I called an order some food. I drove 20 minutes to pick it up. By the time I got back home and opened it it was the smallest burrito I had ever seen. I ordered a chicken burrito and it did not contain chicken whatsoever. I paid $16.50 and left the $3.50 tip. Although the lady at the counter was very sweet I hope to cook gets $0 of that tip money.

My husband and I have been to this restaurant many times. Today, for mothers day it was very disappointing. The service was bad, after being seated it was 20 minutes before they came to take our order. My husband had chili Colorado, there were literally 2 pieces of meat on the whole plate and the sauce tasted like canned sauce.Not one time did they come by and ask if we wanted drink refills. We won't be going back.

Will not return. The waitress did not come out to check on us to the point I had to go in and grab silverware and drink refills. Food was bad. Steak special was burnt black($19), my steak burrito meat was chopped to a dog food consistency, stale tasting and dish lacked simple seasoning($19). To top it off they over charged me and I had to go in and get my bill fixed before I could pay. All around BAD EXPERIENCE. I recommend the downtown Sonora or the Twain Harte location. Much better food.

On a trip back to my home town of tuolumne county we decided to eat some good mexican food in Columbia. We left our card here, living out of town now, they kindly mailed it back to us. We enjoyed the great food and atmosphere along with appreciated the time it took to send back the card. Thank you so much. We will definitely be eating here again!

Absolutely LOVED this little restaurant. The outdoor patio has many plants and trees and the service was wonderful. The young lady that took care of us went above and beyond what she had to. The food was super tasty and I wish it was closer to my home. I would go here at least once a week if it was closer.Parking: Parking was right across the street.Kid-friendliness: They had such good childrens options...even chicken straps and fries as an option!!

I ate here the day I got married and after my 3rd was born. Best of all their locations, never had a bad experience and servers today we're super amazing, they know how to hire. Can always count on it being good. The patio here is beautiful too.

My first time there the food was delicious. But when we got there, no one was there and there were 3 dirty tables and stuff under the tables like napkins while the staff was sitting at the tables just doing nothing. The wood tables need to be deeply cleaned and disinfected & kept up on. But the plate I got was really really good! So were the flour chips! My stars are for the food quality! I'll be going back but I may day something next.time

The service in here is very friendly but can be quite slow. We were sat waiting for someone to take our order for quite some time. That being said, when our waitress arrived she was really friendly and efficient.I ordered the steak burrito and chicken enchilada and both were pretty decent. My friend had veggie versions of this and she enjoyed her food as well.On the whole the prices were reasonable and the portions pretty generous too. They take card which is always a bonus.

We went out to Columbia since the downtown El Jardin has been closed on and off with no warning or any kind of notice anywhere on website nor even on the door. I assume it's short on employee's but who knows.The manager is great out in Columbia. Very cool guy. Our food is always consistently good. A little lacked on getting us refills and even silverware but they were busy and so I can account for that.We sat outside which is nice and also dog friendly. Our Chihuahua Baxter sat there in his best behavior checking everyone and everything out and was just happy to be out with us.All and all it was a good evening and we will be back. Thank you.

El Jardin is always a local favorite of mine. They're usually fast, well priced, and the food is delicious. Not sure if they still do it, but they have a lunch special burrito that's cheap, good and filling if you want something quick and to go. Otherwise, the seating is nice and the staff has always been very attentive and friendly.Definitely a must if you're looking for good Mexican food while exploring historic Columbia!

Very nice place! They have high chairs and booster seats for kids. I got the Reyes taco with carnitas which was very good. I tasted the chicken soup which was good. The margarita was a little watery but did the job. Very very good chips and salsa. The chips are fresh and crispy. Service was good.

Excellent service. Order your food how you want it, like excluding certain ingredients or adding something else. Great food with some decent variety and a bit of a kids menu. Pet friendly outdoor eating. Very good restaurant. I will certainly return more than a couple times.

Had a Shrimp Cocktail that was in the bottom of my list of favorite Shrimp Cocktails I've had in all my travels. The service was good and staff was friendly. Will visit again and try something else next time.

Stopped by to pickup an order for someone else and saw Lobster Enchiladas as a special of the day. WOW!! They didn’t skimp on the lobster, the flavor was perfect, and I get full to just the perfect amount. The order came with beans/rice, and fresh made daily chips and salsa. Thanks El Jardin for the wonderful meal!

First we ordered a cocktail and only had the stuff for two drinks. Then we ordered our meal and some friends we know showed up.they also ordered a cocktail and didn’t have the stuff to make it. Then It took them 30 minutes to get the lady to take there order. There food came as we where waiting 45 minutes for ours. Come to find out they have not made it. So another 10 minutes to get our food. Never had a bad experience here but I will not be in anytime soon.

The food was delicious! I had the chicken quesadilla with rice and beans. My husband had a chicken enchilada and a beef tostada. Our kids loved their Shirley Temples. Our waitress Avery was friendly and provided great service. The whole restaurant had a nice homey vibe. Nothing fancy but great food and nice people.

I give restaurants three chances, today was strike three. I've waited an unreasonable amount of time to be waited on every time I've been here. After 15 minutes the last time I walked out.Today the wait was longer than acceptable, I ordered carne asada fries. The meat was dry, stale and tough. We were given a credit on the check.I do not understand how a chef can consciously serve food they know is substandard.
