, but she was kind enough to extend a comparable offer.Especially amidst these times, it was refreshing to have quality and courteous customer service. Thank you, Dani and the team. The store and staff are well kept.

My husband and I recently took our dog Mia to this VIP Pet Food Express in Daly City to get her vaccine shots Etc. This is our first visit at this location. We needed some help and advice afterwards on Mia’s food diet Etc. We have started making out own dog food and biscuits for her and we wanted to make sure we were giving her all the nutrients she needs. We received excellent wonderful help from the store manager Mike. He spent at least one hour of his time talking to us and listening to everything we are doing for Mia. We showed him the food ingredients measurements each day we give her and supplements, dental chews and none raw hide alternatives treats. He said we are doing a great job and gave us some other tips and great advice on nutrition steps we could try. He said her weight is good for her size and if she feels heavy to lift lately it is because of muscle and not fat and overweight. He reassured us all is good and made us feel so happy when we left. He is a lovely manager and knows how to help and please people. Thank you so much Mike 😊👍

It's a nice place. Pet washing stations are awesome. I wish they had Purina Pro Plan dog food. The store is very neat, clean and well organized and that's a big plus in my book. When the young lady saw me looking for my preferred dog food she came over and offered assistance. Very polite and professional.

Super friendly and helpful staff. Very nice and decently sized store.Staff was helpful in providing options for my dog. They even had samples of most treats for my dog to try as see which were her favorite.Will definitely be coming back.Only giving them 4 stars because they don't seem to carry my dog's food brand. But, they were willing to help me find something similar.

The staff is great! Very helpful and friendly. Edgar helped us out with the doggie showers when one wasn't working right. Been back a couple more times. We will always go back just for the hospitality that they show. Makes you feel good to take your dog into a place where they genuinely care and willing to help out a customer even if it's 15 minutes to closing time. No rush, no fuss. Just smiles. Plenty of parking and open showers if you go later on a weekday.

This was my first stop after rescuing my shepherd mix earlier this year. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and knowledgeable even giving her first bath for free. Their same-day online ordering in the Bay Area is also SO convenient. Love this place and will be a customer forever.

The place was clean, and the staff were couteous, and ready to help out. I appreciated it so much because it was my first time to give bath to mine and my daughter's whom I was visiting from Los Angeles. The store was well stocked as well with quality merchandise for dogs (and cats).

The best customer service. I come here monthly for high quality food for my boxer. The staff here is amazing. I had a busy week, didn't realize I ran out of boxer food, and they were "closed at 8". It was 8:15. I called, someone answered, and said they would wait for me to arrive. Not only did they wait almost 15 minutes, but he was happy and helpful! UNBELIEVABLE. I'm a customer for life! My boxer and I thank you!

They don't have lower end brand names like Rachel Ray or Iambs but that's because they really care! They only carry things they would feed their own pets and that makes me feel good about shopping here.

Travis in the Daly City store was eager to inform me how to order Just Food for Dogs on line. He has an upbeat, happy and friendly demeanor. I will visit with my new dog, Hannah, so he can meet us.My pal, Gigi in Burlingame store, had me call on this issue. Gigi is a darling! Working extra hard these days. She is always glad to hear from and help me! I love to see Gigi, Rick (Manager), Frank and other staff. Pet Food Express is the best in the business!!! I refer all my clients, particularly for consultation on age and breed appropriate nutrition choices and changes.

Once upon a time I worked for PFE, so I know what their standards of customer service are. I can't say I was treated badly, i just wasn't treated much at all. I looked all over the store for cat nip, couldn't find it and no one bothered to ask if I was looking for anything, which I had to beat into my employees to drop everything and do when holding a key for the same company in the East Bay. So that was lame, so was waiting for another employee to notice while I stood at the counter because the one there was busy deliberately making small talk to avoid needing to ring me up with a pet wash customer, which really wouldn't have flown at any store I worked at, which was something like 20 or so before we sorted ways.I hate to be the guy to be this way, but I dropped 100 bucks on dog and cat food, which I had to rush to put into the push cart I had to bring (came from SF for a vape shop and happened to need dog food, so I brought the cart to make getting it back less of a challenge) as there were customers in line and homeboy was still motor mouthing away with the pet wash customer. There was at least two more employees on staff, they were doing shipment and I get that too, but we weren't supposed to let lines form when customers were waiting at the register and they did implement that horribly stupid walkie talkie policy such that someone should have been alerted the other register wasn't being used, just the scene of vapid conversation from a lazy employee.Yeah they don't pay enough for what they expect, sure I if anyone know that full well because I complained endlessly about it but I also put in 100% still out of a sense of dignity and because that's how I was raised. I guess the competition with Amazon is taking its toll finally, atrophying the old guard because now the customer service is headed downhill. I still will prefer them to lugging 40 pounds of dog food back from the UPS store, but once I am in a more settled state, I am done with this company because why would I shop here if they aren't even helpful? Duh.
