During our trip to Crescent City, California, we had the pleasure of visiting this center. One day, we were just walking around and stumbled upon this center. We looked at and admired the seals but found the gift shop closed. Undeterred, we returned the next day, purchased a charming Christmas seal ornament 🎄, and made a donation. The dedication of this center and their mission to rescue and rehabilitate marine life left a lasting impression. If you’re in the area, don’t miss this heartwarming experience!

A group of amazing people doing amazing work to help the local wildlife. If you are quiet and respectful, you can hear the humourous sounds of the seals sing to each other

We happened to be on the beach when they were releasing four seals. It was a really cool thing to get to witness. We went to their gift shop afterwards and the girl working was really nice to my kids and told them the names of the seals that were released. They thought it was cool to get to watch them be released also.

We visited this past weekend and all of us enjoyed it! They have a cute gift shop and the outside had their beautiful seals. The ladies that where there, answered all my families questions-from silly to smart questions lol very knowledgeable in their information and made our visit! My kids had a blast!Check it out if you're near by! Make sure to leave a donation to help support them with their care for their seals and more that may need it! They do so much!

Fantastic stop with our kids. They happened to have a baby seal in their tank at the time and the kids LOVED seeing him and hearing about him from the lady at the gift shop. A feel god place to throw down some money for souvenirs- all proceeds go back to the animals they help!

Wonderful little shop. It was really cool to see the names of the seal pups they had released and information on the ones they are helping currently. I also want to shout out volunteer Noel for recomending us places to see the Redwoods, beaches, and places to eat. All her recomendations made our day amazing!

Love this organization! They rescue injured, malnourished, and/or abandoned seals and seal pups, rehabilitate them at their facility, and then release them back to the wild. Favorite part of driving through Crescent City is stopping in and visiting all of their current rescues. Plus their gift shop is filled with cute and affordable seal and sea themed items!

A very nice place for animal rehab. Strictly ran according to all governmental regulations, federal and state. Farley the Northern fur seal rescued pup looked very healthy and happy. He has a long rehab ahead of him before he's let back into the wild. The lady host is very knowledgeable about all sea life. Love's Crescent City California area with it's fantastic sights. It needs all the financial help it can be, especially for the food for each special animal.

This small marine rehab center is free, interesting and important. Volunteer staff were super friendly and helpful, feeding the animals in front of us and answering all our kids’ questions. Leave a donation, these folks are doing great work.

I liked the little seals they were out and easy to see! Have to be quit so they don't get used to humans. The shop is never open when we stop by.

Please remember that the NMMC is a rescue & rehabilitation (rehab) organization for ocean mammals. This group includes seals & sea lions which may be resting on local beaches. Do not approach or disturb them. These animals are wild & will bite.

What a nice place to buy souvenirs and get a chance to see some marine mammals that are being cared for. They don’t offer tours or any kind of experience but you can quietly walk around the exterior to view the animals.

I love that there is a picture or a seal as the cover pic sense I found a dying baby seal still conscious on the beach and they told me the specifically dont do anything for harbor seals or sea lions that they could not and would not do anything to help, I'm sure its because seals well seals eat fish, lots of fish and that costs the fishing industry a whole lot of money hints less seals more money probably why so many dead seals keep washing up on shore even babys.....mutilated.....its very sad and they are all for it not helping them at all
