Hostile work environment, poor training, management is a joke. Especially Amanda, she never helps or pitches in without complaining. You don’t have a work life balance it’s more like a temp agency. Everything’s is dirty no one cleans besides sweeping because it’s mandatory. ! Mold is everywhere, produce, meat dept, dairy area, the bathrooms are like a gas station dirty and stinky. Everyone is afraid to speak up for themselves because Amanda is a power trip. She is ego motivated. Don’t waste your time working at Corning Safeway at least. I hope other Safeways aren’t the same.

Safeway is always there and they always have what we need especially Safeway on Nord in Chico, and the employees are very nice and helpful and so are the managers.

It was clean, well stocked and the cashier was pleasant.The outside 'wanderers' were a bit iffy at first glance, but they too seemed respectful and pleasant.

Stopped by here for food at the Delhii and they gave us a very little of the salad portion compare to other Safeway we've been. Kind of disspointed because we were hungry from our drive around.

The night manager here is just awesome! Super friendly and she was patient with me (not everyone can be lol especially at midnight when i run in through the door at 11:59 saying I'm just going to grab one thing!) The store was clean and pleasant, the night before when i went the deli employee was just as pleasant and i from those trips alone will definitely be back!

A good clean store that needs a better produce section. After all, it's sits in the heart of the Sacramento Valley on I-5. Represent Calif better to the I5 traveler. Other than that the service is great and store clerks kind and friendly.

I was able to find what I needed and when I got to the front of the store to pay for it, they had ONE checker working and a line at least 10-12 customers. There was a second checker but they were doing something so they were not helping to move the line at all.When this happens, I put my items down and walk out. My time is valuable to me and when it gets wasted at times like this, I have no desparate need to purchase the few items.

Clean great service no bakery though but if calling ahead they will try to accommodate and they do have a flower area and deli and a meat area to buy fresh food. Has bathrooms in the back of the store. Sells ice, bundles of wood, baby formula, gift cards, they have redbox, change machine, lotto machine for scratchers, western union, stamps, Bottle water.

It was alright up until I tried to use my safeway e-gift card. While the e-card had about 3 different options on how the retailer could charge it, lousy customer service told me I could only make use of it if I print it out. Go figure.

So I guess now Safeway doesn't celebrate 4th of July you had small cupcakes with 4th of July colors and that was it. I am absolutely appalled.

I went in to get something and when I got to the cashier she was getting scolded in front of a long line of people waiting to be cashed out. I had to interrupt and say that it was very unprofessional she needs to take the person away on a side without a long line of people waiting. Lead cashier or manager needs to get retaught How to be a supervisor.

Had not stopped for a couple of years but remodel is an improvement from my memory of the store. Being right off the highway it's a convenient stop in a long drive. Thank you to the person who got the electric cart unplug and going it made two lives better for fifteen minutes.

Pretty good selections. Very friendly help. Have most items I'm looking for! The produce gal refunded on a bag of cellophane salad mix w/o the item but did have my rcpt. Had it like 2 days b4 going bad. That was kind customer service!

This Safeway is very well kept and clean. The workers are rude to everyone but they are open until 2am at least.

Although the store is very clean and well stocked, I found the prices to be a bit higher than the average. Selection choices of goods could be a bit more rounded out but there is enough. Seafood selection was great and the employees were very helpful. All in all, we will return again.

Not sure why I like it so much. It has a huge selection. I get good discounts as a 'Just for U' member, and their store brands are good quality. No complaints- except choose one with a bakery. Their fresh-baked items are delicious.

It was a good experience the store is very well-stocked and clean prices are okay not high but not low and the staff is very nice eager to help you if you have a question don't shop there that often but I will be back in the near future

This store is alright. The employees are not as happy to greet customers as other stores I've visited so the feeling while you're there is more along the lines of, "just get what you need and leave" where as other Safeway's would be more busy, all the employees would be almost eager to approach and engage in conversation with regular customers. Maybe I come in too late or something for this town but definitely a convenient store to shop at. Haven't had any problems here. I even brought in a bag of Takis from another store and wasn't questioned or given any looks for not setting it on the belt to scan with my groceries. They seem to pay attention to their customers.

A busy market with most of grocery items on my list. Very clean and good lighting throughout. Some items I can find in out of state markets can be found here. Checkout is quick and efficient (bring your own bags, bags sold at checkout). Staff is friendly and helpful.

Store was so so asked an employee where and item was she had no idea she said there may be a frozen product if what I was looking for but she didn't want to show me just point I can't stand that not knowing store and an employee who works there can't at least take you to the area I mean there was nobody at the register it was about 20 mins from close then I say my items on the belt and said ok I'll be right back im just gonna set this down because it was freezing my hand and I didn't see a cart to use I came back she had a line of about 3 people just standing I was like why would you just stand there lady you could of went ahead and got them they each only had a couple things she may I been tired I understand that but geeze like your just standing there when you could get people thru ur line and the prices are excessive

Awesome night crew people as of 3 years ago!!! But Sadly this year 2021 I walked into the store it smelled like something dead. The milk area was so gross and looked like milk splatter everywhere smelt so sour 😫 we are from out of town now, but coming to a place I grew up from and seeing this unclean environment was very disturbing. Health inspectors need to visit here often.

The better of the only two grocery stores in Corning. I'm familiar with it because I shopped there for the last 30 years while I lived in California. Familiar faces of the employees nice floral department decent Deli produce always fantastic some of the best butchers in the North State

Same treatment as Foodmax but more expensive. Now that they no longer bag your groceries or help you out I would expect their prices to drop. Sometimes I feel voyeuristic as the staff are having personal conversations and I'm often not addressed until I'm handed my receipt. If I ever ask the newer staff for help locating an item, I'm given a flippant response of "I don't know" as they pass me by.
