This little thrift store is adorable. I read the reviews before I went and some people complained about cat smells. All I could smell was clean laundry in the dryer as they wash and dry everything before they sell it. The cats up for adoption are in a room with windows and you can walk in and pet them. The store has lots of items and the prices are amazing. I spent about 11 bucks and had a bag full of stuff!! I highly recommend to any thrifters.

I did not expect there to be a hoard of ACTUAL cats at this thrift store and I'm allergic. It smelled heavily of cat and was very cluttered, cats sleeping on pillows that appeared to be for sale. There did look to be a large selection of items for sale and pretty well organized. Allergy warning should be posted for public safety and knowledge. *Edit to add I did not read the reviews and that is on me.

One of our best local thrift stores. They almost always have VCRs, and CRT televisions, and at cheap prices too! I got my 22" CRT for only $5, that would have been a several hundred dollar TV three decades ago! Not to mention they do 50 cents for a videotape! Many of our local stores charge $1-10. Overall Purple Cat is great for retro stuff, and always one of the first stores I hit up while thrifting.

Sweet people running this shop.We had a great conversation with them and enjoyed what they are all about, trying to help animals in need. Whoever left a bad review about the odor is out of line, barely noticeable at all and again this is a rescue shelter for animals, shame on those who would be snobby enough to be such rude people about a slight smell.5 stars! Thanks for the awesome shirt!Very happy I stopped in to shop there.

My Fiancé and I were so excited to see this thrift store but sadly the extreme odor made it next to impossible for us to browse the items for sale... We couldn't leave soon enough.... Hopefully they can get the smell under control.. otherwise I don't see how they will attract customers.

Out of all the thrift stores in Crescent City (which is in serious need of a decent thrift store!), this one really tries. Although small and full, everything is organized making it easy to find what you may be looking for.

A little hectic where organization is concerned, but that's just because it's bursting at the seems with an excellent selection of gently used items ;) a good mix of clothing over the decades, some vintage-y and some more modern chic. The prices are pretty low, and the sweet kitties walking around up for adoption are a bonus!

Found what I needed, won't be going back there. Easy to get into dispite being disabled. The son of the cashier felt the need to make a "cripple joke" as I came hobbling to the counter. If you enjoy the smell of cat urine, look no further. The purple cat has got covered. (5 stars for having what I needed)

Update 7/19/2021 : its under remodel and closed right now. We checked out this place on an overnight stay in Cresent City and the prices here are great! I was used to so many places overcharging but this is exactly how a thrift shop should be. It's a little small but they have a little of everything.

The smell was too bad to even look at all the stuff they had. Cats are great but before even entering the store it smelt like I was walking into a litter box.

Really well organized. Friendly atmosphere, lots to explore. And there are a few very sweet resident kitties hanging around too for extra coziness. Fairly priced.

Like others before me, I, too, noticed an overwhelming odor of cat urine when you enter the store. However, if you can get past that (some people can't I guess), there are deals to be found.

Purple cat thrift store located down at the Crescent City Harbor every Saturday they have something half price from housewares to clothing to entertainment and every 4th Saturday the whole store is half price

They are overpriced as a thrift store and they only take in cats that they can make a profit from adopting out, not any cats that need help.
