First time at this place today cause my usual spot didn't have feeder mice. I'd give it zero stars if I could. As soon as you walk in it smells pretty strongly of fish and it's pretty cramped in there. The mouse the employee (or manager?) gave me looks sick and he just packed it up in a clear container that was labeled Pet Palace (another shop nearby that's now temporarily closed), and it didn't have any holes in it for the lil guy to breathe. I was charged $3, THREE DOLLARS, for a lousy mouse that I can't feed to my snake for fear it'll harm him. Such a waste. Also he just took my cash and gave me change out of his pocket. There was a register right in front of us but I guess he couldn't be bothered. Just a sus place if ya ask me!

This is a very complicated store experience. It's overwhelming because it's packed to the brim. The tanks were in serious need of attention. Some of the fish were dead. Yet, the selections were there. But, the needed help was not. The gentleman was very kind, attentive and knowledgeable. What he recommended actually worked. And nothing went wrong with any of the purchases The store has rare finds. But, you need his guidance to have it located. I have seen big box stores with tank problems on occasion. This location just needs plenty of TLC.

Peter the owner is incredible. He knew people by their first name when they walked in. He said more than once while I was there, “if you don’t have the money pay me the next time you come in”. Customer service was off the charts! Christian helped me and was extremely helpful. They work together as a team Great! First time with fish tank and set me up and saved me tons of cash. They have everything for setting up a tank, reptiles, and knowledgeable on most exotic pets. Peter has been at this sight for 28 years! Loves people and can’t be beat. Great inventory and prices.

The owner really knows his stuff! Smart with his animals, you can tell it's his passion. Great store! I've gotten 5 fish/ frogs there. Still all alive! And he fills my water jug for a very cheap price . Don't let the genius mess scare you! It's an organized mess!

Been here 3 times all visits have been bad I figured 3rd time the charm but it was the worst. This time service was provided by owner I believe, I took in my fish tank equipment for help and he said he never seen anything like it in his 20+ years and told me to come back another day because he wanted to close the store early. Not sure why they run such a business with such clutter and mess with poor customer service and 0 assistance to aquarium needs. I’ll stick to CK FISH WORLD off Azusa they always helpful and knowledgeable

I'm very disappointed to have to go this far but I've been comming here for a long time and I've gone as far as offering to clean up for him because I was trying to support one of the few non chain pet stores around. He used to buy snails from me he sold them for $3 and paid me .30 cents a peice 10% and as a part time hobby that was all I'd cared to get. Well I asked if he was interested in Dubai roaches since my family had way over bred and took him 3-5000 roaches. Before asking a price he goes and adds them to his then continues distracting me and finally asks so I say they're worth between 500 and 800$ (wholesale price not even sell price) I'd like to get at least half that and he gives me 140 and says that's it. After arguing he made us wait 24 hours to make sure they survived (they did) then he gave us 60$ to make it 200$.. he said he sells those size roaches 5 for 5$ and 1/10 were pregnant females about to lay new babies. I was informed they sell 3 for a $1. And considering I thought Peter was the owner idk how they determine pricing if hes not because it's never what's in store if even labeled. He screwed us over I will never go back. Thanks Peter 👍

Basically I bought a snake from them and they said I paid 250$ when I had paid 300$ for the snake and I wasn’t going to argue with the man so I just accepted my fate but Peter is a great guy and has a great snake shop and has an answer to all my questions very helpful. I wouldn’t buy food or cage items for my snake anywhere else

This isn't Petsmart or Petco. Not remotely. As soon as you step in, your olfactory will tell you this is an old school pet store. But the owner knows the hobby, and has equipment you won't find anywhere else. I needed to find a replacement powerhead water pump. He had exactly what I needed, still sealed in the original packaging. OK, he had to wipe off the dust, but again, he had what I needed and it worked. I may not think of Goldfish Plus as my initial retailer, but I'm certainly going to keep them on my speed dial when I need something I won't find at the other brick-and-mortar outlets.

Support the local aquatic supply store! Nice people with a koi pond full of fish that you can feed if you ask! Small and big lizzzzzards, snakes, and 50+tanks of cool fish. I found great little aquariums, and Nemo there. All supplies are there. They have feeder fish, live mice, rats, crickets and worms.

I have been coming to Gold Fish Plus for a long long time. Peter, the owner is super nice. You can just about find everything you need for you kois and gold fish.I would recommend this place.
