Second time being there and at both times to pick up a gun. Had an issue with my paperwork. They’re not specific with what paper work is required of us when picking up firearms. In addition to that they had only 2 employees serving at least 6 customers. Each customer takes about at least 20 minutes. They don’t have an enough staff to keep up with the demand of customers. It makes having an appointment redundant. I have ended up canceling my purchase and asking for a refund. It wasn’t their fault that my paperwork wasn’t passing.

I love this place. This is my new sporting goods store. The only complaint was my wife wouldn't buy the fishing combo I wanted. I will definitely come back. They are reasonable and have an excellent selection.

Service is so slow been in corona store for almost 2 hours and they haven’t moved forward with helping new Gun sales 3 guys move like they could care less. People leave the store out of frustration. If you call the store to see how busy they are which i tried during the week either no one answered or they put you on hold and after 5 minutes of waiting no one comes back to the phone. I bought a gun and ammunition on line this will be the last time I ever purchased from them.

This place is made for anyone craving the outdoors... camping, hiking, fishing, hunting from slingshot to archery and rifles. Survival food to safes. If you're going for firearms, get there when they open... it's crazy crowded thanks to California's impending 11% tax increase... they're treating it worse that cigarettes. Taxation without representation, and I'm just a veteran, not an über enthusiast... yet.

The slowest gun counter I've ever been to. Been here maybe 6 times and bought 2 guns in the last month. It doesn't matter what number you have, you will be here hours. Just really a bad experience. Picking up my latest gun, getting here 30 min after they open and still waiting almost 3 hours just to be seen. Not because they are busy. They are just that slow. Really only 1 person working the counter because the 2nd works appointments and when they're no current appointments they are in the back. I've tried to make an appointment on 3 occasions. The 1st instore, was told I could make an appointment and the guy just never came back to the counter. The 2nd time I tried by phone, agreed to waiting a week for an appointment just to be put on hold and then hung up on. The 3rd time instore, I was told they weren't taking appointments. Tell me you don't appreciate my business without using words. Thought I found gold when I stumbled across this store but it was fools gold and they could careless. Even the ammo counter is extremely slow. I guess back to the other stores I frequented. SW had good prices but 5 hour gun buying process just to save $30 is not worth it. This is literally the slowest gun counter I've ever witnessed. Whole morning gone just for a pickup. Slowmans warehouse

1 star is being very GERNEROUS here. Called to get some information on a product and process. First I was on hold for 15 minutes then disconnected. Called back, put on hold again for 40 minutes. Called back and the person answering the phones was very nice and told him what had happened and he tried to put me back into the system and let management know. They hung up on me again. This time, called and stated how DISAPPOINTED I was with this experience and lack of customer service and he said he will tell his manager that I want to talk to them. Waited 20 minutes and, guess what, they hung up on me again. This is a store, at least Corona, I WILL NOT ATTEND nor do I suggest ANYONE Attend or Shop from. Heard from others who had similar BAD experience from this store.

I recently purchased my first firearm from Sportsman's Warehouse, mainly due to the convenience of their website's easy navigation and the helpful filter for CA compliant firearms.I had a positive phone conversation with a female clerk who assured me I could make the purchase online, select in-store pickup, and complete the background check after my work shift.After confirming these details, I traveled approx. 75 miles to reach the store before their supposed 9 pm closing time. I arrived with an hour to spare, only to be turned away at the gun counter. They informed me that the counter closes at 8 pm and declined to process any paperwork, even though there were virtually no other customers inside the store.I value honesty in my life, and I hold the belief that if a store is open for business, they should be willing to provide assistance and support to their customers. Regrettably, this principle did not hold true in this situation.Despite having all the necessary paperwork prepared, including my FSC, photo identification, and other supporting documentation, they did not accommodate my request and refused to assist me at the counter.In hindsight, I should have paid more attention to the negative reviews, as it seems others have faced similar issues when purchasing firearms from this store. Now, I'm left with the inconvenience of making a second trip to the store to complete my purchase and a third to pick up my firearm when ready.I've always valued consistency and reliability in my shopping, and this has left me uncertain about continuing to choose this store for my future needs. While I was initially drawn to their unique selection compared to other chain stores like Bass Pro, this encounter has raised doubts about my ongoing patronage.

The worlds worse service ever. I will never buy anything from them again. They have a big christmas sale going right now. I purchased a rifle online for about $500. I received an email that it was ready for pickup meaning, I had to go do the paperwork and then wait 10 days to pick it up. Today, I tried calling 3 times before I went in, no answer. On the final try someone answered and told me to come in they were open until 10pm for the holiday season. I drive about 50 miles from Huntington Beach to Corona took about an hour in traffic and money for gas. I got there at 7:30pm 2.5 hours before closing. I walk in there is only one guy behind the counter a bunch of people waiting, and no tickets it was empty (take a ticket to be helped) I went to the one guy behind the counter to tell him there were no tickets. He told me that if I did not already have a ticket that I would not get helped tonight. He told me I could come back tomorrow. This is 2.5 hours before closing. I told him my wife and I had just driven over an hour to get there from Huntington Beach and spent money for gas. He pointed to the other people that were waiting and told me some of them had been waiting for 3 hours. I asked him again, there is no way you can help me tonight? He said no. Mind you, I have a Turner's Outdoorsman a half a mile from my house, they always have 4 to 5 guys behind the counter. Here at Sportsmans Warehouse which is bigger than Turners they had only 1 guy behind the counter. I promptly told him to cancel my order and give me my money back. I am not going to spend $500 at a place, drive over an hour each way to get there and not be served. The people waiting for 3 hours to be served are chumps. No way would I ever wait 3 hours to give someone my money. These people do not deserve my money or business. If they keep treating customers like this, everyone will go elsewhere. The guy behind the counter cancelled my order I am sure I will get my money back soon. I will pay a few more bucks and go to a place where they actually want my money and will not treat me like this. I am not going to blame the one guy behind the counter it is not his fault. He did tell me that it has been like this for a couple of years there. Anyway there are plenty of other gun shops in Southern California that will not treat you like this. My wife and I drove another hour to get home. Live and learn.

I’ve read reviews both on Google and Calguns of how bad Sportsman’s can be when purchasing a firearm. My recent experience has confirmed this to be true.I bought a lower online and about a week later received an email stating my order is ready for pick up. Came on a Friday morning hoping it wouldn’t be too busy. And boy was I wrong. There was only about 5 people in front of me and it still took 2 and a half hours for me to DROS my lower. I asked the lady helping me the best time to pick up and she let me know mid week in the mornings would be best.So decided to pick up this Tuesday morning and the wait was even worse. They only had two people working the counters and took 3 hours for me to do a simple pick up. I understand sportsman’s has lower prices, but I will never purchase a firearm here again. It is ridiculous that it takes 2 plus hours to do paper work and even so for a pick up. My local gun stores are able to DROS within 30 minutes. The only reason I decided to give them a try is they were able to get a brand lower that is hard to find. But now looking back on it the time wasted was not worth it.I do not recommend coming to Sportsman’s for any firearm purchases. They really need to hire more people behind the counter and train the current employees on how to DROS efficiently.

Worst store ever!!! They would not refund my money after a purchase I made and never received. Then the VERY RUDE manager who should get fired gave me the runaround. The employees say go ahead and make a review we don’t care and nothing will be done about it. Don’t support a store like this. They are thieves!!!

Buying firearms from this store is an absolute mistake; my experience was a complete nightmare! The staff's incompetence and indifference were infuriating. I can't believe the firearm department manager at Sportsman's Warehouse allowed such a disaster of a shopping experience. Not only did the staff at the gun counter seem clueless, but the long waiting times, both on the phone and in-store, were absolutely maddening. They even hung up on you! Yes, you heard it right! They did it several times to me! It's like they want to drive customers away.I placed an online order, and they said it was ready after just one day. I double-checked with the store on the phone and drove two hours to get there, only to be told it was the wrong item delivered. Two days later, after another two-hour drive, they rejected me, claiming the store was closed. Google shows the store closes at 9 pm, but they refuse to do anything after 8. The guy at the gun counter was just walking around, pretending to be busy, wasting more than half an hour for a simple request.On my third visit, after wasting a total of 6 hours at this frustrating place, they rejected my documents, saying they weren't legal. What the heck does that mean? I've bought all my other guns from other stores for years with the same paperwork and didn't have any issues whatsoever. Why wouldn't these clueless clowns accept it? You shouldn't open a store selling firearms or even work at the store if you don't know what can be considered legal documents for purchasing firearms in California! None of the staff at the gun counter seemed to give a damn or were willing to assist you. Don't waste your time or mood here; just visit your local dealer, unless you want your day ruined.

Horrible place to buy a gun. They make you take ticket like at the butcher, so out of date. Until they call your number , hours pass because they only have 2 people at the gun counter. I ended just purchasing a gun online which the way you can make an appointment.Made an appointment to do my paperwork. After the 20 day waiting period I tried making another appointment and the only avaliable appointment was 2 weeks later. I called and spoke with the manager that morning and was told I don't need to grab a ticket just tell them I'm picking up an online order. So I 30 minutes out of my way after work, when I arrive there they tell me to grab a ticket........10 people are a head of me ....what bunch of B.S. not waiting 2 hours. Guess I'll try again Saturday morning but all I can say is I'm not ever buying a gun here again. Hire more people !

The absolute worst!!!!!! The people at the gun counter do not care about you at all. All they care about is making sure that they have absolutely nobody at the counter by the time it even gets close to them closing. Waited 5+ hours at the store just for them to tell me to go home. What an absolute waste of time. I will never ever be coming back.

I called Sportsmans, Corona to ask about a Vortex Scope, mounting rail and other parts, and to see if they had all these parts in stock. I bought the parts and later called to make an appointment to have the scope installed.I thank Chelsea for her help, and Tim for his advice, knowledge and courtesy. I also thank Andrew for his help, and especially David, for going above and beyond, mounting the scope and giving me additional help and advce. I feel very pleased with my experience at Corona Sportsmans warehouse

Customer service was a bit disappointing. I ordered some ammo for pick up, drove 1.5 hours and arrived at 4pm. I was told they could no longer accommodate me bc the gun counter closes 1 hour before the store closes. Irritated I asked for a refund but then another customer comes from behind me and pointed out that the store doesn’t close until 6pm. Seeing that this other customer was also unhappy, they reversed their statement and accommodated both of us. Thanks friend!

I wish I could give 0 stars. So I waited almost 3 hours to purchase a firearm, only one person behind the counter, and not very good at moving customers along. People waiting longer than me started leaving. This place is turning out to be worse than Turners.. managed poorly.

Need to have faster workers shouldn't take long to buy ammo even before that the background check was not require took a very long time. Also at one time I had call to verify if 38 special or 357 magnun ammo was in stock ,they told me yes on 38 special told them if they can hold it I get there 2 mins as I was in the parking lot, and when I asked for that ammo they told me it was not in stock for some time. This was after I waited hours in line that was the reason I had call before. Who ever works in the ammo department needs to have some knowledge. I don't really give out bad reviews but had too for here.Me as a shooter should know what ammo I need and what purpose it's for. shouldn't waist 40 mins to a client explaining him what the ammo it's for. If they do whant an explanation should have someone else that is not doing the backgrould checks or giving out the ammo to waist time.You guys need a better system to move clients faster.

Staff is very attentive and helpful. I wanted someone to open a gun safe so I could get a better look. Everyone was busy, so the greeter went out of her way to find the key and let me inside. I've never had a bad experience in this, or any other Sportsman's Warehouse.

Love this store, glad to see one here in SoCal. A little smaller than other stores found in the west but still has a great selection of sportsman's gear..Unfortunately though Sportsman's Warehouse was just purchased by Bass Pro Shops so hopefully it doesn't change too much.

Shout out to Ben who searched for my Vortex FOV Scout Scope in their vast inventory. Then, Ben professionally installed the scout scope to my Russian Mosin Nagant sniper rifle using front and rear sight balances and a bore alignment tool! The gunsmith charge was an affordable and reasonable $14!It looks like I have a new rifle now and I can’t wait to shoot it at the range! Thank you and Happy Holidays, Ben!

Absolute nightmare to deal with. Ordered two target rifles online. I went in to do the paperwork and start the 10 day waiting period. I was met with very unprofessional staff and ended up spending 2 hours in the store to do 15 minutes of paperwork. All that to find out that they never filed the paperwork and I would have to make an extra trip to the store. It was a 3 hour drive away. Manager would not work with me to make the situation right. When I called the store to cancel the order I was put on hold for 15 minutes and then the line went dead. Had to call the 800 number to cancel the order and am still waiting on my refund.Easily the worst retail experience I have ever had.edit after reply: The only helpful people were the overwhelmed woman working the gun counter that day and an assistant manager named Juergen who did his absolute best to fix everything.
