Charlotte and Lorraine are wonderful. There is another woman and man whom I saw but didn't catch their name. Charlotte told me about their 2nd hand shop on site, completely stocked with everything you'd need, and treats for the me furry baby too. She thoughtfully prepared a goody bag for our little guy to take home on our first day and a crate! Our champ is a special needs little guy who had it rough in the past and has serious trust issues. He was treated like a king at the rescue sanctuary. He had a special giant house in his own little area so he could have peace since it gets pretty exciting with do many fury babies running around. The dogs are well cared for and runs on volunteers as I understand it. I saw mostly small dogs but there were 5 or so larger dogs running around outside. They were all friendly. A lot of baking but friendly. I urge everyone to consider this place the next time you're thinking about adopting a dog. Highly recommend. Oh, the drive to the rescue is long but beautiful. Take it slow as a section of the road is wide enough for only a single car so watch for incoming traffic.

We adopted an angel of a puppy rescued from Mexico by Meade Canine Rescue in Creston. Charlotte Meade lives and breathes a deep passion for homeless animals, including older, disabled, or sick ones. She rescues as many as she can, and then says “there are so many more”.If any part of your heart believes you can get a great dog that came from bad conditions, you should visit her rescue to see if your future best friend is there. She travels far and gives them a chance, and we should too.We just adopted our puppy that is so sweet, adorable, smart, and loving, and he is worth more than any designer breed I can imagine.

Im happy they were able to take my senior dog. Sadly we couldn't take her with us because of a short notice move and the places available for rent were all no pets allowed and the very that did allow pets went fast. We had our girl since puppy hood and had always ensured we took her with us and never resorted to giving up on any of our fur family but du to unforseen circumstances 💔 this time it was unfortunate and necessary. Sadly we did feel a little bit of a guilt trip when we left her there from the staff member comments to us but we still felt thankful and grateful that they were able to help us out and we knew she wasn't going to be mistreated and have the potential of going to another home.

Amazing rescue and Charlotte is all the heart. I can't believe how happy the dogs are here! Thank you so much for taking in the sick and old doggos who wouldn't have a chance otherwise and pouring so much love and hard work into these animals. Seeing big puppy smiles and all the pooches resting comfortably makes me believe in humans again.

Called this place to see if they could help with a couple dogs that were abandoned by the previous owner in our property. The woman here was incredibly rude just because I happen to mention I have dogs that I’ve bought and not adopted. She blatantly cut me off and hung up on me without any regard to the intent of what I originally had called here for. If this is how they dare treat a stranger, how can I feel any trust on how they treat animals? I wouldn’t recommend calling here at all for any help.

What a wonderful place! I spent so many months competing with others in SLO to adopt. After seeing an article in the Trib about Lucky, I got to make my first trip to Creston (1hr from Los Osos) and met so many super dogs. I got so much pup love! They are free range. I was allowed to spend hours, which was great since I wanted to make sure I had found my right and perfect fur baby. I should say he found me! This is my first dog and Charlotte sent me home with a starter supply of everything I needed - even a bed and sweater! I get to care for a blind senior and he already has brought me much joy. Check out this rescue 💞🐕🐕

Charlott and the volunteers went out of their way to help me when I was so sick. They took my dogs for two days and cared for them. Then found one of my dogs Gracie a loving home. I was to sick to care for her.

Disrespectful over the phone, I had simple questions about if they take a dog and they wanted to tell me I should never own a dog and I didn't train them well. First off I talked to you for 5 minutes and you are assuming more than you know. Horrible experience. Never call them.
