First off doing online pickup and having drive up option on the "ready" email should only be there if the phone works. I just went into Concord Petco for a pickup of 2 small Cat items. I went in straight to the register, showed my email confirmation. The cashier checked the cabinet, it wasn't there. She said can someone come unlock some cabinet on a walkie. After about 5min she said I can't be the only 1 working and requested again! So I said, I saw in my email confirmation you have "curbside" but there no stall or parking for it sooooooo? Her response was our phone never works so it's best come in! WHYYYYYYY is it in the email then?!? Come on people make it make sense!! So finally some guy came up, asked my name again as if she didn't provide it. He checked the cabinet looking all over then came bk to me asking my name AGAIN! I said hey if this is too much I'll leave and come back another day! The cashier looked irritated as well as myself. He then checked the same cabinet AGAIN and said oh here it is. I think he left his brain in the back doing whatever took so long to come do his job. First & Last visit!

After 11 years of loyal service with 20 to 25 percent tips we were told we couldn't bring our 11 year old 12 pound Pom back for grooming because he has to take breaks during grooming. Tried to reach out to management and National headquarters with no response. Just a reminder to take your business to small local Business operators.

I would like to complement your crew in your Concord branch... Namely... Holland, Christa and Randy... They were all super helpful! They did not hesitate to walk me to the area I needed to go or answer my questions. They were very knowledgeable and were patient. Kudos to such a wonderful group...:)

I enjoy shopping at the Concord Petco. The store is well stocked and their merchandise is reasonably priced. Additionally, I appreciate the availability of parking at this location. Based on my experience at this store, I will definitely shop at Petco again.

When I entered the store, I was not greeted with a “hello and welcome” or even just a “welcome”. If the store was busy, I can understand and don’t mind. However, this time, there was a cashier helping just one customer. I usually would get a quick greeting of “welcome”. Nothing this time. (Just for your information). There seemed to be short of staffing. Items on the stocking cart waiting to be stocked on the shelves. When I went checkout my item, the male cashier did not greet me by saying “Hi” or anything else. He asked if I have my phone number and I entered it in the card pad. He scanned my item and I paid for my item. He gave me my receipt. Didn’t say “Thank you and have a good day” or just a “Thank you”. I said “thank you, have a good one” and heard nothing back from him. I’ve been going to this Concord store for many years. It seems like this store’s service is going down hill.

I went to petco to get a few fish to add to my 18 gallon tank , and the guy that was helping people in the fish dept....REFUSED to sell me any fish ....because I had told him ...that one of my current tetra fish at home ....makes me laugh....cause he chasees my other fish in my tank, ....he said he couldn't sell me any fish because my fish at home is aggressive.!!I was shocked.....doesn't Petco want their employees to sell their products/ animals!!I will never shop at PETCO EVER AGAIN !!

I came in on Thursday (4/8) in the morning with a newborn kitten that was found abandoned up in the hills. The women working were so incredibly helpful and caring! They were still attentive to other customers in addition to getting me what the kitten needed. Happy to say that kitten is now in a happy home with all the supplies they recommended. Thank you for being so kind and thoughtful!

Dead rotting rodent, had to be there for more than a few day. Advertising mealworms and dried mealworms with no nutritional value for leopard geckos. Mealworms will kill a leopard gecko they can’t digest that. And just poor knowledge on the health of their animals and what they need. Avoid if you can.

Be careful of the fish you buy here. They usually have ick, and unless you medicate and quarantine your fish, you shouldn't just place them in your tank.Good selection of food and treats for dogs

Terrible grooming, even worse customer service. This is what I get for trying to save $20. Kristen B (grooming manager) is a condescending, unprofessional human to say the least. Pics speak for themselves. The bizarre looking , sad dog is the product of PETCO…the cute doodle is the product of an actual groomer with actual skills

As always, this store seems to have on point staff that is attentive to your existence and frequently asking if there's anything you need help with. What I find frustrating about The whole Petco experience is the lack of offerings for highly desired items that are only available online and never in the store. This makes no sense to me and is somewhat ridiculous to be honest! I also find the fact that the online prices are completely different, some substantially so as in more than half off the store of marked price. I was asking an employee about this and their response was something along the lines of them believing that it is cheaper to order things online and or have a delivery done for a better pricing point. Really? I'm sorry if I don't understand how that makes Any sense... The only one complained I had about this visit was I specifically had asked where they had moved the clearance items too because the store is actually known for fantastic markdowns up to like 90% off of super high-end and expensive products, including foods and otherwise for any pet. It used to be mixed in amongst the normal stock. So you could go right to what you needed and if you chose a clearanced packaging you could do so or just go for the non-discounted or perhaps not damaged whatever. But I was told they didn't have any particular place yet, as I was walking out towards the register to pay, I found a very noticeably marked end cap containing only drastically clearanced items. Yay! But I feel like they should know this and have directed me there sooner. Other than that, I feel like I can never get out of the store less than a few hundred dollars... The service is pretty good consistently and that's a plus!

We were looking for a hamster, and they had plenty of choice! We were able to hold them and pick which one fit best with our family. The associate was kind and professional. Products are a good price and check out went smoothly. Also the adoption paperwork has gotten a lot easier now that it is digital. I'd gladly recommend this place.

Dean Rich is by far the best groomer on Earth. I will never take my pets anywhere else. He deserves all of your business and I'd die on that hill lol. He did such a good job with my mothers dog that I'd reccomend him to everyone with a pet that needs grooming.

Need to fix booking process! We were turned away from our grooming appointment for them not having time for her size (45 lbs) when her correct weight and breed were given while booking. All local groomers booked out 8 weeks

Super rude staff at the concord petco on concord avenue over the phone. Called on 5/8/23 at around 6PM asking if they had a product and what price they carried at and was told to wait one second and then left on hold for 5 minutes and then was hung up on. If I could give them 0 stars I would.

I took my pup for a grooming and he came out so clean and all his loose fur was gone, he is a German sheader. Kylie was his groomer and she was fantastic with him. She took the time to listen to what Andre liked and didn't like and followed thru. Definitely requesting her again.

The products were easy to find (I just adopted a kitten) and it has always been a good experience. The clerk ringing me out was warm and friendly. I need to get his name- he's been there a long time. He is always polite and pleasant- and it is obvious that he loves animals and enjoys his job. He is a young man with very dark hair- it is getting long. If you can figure out who he is please give him kudos. He makes shopping at this store a joy.
