I used to live in Santa ana and I had my go to fish store. Then moved to garden grove where I found this store. At first my first purchases were great I have a yoyo loach for 3 years now.Many other cichlids.My wife went over on January 21 2024Bought 2 cichlids for me.The store owner told her many good tips which I knew already.But one of them got stressed and didn't last 24 hours. Found him upside down today. Went over to the store and I was explaining to the owner. And he started telling me I told your wife she needed more fish because they fight.And I showed him a video of my tank and he walked away. I went to where he has them and told him look these things happen. I lf it was a week in I get it but not even 24 hours something was wrong with the fish as he is picking 3 out that where dead.And his answer was I sell 100 fish a day if they all come back I wouldn't have a business.I told him look man make things right it hasn't been a full day. And he just said you talk too much. I showed him the fish which I had in a zip loc bag and I said it they was fighting he would have his fins messed up or his body would be missing some scales. And he just said no.Worst customer service ever. I will never go back this guy's store. I totally understand that fish die. But not even a full day and the fish didn't last.He was rude. Telling me that I don't know what I was doing. That he told my wife how to take care of the fish and should of bought more. What a way to lose customers.

This place is worth it , go willing to spend but know the money will be well spent. If Quality is your goal this is the place we'll stocked helpful an kind. Last of a dying breed when it comes to original mom an pop fish stores. There well known they don't even need my review but I give it for anyone who hasn't checked this place out

They have everything you need from fish to tanks to replacement parts, had an old jebo filter and was able to get New hoses from them at a great price.

I come here all the time for fish water and supplies. Some of the employees are there for maintenance mostly so you can't expect all of them to be super peppy and friendly with each person that comes in (referring to the bad reviews) and unless you ask them to hold a fish don't be mad if it's sold by the time you come back XD but they've always been nice to me and answer my questions, or just let me browse around. Every fish I bought from here has been healthy.

The service is great here and the selection is awesome! They are very friendly, knowledgeable and are always willing to help! I take care of our fish tank at school, St Irenaeus, and he has helped me learn how to maintain it. Every so often, well also get a discount.

I have come here twice now. The owners are very nice and knowledgeable. But 2 of the 5 neon tetras and all 3 of the silver needle nose (in the same tank at the store) had swim bladder. I've stabilized one tetra, lost one, and the three needlenose are still stuck at the top of their quarantine tank.I also have had to weed out a snail infestation from my first after getting plants and shrimp. Paid cash so didn't get a receipt for my fish this time around. They have some great fish, but if they just come home to die or I have to go purchase more supplies elsewhere to save them, I'm unsure if I will go back. The Cory catfish and shrimp are happy and healthy.They have lots of amazing fish options and turtles the size of half dollars that should really be in bigger tanks. I know that size is illegal in Washington, so wasn't expecting to find such small turtles for sale after moving here.The regulars I saw going into the store had a great time talking with the owners and clearly had good experiences. I really wish I could say the same. I am hesitant to go back now. I had never gotten needle nose gar before. I saw all of them at the top of the tank and assumed they prefer it up there. So I started treating my tetras that visibly kept bobbing up to the surface, fighting to stay down. But I feel awful now because the three needle nose had their fins right at the surface and I have had them in with the whole tank for 3 days now and just got them into quarantine. Now one of my platies from another shop is starting Bob while swimming and I'm worried for my tank. Checked my water, that wasn't a problem.

I have been going to P&P for years now and I have always received quality fish. Never have I had any fish die on me when introducing them into my tanks unlike other stores. I live in the inland empire and still drive to this location because the other fish stores in the area do not compete. Great good ol classic mom and pop fish shop.

The absolute BEST fish store I have ever been to. The selection of extremely impressive. The prices are totally reasonable. Beautiful high quality stock. The owners are friendly and very knowledgeable. He even offered us a layaway plan on our dream tank! Even though its quite a drive from us we will Definitely be going back to this store. If you love aquariums you'll love this place!

I went here with a friend who visits the place often for water plants, decor, etc. They have a pretty nice selection of tanks, pumps, filters, fish and most anything needed to get, or keep your tank(s) working well. The employees/owners were kind, and knowledgeable and it seemed they knew most people as return customers which is another good sign...👍😁😎

The people who own and operate this place are extremely knowledgeable and always happy to help. We have a 60 gallon tank with 4 fish. We started to notice their health was deteriorating, and none of the petco/petsmart recommendations were working. We went to P&P, he told us exactly what we needed to do, and within 2 days our fish were clearly healing. Still alive and thriving. This is the only place I go for my fish and aquarium supplies. Highly recommend.

P&P fish is a wonderful place. The prices are fair. And everybody in there is incredibly helpful and very informative. I bought guppies from another tropical fish store and they got very sick and the people and P&P spent a lot of time and gave me a lot of information trying to help me save my fish.

All I can say is that they were nice, the fish stock is excellent.. they obviously have everything you want... And they have years of experience taking care of fish.Some people must have rubbed the owner off in the wrong way, because I did not receive any negative attitude from either him or his wife.On the contrary, they were both very helpful, understanding, and informative. I can't imagine what you have to do to upset these people.Whenever I walk into a Petco or PetSmart - I feel bad for all the little fishes.When I walk into p&p tropical fish, I feel as though they love literally EVERY SINGLE FISH.It's in an easy location to find- the prices are reasonable, and I assure you they will have absolutely everything you want for fresh and saltwater tanks. I have never seen such a great selection of fish and products.Highly recommend. Five stars. You will be so happy that you came.

I purchased many things from this store. Spent $100s. Yet, the owner Paul is intentionally rude and close to being disrespectful. He was friendly at the beginning and was helpful. Although, his motive for doing so was to get me to buy things from his store and not the other stores. Not coming back here again.

P&P Tropical Fish is one of the best fish shops I've been too. They have excellent customer service and are extremely helpful. I started my first salt water tank and they helped and guided me. I love this place lots of great fish selection and corals

I am in the market to get back into the hobby of fish keeping, I visited this store as my closest fish store. I was completely ignored by, whom I assume to be, the owners. In looking around the store, dead and dying fish everywhere. There was a layer if dust on everything, the fish that looked healthy seemed to be of poor quality. Really the only bright spot of the store was the cat that loved human attention. I would recommend a different store.

Good selection but really look at the fish. I got some fish looked good with his color light on but when I got them home the all had ich, I went back to show him one and he said I gave it to the fish when none of my other fish had ich. He insisted it was mine and sold me products to help it. So if you do shop here really look at it in the bag.

The fish store is a very messy place, the store smells horrible, and the staff is not knowledgeable of this hobby at all. The fish are cheap because the health of the fish are very poor, most of the freshwater fish have ich, fungal infections, and other diseases. This place is worse than a Petco or Petsmart. The owner is extremely rude and has no knowledge on any of the fish. He told me that you could keep betta's in a cup and that they don't need big tanks or clean water to live. Please don't get ripped off at this store, you are better off spending your money elsewhere.
