Me and my family/friends with dogs have been coming here for years, but I just had such an unpleasant experience with the manager Kayla that I will not be coming back. So rude and unprofessional as she tells me Healthy Spot created multiple accounts for me and I have not been earning any rewards points over the years. Countless dollars scammed away by this company and Kayla could not have had a worse attitude. I will not be returning and will find my pups food elsewhere where decent people work. AVOID THIS PLACE. And train your staff!

I brought my shi-chi in and provided a very simple and seemingly clear instruction: Cut everything short but leave the ears and tail ALONE. Leave them LONG. I even made sure to say it 3 times because I had a bad feeling trying out a new place would cause misunderstandings. Turns out I was correct to not trust these groomers as apparently to them "cut everything but the ears and tail" meant "cut only the ears and tail". They didn't just cut it they completely shaved my dogs ears down to the skin when he clearly had like 5 inch long hair on them before. His tail was also turned into a pompom.... Like how simple is it all you had to do was brush the tail and ears and shave everything else. I ended up leaving cause I didn't want to cause a scene and the "damage" had already been done. It took him months to get his ears back and I had to listed to people laugh at my dog because the hair cut they gave him looked horrible.

-Sales / Product Review -I've been back here a couple of times since discovering this place. I want to say that Rosie and Joshua are truly amazing 'salesmen' at Healthy Spot. I discovered a couple of things that are almost staple in my dog's daily diet since my first visit; Goat's milk! The prices here are a bit higher than norm, but you can't beat the environment and their passion for your pets.Other items that my dogs are in love with are their dehydrated food selections, especially Honest Kitchen. Honest Kitchen has a loyalty program; buy 12 get 1 free! Plus, Healthy Spot gives you 5% off on all their dog food.Grooming and housing are also offer Healthy Spot. It's a lovely place for your pets! Keep an eye open for coupons at Farmer's Market or check-in for a small discount. Whenever I come in and pay for my items, I can't EVER resist rounding up my bill for a donation; puppy eyes effect! I'm a sucker for animals!!!Overall, Healthy Spot is a pet boutique store with high end items. Although it's high end, you are getting the quality and passion. Healthy Spot is a place to spoil your best friend with puppy eyes, so why not?

Love love the healthy spot in Costa Mesa. My furbabies love it too . Healthy choices, it is worth the price. My furbabies deserve to eat good and healthy. They also have good deals . I go to Mexico Mexicali and I take food to pet owners that cannot afford to buy their pets dry food so I try to ask for donations and I received 3 big bags of dog food the pet owners and their precious furbabies we're very happy & grateful. I came here to get my dog groomed. Overall, my dog and I were quite happy with the experience. For the haircut and the typical accessory services, it took around 3 hours for my 60lb dog on a Saturday morning. I was also able to use a coupon I received by one of their representatives at a dog park. One of the benefits of this location is that there are many places close by to pass time while you wait for your pet.

Extremely disappointed with the grooming service here and would not recommend. This is by far the worst and most uneven hair cut my dog has gotten and it was unnecessary to completely shave her like they did. They did call before they shaved her and stated “after blow drying I could see matting on her butt”, which indicated that they didn’t brush prior to bathing which makes any matting worse. My dog is brushed daily and gets regular grooming and shaving her was not necessary. They completely shaved her tail and ears too and left random patches of long and then super close to the skin fur all around her face. My dog didn’t seem like her happy self afterwards either.

The only local place that has raw cat food. The staff is nice and helpful even though I'm one of the few cat owners that go there. It's definitely dog centric; they have dog grooming, doggy day care, run various specials and awesome events for dog owners. Ex: a Halloween event with a DJ and dog costume show last year. It's a fairly small location so it doesn't have the large variety of bowls and toys you might expect from a pet store. If you are looking into getting your animal into raw I highly recommend this location they carry both Primal and Small Bites.

Walked in and was greeted the young lady was very knowledgeable and gave us free samples to try for our dog. Love the fact that she knew information about the products and was not bothered by us asking questions. We also never had to approach her she would come up to us.

This place does a fantastic job at a reasonable price. We have quite a few dogs and bring them all here. There are well taken care of and we have been impressed with the quality of work by their groomers. They are always extremely friendly and seem to treat out dogs as if they were their own. We will definitely be going back.

Only reason i gave 3* is due to having to bring my dog back to correct the cut. Excellent service extremely friendly however the cut was not at all like i wanted. I even showed a picture of how short i wanted the cut and explained i want it shaved to the skin but when i picked up my little guy...he had about 2" of hair still and 3"around neck and face. I brought him back to correct it and still they left 1" after i said i want it 1/8" . i feel as though they left it longer on purpose so that he needs a groom faster seeing as they were pressuring me into making his next appointment already. So overall, as a first time customer i will not be going back. But the staff gets 5*for friendliness

We foster a little dog with I.C.A.R.E dog rescue and Healthy spot in Costa Mesa had generously offered free grooming to our rescues. We took our scruffy white foster dog to Healthy Spot today for grooming, and the staff were unbelievably caring and professional. They went above and beyond with our foster, giving him a full spa treatment. From scruffy to fluffy and beautiful. To just offer the very basic services free of charge is such a sweet gesture, but to give our foster the royal treatment is amazing. I will definitely bring my own dogs here from now on! Its a great business that genuinely loves animals and the staff is fabulous.Thank you Healthy Spot!!

LOVE this little pet boutique! I have a chihuahua and a beagle/jack russell mix and both of them love it here as well! The staff here is super knowledgeable and extremely friendly. If you are on the fence about a specific food they'll give you samples for your dog to try out and always give little treats in the store. Would love if they had a slightly larger selection of toys though for my very spoiled boys who already own most of the small toy selection they sell.

Healthy Spot Costa Mesa is great! Offers many high end and nutritious dog foods, treats, and supplements. They also offer day care and grooming. I really like the day care, it's clean and suitable for small dogs. They always have 1 or 2 members watching and be stationed inside the indoor playroom, they also take the dogs out for walks during day care.

Healthy Spot is our go to dog store. They know our pup by name, always have great deals and give free samples. The prices are reasonable for the quality of items they carry and we've never been disappointed. There's also yappy hour once a month so we can get a moderate buzz and the dogger can get some free treats.

This place was very clean and professional. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Tons of retail options. We got our dogs nails cut and grinded also their ears cleaned. I think we might have found are new pet store .

I had a terrible experience today at Healthy Spot in particular with the groomer “Shea”. I had a schedule with her 9 am. Another client has an appointment at 10 am and drops off at 9. My “Hana” gets bumped for this client. I show up 3 hours later and Shea states that Hana still needs to be groomed. Seriously, she then decides to lie to me and state that she does not schedule the clients. She says that Hana will need an additional hour. I leave , then get a call from the scheduler 15 minutes later, that Hana will be ready in 5 to 10 minutes. I voiced my concerns with the scheduler and she tried to cover for Shea and continued to lie to me. Her lame brain excuses did not add up. Hana was Clearly rushed through. I will NEVER return to that store again. The young ladies that work at the counter are the opposite of what goes on at grooming. They are professional and friendly and go out of their way to greet Hana. Those ladies are first class and it is unfortunate that Hana will never see them again. A big thumbs down on Shea and the scheduler. I will be sure to warn anyone that asks me to give a recommendation on grooming, it certainly will not be this place in particular Shea.

Friendly/ knowledgeable staff, but the prices are hyper-inflated. Relative to what you actual get once the layers of gloss, shine, packaging and fluff have been removed - I may have been better off purchasing some organic human grade Jerkey at a Carnival. Just was not feel’n this joint!Different strokes.... for different folks.

I have a beautiful Bedligton terrier and for years (3). NO GROOMER in Costa Mesa would groom her because they are unfamiliar with the cut . I called you and the groomer said she has never cut a Bedligton but she would like to give it a try. I took the chance and I'm glad I did. The groomer was amazing and I will return. In a nutshell, all the employees were professional and caring and not only that , your store was so clean that it made me feel my dog was safe. LOVE THIS PLACE. .......

Amazing business. All these reviews are done by clueless sheep of memequeen. She tried to extort them for 300,000 then started a smear campaign when her threat didn't work. Now all her sheep are commenting and giving one star even though healthy spot has already paid and handled all the bills. Don't listen to a single word any of these kooks are saying.
