Ghetto. Needed basics: ketchup, onion, mustard - non organic items in $8-$10 range. Longest lines, you have to scan your own items and come up with item codes on produce. Never coming back. Save your health, money and time- go to Trader Joe’s for organic & AFFORDABLE items.

Consistently the worst store I ever shopped at. Unfortunately it’s the only ‘fullsize’ supermarket in my neighborhood and I have to come grab things quick sometimes. Even that is hard though because they are constantly out of stock - I can never get everything on my list. I always have to go somewhere else anyways so I just make the drive to Safeway or Trader Joe’s which might cost a little more but at least they’ll have what I need and it’s fresh. I have bought different items here only to find it already spoiled when I open it up at home on many occasions. Ive even been here a few times when I guess they just turned the freezers/refrigerator’s off at night and the next day everything was ruined - every piece of ice cream is melted, all the cold products messed up. When that happened they didn’t throw anything out, they sold all that spoiled food, no wonder all the frozen stuff is messed up all the time and I’ve had mold growing in my yogurts when I buy them. Constantly the worst.I feel bad for anybody who works here because it seems like they’re always understaffed. The lines are usually really long too. There’s lots of small stores and Supermercado‘s around but unfortunately the store being the largest one near all this residential area probably means there not going to change. Monument corridor is underserved in a lot of ways. My dream is for this store to close and anything else to open, anything would be better... Even if it was more expensive.Avoid if possible.

Always long lines that barely move with only one cashier, and either half or all of the self checkouts are always turned off. Last night they were all shut down with a line like you’d see at the DMV. If you can’t or won’t keep the self check-outs running, stop being a cheapskate and hire more cashiers. I am done with this place.

Was shopping here as I usually do because of how convenient it's located to my house and never had a problem shopping here. It wasn't until recently when I was on a grocery run shopping through the produce isle as I usually do I saw a large rat scurry past me underneath some pallets. I couldn't believe my eyes and even after bringing this up to one of the cashiers all they seemed to do was just shrug it off as if it was normal. It pains me to have to travel a further distance just to get basic groceries but unfortunately because of this I will not be shopping at this foodmax location anymore.

I witnessed a drunk stealing items out of people's carts as they turned to pu bags away; of course cops show up and foodmax will not hand over footage for anyone.David, the manager on saturday's- was not even checking to see the passed out person on side of biz.

DO NOT SHOP HERE IF YOU ARE DISABLED THEY WILL DISCRIMINATE AND STEAL YOUR IDENTITY.My mom is disabled and the cashier tried to steal her identity by requiring her ID, there was no signs or paperwork where they could provide that shows it is company property or that it doesn't violate state law or ADA Mandates

The white cashier lady is very rude! This was my first time at this store and probably my last. The customer service is horrible.The lady who came to help me at the self check out didn’t put her id to take the thing off and left. The whole experience was bad.

It’s a grocery store if you need one. They’re kinda racist here. The woman rushed over to “help” me with the self check out. Turns out your incompetent coworkers put the wrong label. No wonder it won’t scan. SMH people are ridiculous and they expose their idiocy every day.

The store was fine. However I wish sometimes the ads for what's on sale had the details on what's specifically is part of the sale if it's not part of the sale display and on the shelf of the actual product. Overall this store serves its purpose. My only other complaint is the sale tags on the products don't say when the deal is over and makes it difficult to plan purchases. You could possibly pick up the item and get to the check out and it's not on sale. That's the worse.5/21/23 They have updated the store, so they all match/ standardize when you first walk in with the sale items. The rest of the store is still the same. I am bummed out they didn't have their sunny select diet cola. All I saw were Shasta brand soda. Found some spicy miso ramen packs at four packs for $1.00. They do expire soon, that's why the cheap price.

As someone with mold sensitivities, I avoid moldy, dirty places like the plague. This place set me off within ten seconds of walking in the door. Eew, I shudder just thinking about it. Clearly, the refrigeration units are FULL of dangerous, toxic mold. This is a testimate to horrible maintenance and mismanagement. It's not worth it to me. I will NEVER enter this building again.

I love grocery shopping here. Very friendly employees with amazing customer service. Also good prices on groceries. Easy to find what you're looking for. Great set up. Items are always stocked up neatly. Beginning of the month is the busiest time to shop here so go before noon. Other than that, Most DEFINITELY RECOMMEND grocery shopping here. 👍👍

Nothing special but a convenient place to stop after a Costco run. It always has decent produce and fresh herbs that you don't want to buy in massive bulk quantities. I also like to shop there when I'm looking for ingredients for authentic Mexican food as the selection is vast and well priced.

The women with the colored blue and purple hair is one of the rudest persons. evetime I have a cart full of food she is constantly scanning and mumbling under her breath about how much food I have. Or if I have less that 20 items she tells me in a rude way to go to the self check out instead, like what is her deal?!

not an awesome experience. long lines with minimal staff (seemingly on autopilot), self-check machines shut off or not functioning, and no sense of urgency on the part of the staff. yes, retail stinks, we know, but taking pride in your job or at least appearing to is important...and there was none of it, not even hello. this branch is convenient and serves the local community, but management needs to step it up in a major way. positive note: the a/c works.

Prices and staff are great. Good produce and meat depts. The rotisserie chicken is a good deal too. Their rotisserie chicken is on par with Safew@y and others. 25$meat pack! Yum.

A great place to but food for a low price that's not going to expire within a few days or that's not expired. Has just about everything you need. On Sundays they could use more cashier's, due to the long lines, but it her then that, it's a great place to shop for food etc.

This place is horrible we there with my parents was at the self checkout it won’t work so I asked her to help and she start up said to my face”I can’t help u until u move out my way hun”I’m vary angry she disrespectful gave my dad a look everything in there is expired went there with my mom once again this other lady with glasses was there and the self check out isn’t working asked her for help she ignored me she told my mom to move out her way VERYYYY VERY DISRESPECTFUL NEVER GOING BACK.

I rated it at 2 stars because from 9pm onwards there's usually a very long line at the cash register. If a customer on the line has a question the same sales associate leaves the register to attend to the question being asked leaving about 20 customers on the line waiting.

A bit disappointed...not that many choices and the area around the store very dirty. 3***The previous comment is a 2 yrs ago one.S8.30.21 0*My husband and I went shopping at FoodMaxx and at self check we got stuck, ask Melissa since she was talking to a fellow associate. She got an attitude saying: you just have to punch in the number...we responded we tried to follow the prompt, scanning and even typed the produce name but neither work reason we ask for help...see walked away mad. She need to be trained for good customer service.Been shopping at other FoodMaxx and all are great but this one! 😞

Never enough checkers and they close down the self-check too early. But it's fine for the type of store it is. Prices are generally pretty good, especially on produce and meat.

Warehouse style, not very attractive but they have good prices. Much better than other supermarkets such as Safeway which is a ripoff. And its open late too, so its convenient.

Basic warehouse type grocery store. Lots of items, not much in the bulk section, meat section is good, not great but good. Staff is doing there job, always packed and a madhouse at 5pm or crazy packed before holidays. Cheap, owned by Lucky but cheaper. Lots of the same items as lucky. Self bag your own groceries. No pharmacy.
