I bought a bag of parrot food (March 10, 2024) . When I opened it at home it reaked. When I looked at the expiration date the food had been expired since 2023! I took it back and told the cashier. She was rude and told me to call customer service. I went back to grab a replacement bag and all 3 bags in the shelf were expired. I told the cashier hey you should remove the bags from the floor. She told me "that's fine" and ignored me. I called customer service and they told me they would get back to be within 24-48 hours and they never did. Safe to say I'll never be going back. Lastly the shelves were dirty and dusty.

This place was the dirtiest and least sanitary retail store I've ever been to. It looks like they haven't ever cleaned. There's dust and just oules of dirt under every row. The counters at the front of the store were filthy. I felt extremely unsanitary buying any food for my dogs there and will not be returning until someone learns how to clean. It won't show as much in the pictures, but there's dirt accumulated in every part of the store. It looks like their cleaning routine is just to sweep all the dirt, dust, stray food and grime under the racks.Please teach these employees how to clean or hire someone to help.It's such a bummer too because they have a ton of awesome products but I couldn't get past how gross the store was to ever want to come back.

It was such a great experience shopping at the last minute for my hamster. We purchased it the night before, and the girl who helped me was incredibly kind. She was able to answer all my questions and went above and beyond to help me. I want to give her a good review because of how helpful and kind she was. 12/29 9:02pm

The groomer who was great named Brook left here and the current grooming staff are horrible, very rude and god knows what they did to our little dog that he is shaking for the past day since we picked him up from there. They shaved his full body while we asked for a teddy bear hair cut, in this cold winter weather. Our dog is always very confident and friendly with everyone and this is the first time he is acting this way which is very concerning.After we called this morning to let them know the situation the grooming manager called back, she was very rude and she was telling us that they shaved our dog because he was all matted while we brush him every day.

Took my dog in for grooming and was more than happy with the results. Staff were super courteous and friendly and answered all my questions. I recommend their groomer Sam and this store without hesitation.

I was told by a wonderful young man who did all the walking for me, and you exactly where to go to find my cat food. He was kind and never once complained. I will go there again no problem. Also, I was there a couple times and I had asked the nice cashier if she wouldn’t mind moving the red ladder away from the kitty cats adoption because it was blocking the view of the window. Ever since then the ladder has not block the window and I am so grateful. It’s a very nice store.

Have taken my dog here a few times for grooming. This last time, the salon worker was incredibly rude and told me that my dog was heavily matted and i should take him to a vet to get the matted hair out. This was surprising because I have taken my dog here multiple times (with some matted hair) and I've never had a problem. Well, I immediately went down the street to Sandy Tails Pet Spa and they took care of my boy. They told me that his matted hair took all of 3 mins to brush out and trim. It seems the salon worker at PetCo was either too lazy or too stressed. I'm very disappointed with PetCo and will not be using their services going forward. Highly recommend Sandy Tails Pet Spa - they were nice, efficient and slightly cheaper than PetCo.

The store is filthy, unorganized (unpacked boxes throughout store), not taken care of by management.The poor cats that are in the cages there. It smelled so bad.The stock is also never up to par.

If you buy high-end dog food that's in a roll and refrigerated. You can get fantastic prices at Costco.

Understaffed; it varies if you will get through the check out on time. They do not assist in taking anything to your vehicle even if you are handicapped and specifically requested it (I saw a customer in front of me and I ended up helping her get the stuff to her car). No biggie but definitely something to consider.

Started taking my dog Chloe here a few months ago, I have to say I am very happy with customer service as well as how my dog is groomed. Special thanks to Francis for being very courteous and kind. Definitely recommend this Petco for grooming to other doggie owners.

This petco is always out of everything. And they don’t have any shopping carts!! They expect you to carry the litter from the back of the store, then to your car! I usually need 60-80pounds of litter. Won’t be going back because it’s so inconvenient.

Art kindly showed me an adorable baby chinchilla (about 3 months old) at the end of January, and I instantly fell in love. I researched a lot and tried to contact a breeder, several people on Craigslist or applied for adoption too… but I have no regret I got my chinchilla at Petco! He is getting bigger and bigger every day. He was very quiet and looked scared at the beginning but is more energetic and curious now. My chinchilla is extremely smart – He has learned how to take a dust bath and where to pee (He goes back to the cage to pee in the litter box wherever he is). He runs much faster and jumps higher. He likes to show me beautiful wall surfing or roll a willow ball. He always listens to me and never hides himself under the furniture; never bites anything except chew toys… He even goes back to the cage by himself after about play time. Today I got him a pet stairs to climb up to my bed, and he loves it! When I was researching, I saw a lot of YouTubes or articles that mentioned negative things about chinchillas so I never expected he would be this smart! I feel a little sad because he is growing so fast, but I love to watch his growth how he’s been learning new things every day :) Thanks Art!Update after 9 months: My chinchilla has even learned “high five” and “hand.” He has become an intelligent, but relaxed and friendly chinchilla. He smiles a lot :)

Love coming here but I went yesterday and there was a sick bird face planted at the bottom of the cage. :( One of the male employees w nice long black hair immediately came to it's aid when we brought it up. It's so unfortunate that corporate is sending in sick animals. A lawsuit could definitely happen, please check on your animals before you let people who will instantly fall in love w them and outta nowhere their new friend is gone:/ The guy did say they would take him to "the back" and keep him in care. I hope the bird is okay and he kept his word

Not good. One employee working the whole store. She was running ragged and talking on the phone to her friend the whole time. Other than her being on the phone, she was doing her best to help everyone, while still maintaining her telephone conversation. Pretty impressive on the multi tasking.The pet food shelves were fairly barren and I’m surprised that I found what I was looking for.The grooming dept. was closed for about a week because their one grooming employee is away on training for a week.Come on Petco, get it together.

Thank you for your help! I went in yesterday trying to find the best cat litter for my outdoor cat who is being forced to stay indoors while recovering from a medical issue. I'd purchased 3 other litters from around town that my cat would not go near. The woman who helped me at this location gave me great advice. She explained that these "cat attract" litters are a gimmick and do not work. Instead she pointed me to a grass seed litter that worked like magic! I wish I would have gotten her name, it is quality, caring staff members like her that make a store GREAT! I would highly recommend.

Both of the items I bought here today were mis-labeled and mispriced on the shelf. Employees had no clue how to handle this situation and there was no manager on site.Also, looking for crickets, I couldn't find a single container with more than 2 live crickets inside.

The grooming here is horrible. Groomer did a horrible job. My dog came out all uneven and did not clean my dogs ears which was included. Manager told me I can reschedule and I asked who have the most experience there and apparently the groomer that did my dog does. I said no thanks. The old man cashier up front got an attitude. He have hearing problem I’m assuming. Because the first time I said something to him he misunderstood me completely so I speak louder for him to hear me. Then he gave me an attitude and told me don’t yell at him because I won’t get any service from him. I didn’t knew Petco can refuse customer for speaking louder because apparently you did not hear me to begin with

Customer service used to be really slow and there are still employees that could use some retraining, but this place has improved during the pandemic. Their in-store stock is great and their employees have been much faster than before at fetching crickets and fish. The fish tanks got major upgrades and the fish themselves look much healthier than they used to. Great job, Petco! This place might actually give the Petsmart a few blocks away a solid run for its money now.

Fast online ordering pick up. Don't like that they always only have cat adoptions, where are the other companions? I'd like to see dogs or other pet prospects. From what I gathered cats are over populated but don't see why other foster pets should suffer from cats... Aside from that, decent prices on items
