Georgi and the team at Corona del Mar Animal Hospital made it super easy for us to get our international pet health certificate! I first met Georgi at our primary vet, Stonecreek Animal Hospital in Irvine, and we were just chatting about the upcoming international trip I had to France. She mentioned that her vet could do it and she made it easy for me to schedule an appointment. Georgi asked questions the document needed, filled it out for us, submitted the docs, and kept us informed on its status including the docs being shipped back to us. Super happy I met Georgi and got the certificate at Corona del Mar Animal Hospital. Can't wait for our next international trip!

Spare yourself time and money. Do not do to this vet. My family and I have been coming here for years. We walked in yesterday for my dogs rabies appointment, where the receptionist didn’t even greet us. She weighed my dog and kept telling her to Stand on the scale. I told my dog to sit down to help her get an accurate weight. She said “no you don’t need to do that”. Then some random person came from the back, didn’t explain the process (my dog has had a negative reaction to the rabies shot) and a different person came back to return my dog! No one checked us out only to find the bill emailed. Wow. We don’t even deserve a phone call to check us out? We will be going elsewhere.

This was my first visit to Dr. Jennifer and I was a bit disappointed. First, the price is outrageous. I brought Toby, my golden, in for two vaccines, a heart worm test and to discuss arthritis meds as he ages. The bill was $415, which I assumed included heartworm medicine. Nope, I was supposed to pick that up the next day for an additional $185*, so grand total if I bought the meds if $800 oops $600. Really? A bit pricey, no? Oh, and even though my dog runs and jumps every day and had parents with hips rated excellent, Dr. Jen wanted to sedate him and take X-rays the same day for hip dysplesia (sp.?). Really? That would have upped the bill for a ROUTINE VISIT to $1000 at least, I am sure. Also, she did not do or at least did not do in front of me or tell me she did it(sure she would have charged!), the test for golden retriever pigmentary uveitis. It is an essential test for all retrievers over 6[my last dog had it at 6 and we caught it early and saved his eyes). It’s a simple test of examining the whites of the eyes for inflammation aka pink eye and checking for high eye pressure (glaucoma). For shame, Dr. Jenny. Also, some on the staff have a lot of attitude-one lady who “helped” me when I came in for the heartworm medicine, was very snippy when I questioned such a high bill. I have been bringing dogs to vets for over thirty years and this was theONLY bill that left me speechless. Finally, the doctor and her staff act like hairdressers, not professional women. My hairdresser, Heather who is in her 20s, has pink oops blue hair as do the other 20 something hairdressers. On young ladies it’s a cute statement of individuality (though they all have it so they are conformists) but on a bunch of female professions much closer to sixty than twenty, it’s trying too hard to be hip and young. So, assuming she’s pretty competent (but missed an important test), she’s still way out there on pricing. Even in Newport Beach, money doesn’t grow on trees. She shouldn’t use people’s love of their dogs to fleece them. Do the right thing, Dr. J. *** Heartworm medicine without extra add-one, is $62 at Chewy. She never asked if I wanted the triple formula or basic. My dog gets sick on strong medicine and we already have a prescription for flea and tick, so the $186 med was unnnecessary and dangerous. Let me guess-a referral fee for prescribing the med? All the vets that are money oriented seem to prescribe the expensive, strong formulas. I miss the days of James Herriot.

A picture is worth a thousand words -see my 2 star review under Ann F. Maybe this is why I thought the heartworm pills were included in the already outrageous bill for a simple vet visit with 2 vaccines (estimated cost-$200-$250 max). By the way, whoever heard of charging $100 oops $10 for poop disposal when they insisted I bring one, even after I told Miss Snippy on the phone that his poop was totally normal. Surprised they didn’t charge me for printing the bill, sitting in the office, the glass of water I asked for, etc.

My dog usually goes to a different vet, but CDM Hospital accommodated me due to an emergency. They were very busy but found time to see my sweet Lily even though she had never been here before. The customer service here is exceptional as well as the care and concern for my dog.

I've been going to CDM Animal Hospital for 24 years. This recent visit was my first time since new ownership took over. I brought my golden in because he had something in his paw (or, as it turned out, a broken nail). The new "owner" insisted it was a knee problem and insisted on x rays and insisted he would need orthoscopic surgery. I asked her to simply look at the paw, but she knew better. An hour later I was charged $775 for her services... and (because Dr. Aten happened to be on the premises) they confirmed a broken toe nail. No consideration to NOT charge me. I will NEVER return. I cannot stress this enough: do NOT go there! You will get fleeced.

I have seen Dr Cruz twice now, both times she was amazing. She took the time to listen to us and was very thorough checking our dog. I am confident my dog is in good hands. Huge fan, ask for Dr Cruz

We have been taking our pets, past and present to Corona del Mar Animal Hospital since 1996 when we moved here. The level of care, caring and veterinarian skill is outstanding. All the doctors and team members we have known over the years have always put our furry babies and their best interest first. Thank YOU!

My daughter rescued 2 kittens who were malnutrition & full of fleas fighting to stay alive! After calling around with no luck we went to CDM animal Hospital I was inmediately helped by staff who were not concerned by payment but to help the kittens who you could see their little spine and bones. Carolyn, Parisa & Devin right away got into action by Making the kittens some food, it broke my heart to see how desperately they ate! Carolynn even change the Dirty towel they were in and gave them a clean one. They gave us some free food and instructions on what to do. Parisa gave me her personal cell and said to call her any time if their health deteriorated in any way! This really gave me comfort because we have never owned cats and I was really afraid of them not making it through the night! They gave us instructions on how to bathe them at home & care for them while at home. I am a single mom with limited income and they will save Donation of items for kittens. They are really Amazing Human Beings and I know because of their love and care for Animals these kittens are alive and Thriving! Tomorrow I will take them in for check up! They will forever be our vet for all our pets

I have been taking my dog here for years and I can’t say enough good things. The people that work here really care about your pet and so do the doctors! Everyone is friendly and extremely happy. I used to hate taking my dog to the vet because I was worried about how he would be treated but I feel so comfortable at this office. The doctors here are really amazing and know what they are talking about. My dog has IBS and before he was diagnosed with it I was taking him to every ER and vet I could find and he had so many tests run and nobody could tell me what was wrong with him. I took him to corona Del Mar animal hospital and Dr. Hansen evaluated him and said he had IBS, put him on a specific food and he’s been great ever since. I love this office. Thank you for all you have done!

A wonderful vet that we have taken our family pets two for 50 years now. Dr. Atin is the bomb but not the only doctor there now. They are always professional, employee help is always warm and concerned about the Or patients. They have always gone above and beyond in the care and protection of our pups. I can highly recommend CDM animal hospital. The Wells Family, Cameo Shores

I have trusted my pet’s care with Corona Del Mar Animal Hospital for over 25 years, and have only good things to say about them. Dr. Aten and his staff are kind and caring, and also conservative in their approach to pet care. No matter how busy they are, there is always time to answer questions and address concerns.

When you have two elderly dogs the ability to get quality, convenient and affordable care is paramount. CDM Animal Hospital has always been there for us. Dr Hanson goes out of her way to make every visit worthwhile. We love the place.

It's taken me over a year to comment on our experience. My Dexter on 11/27/19 was dying at 15 years old and the lack of care and compassion for his well-being was so disheartening. His little body was broken, blind, and deaf with added injury post an unexpected fall on the stairs. The cold recommendation was endless tests. I'm not shy of spending money for his care but not at the expense of his tired body. He thankfully passed away at home in my arms hours later after the appointment. I do not wish hardship on any business or employees. My review is only to encourage to advocate for your pet when the veterinarian sadly does not.

My senior standard schnauzer was going to a different vet in Newport Beach and he would go to CDM Animal Hospital for grooming services. After years of frustration with the other vet, we decided to switch to CDM. I am so happy we did! My senior fur baby has been suffering from numerous issues and Dr. Hanson and Dr. Aten have been so responsive and understanding. He shakes profusely whenever he goes to the vet, and they know how frightened he is, so they treat him with extra loving care at CDM. I trust them implicitly and know we are in the best care there. Thank you so much to Dr. Hanson, Dr. Aten and all of the unbelievably kind staff. Luke thanks you too! ♥️

If I could leave less than one star I would. The only reason I'd give it one star is because Dr. Hanson is the best thing about that place.I had to put my kitten down unexpectedly and when I went to take him, unfortunately Dr Hanson was out of town, so another Dr was the one putting my baby down. The meds were not put in properly and he woke back up. I had to be taken into the back with my sweet baby for them to put even more meds into his system for him to finally be at peace. They sent him to an offsite facility to have his paw print taken and to be cremated. When I finally got his ashes, they gave me the wrong paw print. After such a traumatic experience putting him down and then still being charged for the wrong paw print, I still decided to give them another chance because I trust Dr. Hanson so much with my pets.I brought my other kitten in for surgery and I was told I'd be charged the same pricing of my previous pet when she had surgery there, but low and behold, that did not happen.I just found out, through a rude, tacky and extremely unprofessional voicemail left from Kyre that the Drs have no say in this animal hospital. This office manager, Krye, makes all the decisions regarding your bill regardless of what you've already been told the price would be.I don't live in the area and I drive all the way to Corona Del Mar Animal Hospital because of how much I trust Dr Hanson, but unfortunately I do not trust the rest of the staff. This has become more of a cold hearted business than a place people can take their fur babies to that they can trust. All of the receptionist and the office manager are impatient and uncaring. I cannot imagine working in such a toxic environment. I will never bring my pets back here.

Came for evaluation of my moms elderly dog and ultimately had to put him down. The staff and doctor were above and beyond amazing. Professional and efficient but also so incredibly kind too. Highly recommend.

I have been taking my Bull Mastiff & St Bernard here for 8 years. I took my previous beloved Bull Mastiff here for 3 years prior. These people are like family and take very good care of my kids. I am a very UN-TRUSTING person by nature, but trust these guys 100% with my babies!

This is a fabulous Vet. The pricing is reasonable, and, more importantly, both the doctors and the staff care. They remembered me and my pet, and they took very good care of everything. I highly recommend this business for the care of ones pet(s).

Grooming experience horrible. 9 month old Maltipoo puppy went in for grooming with a beautiful coat. Came out with 1/4" coat. Not allowed to speak to the vet. Office manager would not let me talk to the vet. Unacceptable!!!
