My family and I come here monthly if not weekly. We love the variety of products and the friendly customer service. There’s a great team. Everyone goes out of their way to assist and create a connection. We usually see Gerardo and Frankie. If you follow them on instagram, there’s usually a coupon.We have the self-wash punchcard for our beagle and dachshund. They’re pretty busy on the weekend. We used the groomer for the first time today to get their nails trimmed and filed. $20 per dog plus tip. Katrina went out of her way to help us obtain our rabies vaccine records which is a requirement btw. I feel like many people wouldn’t have the patience but we truly appreciate her time and empathy. She was helpful and informed us about how our dogs need extra attention for the future in a very constructive way. Every other groomer we’ve used never gives us the one-on-one experience. We were in the ignorance is bliss stage. I’m happy now that we know what we can focus training on so it’s more efficient and safe for the future. If you are able to get your dog groomed on Sunday, hopefully you’ll get Katrina!

On March 4, I was here with my girlfriend, she bought me a gift - a young hamster. A young girl, a store employee, told me that it was a male hamster. When I came home, after 2 days we were convinced that they had sold us a female female. This is of course not a problem, I just began to live with it ok, but after the next 2 days her belly grew very much. Today, march 9, my hamster gave birth to 8 children. This store sold me a pregnant hamster, it's a terrible scam. It came to me to ruin my mood before my birthday and show cruelty - get rid of this offspring.

Terrible experience at Pet Supplies Plus in Culver City. Despite their policy stating all returns and refunds are accepted within 30 days, the owner/manager threatened my wife and asked us to leave the store because we wanted to return 24 cans of bad cat food that our cats simply wouldn't eat. It had only been 3 days since our purchase, yet they refused to honor their own policy. Shocking lack of customer service and professionalism. There are plenty of far superior and friendlier pet stores in the area. Avoid this store at all costs.

My first time here. I came to use the dog self-wash. It wasn't busy when I came, but they only have 3 stations so I could imagine it getting busy. On the plus side they open later than other self washes. Plenty of shampoos (oatmeal, hypoallergenic, 2-in-1) and the built in dryer setup is nice. No issues having warm water. It would be great if they had just conditioner as well and it would also be nice if I could tether in either direction. The rest of the store is big, clean and well stocked. The prices seem fair and I could see myself becoming a regular.

This review is specifically for the grooming services at this location. We took our 1 year old golden retriever here for her first grooming experience. We communicated this with the employee who would be doing the grooming, in hopes that should be careful with our dog. The overall experience was horrible. She started off being extremely rude to us and condesending about our choice of flea medication and also scolding us for not spaying our dog yet (She hasn't had her first heat yet.. why would we do that unless she's had her first heat? Also what business is it of hers?) Sadly, this isn't even the worst of the experience. We entered the store about 25-30 minutes early before the end of her grooming session to check on our dog, and all we could hear was barking and crying. And we noticed that the groomer was sitting at her computer with our dog sitting in a kennel dryer unattended for over 30 minutes. She ignored us and only took her out when we demanded her to do so. Our dog couldn't sleep for 2 days and was shaking and pacing around our home panicking because the groomer left her in a kennel dryer unattended for over 30 minutes. There have been several cases where kennel dryers have killed dogs and this groomer seemed to care less about our dogs safety. I would avoid the grooming services if it's the specific employee at all costs. Unfortunately, I don't have the name of the groomer, but I will update if I find it out. The store itself and cashiers are great. We also love the self wash, but this review is for the grooming services and experience.

We recently adopted an adult dog and Stacy helped me by answering a lot of questions that I had about supporting his health at this life stage. She is clearly super knowledgable and was very honest about what I did / did not need. The rest of the staff was friendly as well. I loved that it's locally owned and the prices (especially sales) where competitive to what I've seen on Chewy, etc. Will definitely be back.

We have visited PSP Culver City for dog grooming multiple times and Christi and Katrina are the two groomers that we trust for our dog. Even though our dog comes in nervous, they do a good job making him feel comfortable and give nothing but praises when we pick him up. Thank you so much for taking care of our pup!

Tried to ask a question about some food I was interested in getting for my dog. when I approached a gentleman who I think was named Gerald but could not get a decent look at his name tag since once we made eye contact he rushed away as if he did not see me or was too bust to assist. He need to be trained again in customer service. Will be taking all my future business to Petco or another store than this one.

this pet store has so many different supplies for all pets. i own a dog and was happy to see the variety of pet foods offered! they also price match.i also took my dog, Biscuit, in for a bath and brush and they did so well! they treated him with so much love and even got a hidden mat behind his ear flap out! he was so soft and clean afterwards. would recommend

The animals look like they need more attention went in recently and animals look underfed and not looked after. Tanks looked dirty and bedding in some of the cages looks like it has been there for a while. I have reported to PETA and will also file a complaint with the City and animal care. Whoever is managing is doing a horrible job

THE GOOD:The staff:All the staff and supervisors I’ve encountered have been very helpful and in a great mood. Having worked both in retail and customer service I truly appreciate that.The location:The location is excellent although parking can get a bit nuts because of all the other places in the area - especially the gym.The items sold:Fantastic.The prices:Generally pretty good. Sometimes PetSmart or Petco will have them beat, but they have a sign that says they price match.THE BADPhone:I called a few times and the phone rang off the hook.I also heard the phone ring in the store without being answered.The return policy:If you are going to make a return to any Pet Supplies Plus, understand that their policy is not company wide.This Culver City location is franchised and thus does not have the same policies as the corporate company nor other franchise locations.At this location, you can return unopened items or resealable items with a receipt (not sure on the timeframe- 30 days?)You may not return opened cans or pouches of food that your pet didn’t eat or like.…I understand that allowing returns is a privilege, not a requirement, and I respect that it’s always at the manager/owners discretion, BUT this is where other pet stores have this location beat.PetSmart, Petco, Chewy, and even other Pet Supplies Plus locations allow your pet try any food item and if they don’t eat it or taste it and don’t like it, you can return or exchange it.The mixup:During a prior visit to this Culver City Pet Supplies Plus location, I asked whether I could return opened cans and pouches of food my cat didn’t eat, and the girls at the front (one was training the other on the POS) asked someone (I assume a supervisor) and then he asked someone above him (I presumed a manager or owner). I was informed that it was okay as long as I had a receipt. I went home, grabbed the few items and exchanged them for some others.Then tonight, when I tried to return one opened pouch of cat food, the supervisor at checkout said that to her knowledge, their franchise location only allows returns of resealable containers because they can be donated. (side note: major props to the business owner for donating food!! I love that.) However, as I had been told differently not only at other locations (such as in Illinois), but at this very location on a previous visit, she extended a courtesy and allowed me to return my single opened pouch of food. She also said she would speak to the owner and then call me and let me know for the future. (Side note: This supervisor had excellent customer service skills and I am truly grateful that she went above and beyond to make sure she found out for me and for anyone else- since it is especially confusing that other locations have different return policies).Well, she called me tonight and let me know the bad news. She was correct; the owner will not accept returns for opened cans or pouches.For me, being able to return foods that my cat won’t eat is essential because she is ill. She was recently diagnosed with CKD. Thus, her kidneys can’t filter properly causing a backup of toxins resulting in her being nauseous and developing food aversions.Essentially, due her illness, her tastes change on the flip of a dime.As such, I am spending more money than any pet parent should. Since I can’t buy in bulk-because I never know when she’s going to stop liking something- I buy a ton of single items, various brands and flavors of cans and pouches, to find something that she will eat.I regret that due to this location’s return policy, I can’t continue to experiment with any new cat food.Nonetheless, this store is conveniently located close to my family, has excellent products, and a price match policy. I will therefore continue to buy some items here- that I can’t find elsewhere- but most of my business will go to Petco, PetSmart, or Chewy because I don’t have to worry that I’m wasting money on food my cat may not like.

So excited for this new store in town! It’s huge and super clean. It also has a lot of variety in dog food including Victor Pro which is a brand that Petco doesn’t carry and I always had to order online. They also offer self-wash services where I take my Doberman to - it’s very well kept and the cost is super reasonable. Lastly, the staff has been very nice, especially the woman who seems to be the manager there.

I’ve come here quite a lot since it’s opened and don’t get me wrong I like this place. I want you to know this review is just for the self-wash. I went to use the self serve dog wash and so I bought Pet Supplies Plus’s little “Selfie Wash Kit” and then paid $18 for a wash. They told me go to station 1 but when I got there it had dog hair all over it. So I cleaned it out myself. Then when I start washing my dog the water doesn’t drain, so my dog is standing in a foot of water. I tell the dude there and he says “oh I’m sorry use the other one”. I go to the other one and it’s FULL of hair. So I ended up just doing it in the one that didn’t drain. I cannot believe that the manager on shift didn’t come say anything. I won’t come back after all that.

They are finally open! Yay!I took my dogs to get groomed and they both look fabulous. I have two large dogs (Livestock Guardian Dogs), both with long fur and one of them is a super strong 2 year old male, who is challenging to handle, but they both had such a nice experience. My male is now looking to sneak into the store each time we walk by it. Everyone is so friendly! They have any type of food or accessory you can imagine and the prices are reasonable. Self wash is also available and they have a promo now for $14 per dog! Highly recommend!

Online order was cancelled without any notifications. Went to pick up the order the next day to find out it was not ready. Patiently waited almost an hour to find out it was cancelled. Then they couldn’t honor the bogo since it ended the day I placed the order. Online order was faulty - complete waste of time.

I would avoid pet supplies plus Culver City, prices are higher than Petsmart and Petco, they apparently don’t offer any military/law-enforcement discount, the supervisor is rude and doesn’t seem to know much about anything, charged me the full amount on something that was on clearance, the condition of the cage was horrible and smelled like mildew, the box itself had water damage, and still got charged full price, there were only two chameleons up for sale, one was a male, the other was a female, the female could barely open her eyes, and had a gash in her tail, which left me with one other option, the male chameleon that was sold to me is extremely aggressive, I would not recommend this pet store for any form of services or purchases, the store owner/manager needs to make matters right regarding this situation/matter of circumstance!

Now that the store seems to be open consistently, I've been able to explore and it has a good selection of food and toys for cats. I was able to pick up a new toy for my cat which she really loves, and I'll be coming by to try out different wet foods to see which best appeal to her.Prevoius Review: I've stopped by twice during working hours in the past two days (7pm Monday, 11am Tuesday) and the store was not open. It also looked empty inside (no employees) both times. I tried calling the number listed in the reviews by the owner just now with no response. I recently took my beloved cocker spaniel to pet supplies plus for grooming, hoping for a positive experience. While the customer service was pleasant and the staff appeared friendly, I encountered several issues that left me dissatisfied.First and foremost, I was deeply concerned about the safety of my pet during the grooming session. Unfortunately, my cocker spaniel fell from the table while being groomed, and the leash used to secure him ended up strangling him. It was distressing to witness such an incident and raised significant questions about the level of attentiveness and care provided.Furthermore, I observed that my pet was left unattended at times, which is concerning in terms of ensuring his safety and well-being. It's crucial for a grooming service to prioritize constant supervision to prevent any accidents or harm to the pets in their care.Moreover, the quality of the grooming itself fell short of my expectations. The haircut was noticeably uneven, with visible inconsistencies in the length and overall appearance. Additionally, I opted for the anti-shedding service, but unfortunately, it was not performed adequately. Within the same day, my cocker spaniel was shedding just as much as before the grooming session, which was disappointing.Lastly, the overall cost of the service was quite steep. Considering the subpar quality of the grooming, I found it difficult to justify the price I was charged. For three days of grooming, the total amount of approximately $380 felt excessive, especially given my dissatisfaction with the results.In conclusion, my experience at Pet supplies plus was far from satisfactory. The safety concerns, uneven haircut, inadequate anti-shedding treatment, and the high cost left me feeling disappointed and unable to recommend their services. I hope that they take these concerns seriously and make improvements to ensure a safer and more satisfactory experience for their customers and their beloved pets.

Christy the groomer is AMAZING!!This was my first time going there and I was a bit appreciative because I left a groomer, that I was going to for 7 years and it is difficult to get the right groomer for doodles. While I was checking them in another previous client was giving her a compliment, which spoke volumes and put me at ease.My boys are super cute right now after their cut.She was patient and incredibly kind to my boys and myself.She treated them, like I would, which speaks volumes.Not only did she ask several of the right questions, she throughly cleaned them and gave them the perfect cut.Christy was very thorough and doesn't miss anything. Plus, she kept their eyelashes.She is Gold!!!Christy, Thank You Very Much! See you in a couple months.Jin, Juice and their Mom!
