I went to purchase fish. No one was in the area so I went to the register and had an associate call. It was myself and another family waiting for assistance. After the front register called for assistance it still took the associate another 10 minutes to come. The associate immediately asked how big was our tank. I told her 70 gallons. She proceeded to ask when was the last tank cleaning, how many other fish we had in the tank. I felt interrogated. The staff on that store are not friendly, and come as if they are annoyed to have to assist customers.

On May 13th, I went to get my kitten vaccinated, but I had to go home because the doctor said the 3-month-old kitten was going to kill her. The cat was in a box provided by vetco. But it got fleas. My cat is indoor cat and it was the first day he went outside. I was really disappointed with the worst service and sanitary conditions.

Went shopping for any clearance toys for my now 15 week old kitten and to pickup Blue Buffalo Dog food. I had a $5 BB coupon. The food was already on sale for about $5 off its regular price. With my $5 off added I got a great deal. Friendly staff. I feed my 5 week old kitten, Blue Buffalo Baby Blue kitten high protein grain-free can food. There are pet foods & treats you can only pick up at Petco. Shopping tip: before buying an item check the price on Petco website. You'll save money. Petco will price match there own website and other sites. Also check Target or Walmart prices There're a few things you can get at a much lower price. Worth the drive across the parking lot or up the street. Amazon is another price saver.

This store is very bad. They have turtles at half off on Black Friday. I want to buy one. I have raised turtles at home for many years and I have the equipment and experience. But the employees there wouldn't buy it. So unfriendly. Poor service. You also have to buy other things there, otherwise they won’t be sold.Will never buy anything there again！！！

There was a sick guinea pig, and I told the employee about it, and they told me it's not in a voice that had the "im smarter than you" aditude.Buddy, in my 8 yrs of exp with guinea pigs, I know if a guinea pig is sick or not more than you.I told another employee, and they took the poor baby away and told me they will try to help.

Ran in to re-stock on dog food and stopped by the fish section. No knock for the staff, the tanks look well kept with clean water and healthy fish. I saw a betta fish in an actual TANK today and felt so happy! He looked so happy in a tank, lively and curious about the snails and swam up to me when I approached. Hoped to see more bettas in tanks with filtered water, but walked two feet and there were dozens of betta fish in cups. I'm certain this is a corporate policy and not a staff policy, but I hope there will come a time where keeping them in cups becomes defunct. You can clearly see the difference in demeanor between these two fish.

We took our Johnson type American Bulldog Petco off of Cajalco in the 15 freeway color for the first time. At first she was a little scared because of all the new sights and smells, they were very overwhelming to her oh, but she perked up real quick once we found her pink Pearl and Diamond studded new collar! Not to mention a couple of toys she could munch on. She is a 6 month old American Bulldog puppy that weighs 60 lb already! I couldn't get her to get out of Petco she kept trying to run back inside the store so she could check out more toys and whatever else she thought of! It was so funny I had to pick her up and carry her out.

Always a fun adventure there with all the pets. They had over the counter ear drops for our dog. Very friendly staff and people were having pets photographed with Santa while we were there. 😊

Staff is usually nice enough. I try to go to another location when I can. We Had a bad experience with grooming last year and ended up having my 9 month old puppy traumatized and unable to be groomed going forward. Reached out to management and corporate with no response. Their hours are not clearly posted/difficult to see.

I have been going to this Petco for 12 years. Everyone is kind and helpful. My dog has been groomed here for 10 years and has had three groomers over the time. The most recent years has been Julio and he is fabulous. I take her in monthly and my dog loves him. Ronny is the other groomer that is always in and just as sweet. Both dog lovers.I have seen some negative reviews but can say this has never been my experience or anything I have witnessed.

My boyfriend and I adopted a cat thru Petco from a woman named Jordan a few months ago. He’s been sick since the first day we brought him home and finally have figured out he’s sick from a Periodontal disease, chlamydia, and one more that has something to do with his lungs. He has lost a lot of weight from not eating and he is on several medication currently. The vet at Centennial animal hospital said someone else just came in with another cat with the same symptoms and that they also got their cat at Petco here in town. I have no idea if the cat came from Jordan’s home care or if she is aware that the Chlamydia is highly contagious and could be spreading while in her rescue home care to the other cats that she takes in like our Romeo. I figured all this info is worth posting just in case no one is aware and so that it may stop spreading to other cats. As far as my boyfriend and I are concerned we are devastated and have grown extremely attached to Romeo but now may have to put him to sleep if his health keeps failing him. I hope this info was helpful going forward and no more healthy cats will be infected.😔

My husband and I went in to purchase active charcoal, the girl in that dept "fish 🐟 dept" had no knowledge of what that was. It turn out they did have it in stock and we made our terranium it came out beautiful 😍 ❤

Ok so if you are in the market for a pet fish this is the place to go! I have been to small pet stores, Walmarts, and this is the only place that I have found that has all living fish they also sell lobsters which is rad... I truly appreciate the care that is being given to the animals in this Petco. My only concern is all of the farret pet gear they have, as it is illegal to own a pet farret in the state of California. They have very neet reptiles.

One employee seemed a little bothered when I asked where a particular dog food was but made up for it but assisting me put the 80lb bag of dog food in my cart. He even helped me scan the barcode because I was doing instacart. Really nice of him.

Walked in on a woman giving an employee a hard time for warning her against buying a fish. The employee handled the situation very well and professionally. Unfortunately the woman was convinced she can put a large gold fish in a small 3 gallon uncycled tank, speaking as an avid fish keeper this is will end up killing the goldfish. Big kudos for that employee on doing a great job in making sure an animal will go to a proper home!

Usually have most of what i need. Prices are more than double now. Cat litter is 4x's what it was just 2 yrs ago. Staff is usually helpful and friendly.

Went in today to buy fish. Didn't appreciate being asked 101 questions about what I have at home and how long it's been running. I have fish and this guy just kept finding every reason to not sell us one. Not sure what the issue is at this store or if the return policy is causing the issues. Went to PetSmart down the street and had no problems.

How dare you not let someone buy treats because he told his dog to sit and you blamed him for soliciting! Thanks to this experience ALL Petco stores have not only lost my business but my entire family's business. Aunts, uncles cousins, parents and grandparents along with all of our friends will be boycotting everything and anything petco related.

I came into the store looking for several items. I was greeted by an employee who help me find everything I needed for my new pet. He suggest things I needed to get for my dog and I bought them, The store was very clean and you could feel the friendly sprits in the store. The people were very nice.
