I really love this place, and it's an amazing place, but every time we go, the hot tub is never heating right, and the website says heated pool, but it's been cold but I would still go back over and over.

Bruce and Sherry are amazing. Everybody at 49er RV park is very helpful and nice and knowledgeable. Thank you so much for everything I highly recommend the 49er rv park.Nearby activities: down the street is the historic town of Columbia candy, shops, restaurants, antique shops lots of fun for friends and family. Also I Italian bar road can be driven all the way to Mwau Village. It’s a dirt road lots of ATV fun right up the street. On site, gold panning, ping-pong, and tetherball.

Great little campground. Very small so not much to do within the ranch. This RV park is mainly set up for full time guests. We felt the website was a little deceiving in what things there were to do. We had 2 small kids that just wanted to ride bikes and play outside but there is only a small roundabout in front of the trailer parking to do this, or your campsite. We loved the quiet but even just playing a game of frisbee with our 5 year old after dinner seemed to disrupt the neighbors who went to bed at 4pm. We would stay here again but only for the ease of location to everything and if we didn't have kids. There is a more kid friendly RV park just down the road.

Awesome campground in a beautiful setting. The hosts were friendly and the other campers were great as well. One of the hosts walked us over to our site as we drove in. The drive on Route 4 to get here was amazingly scenic and well worth the trip. The campground is located in a small historic town with lots of things to see and do....lots of historic gold mining info, etc. Full hook-ups and nice amenities available as well as a small store, etc. You can even pan for gold if you like! We stayed here in a 33' Class A motorhome.

Hi Fellow RV'rs.This was our first trip to the park, I didn't do my home work before I went there. The web site is a little bite over glorified for what it is. The staff was wonderful and very helpful and John was GREAT. BUT. Pictures and Inf. of what is there dose not quite make since. Not a lot of room for parking and trying to put your rig in is a little challenging but there willing to help. And the list goes on, very very old school environment and worn down. Please read other peoples reviews before going there, make sure that's what your looking for. Also the road noise is terrible, but that's not there fault. Also a lot of very hard working early morning people going to work stay there. No water at the water wheel. Complained three times. Over all it was OK. Thanks Tony and Linda and puppy.

Pro - friendly, helpful staff. Con - small park but staff is very helpful with getting you parked. Biggest con - there is no place to walk around for exercise. The road just outside the entrance leads to the state park but it's not a very safe/walkable road. Not really a pro or con, but there are a lot of people who work and it's noisy when they leave since everyone is so close to each other. That can be a pro if you're anxious to get sight seeing in the morning. The park has some cute decor around that could really use refreshing. The location worked for why we were there and the staff was friendly.

Stayed 3 nights in October 2021. Can’t say enough good things about the staff and facilities. We had an RV battery issue the first day - the maintenance staff were there immediately with a commercial battery charger to try to bring back the batteries. We ended up having to replace them but the staff bent over backwards to help us. Facilities were clean and well maintained. Staff were friendly and well informed about the area. I had read reviews complaining about noise but my experience was that this was one of the quietest parks we have stayed in. I’d stay again without hesitation.

It's a nice small quaint park. Probably not a lot of spaces for super large rigs because it's not a huge park. But it was a nice park, people there were super friendly and hookups worked. Area was clean and it's in a cute part of Columbia just up the road from old town. I will definitely be going back.

We came up during a winter storm. You would think we were stuck in our RV, not the case. Played ping pong in the covered Barn, enjoyed the free, yep free hot dog night. The staff was incredible and so friendly. Stopped at the coffee hut for some free (donation) coffee. It was delicious. Side note, the fall working was grinding up fresh beans! First class all the way. The hospitality gal helped us plan a day if indoor sites to see. Can't wait to come back when the weather is better but even if it's not wellwbe back for sure! Pet friendly, full hookups.Highly recommend.

Very friendly place, very little road noise, some large sports and some medium spots. Definitely not edge to edge like some campgrounds. Good size store. Wifi was very good. Didn't try the cable TV, but they had that. They have family friendly smore nights on weekends. You can almost walk to Columbia state park. I've been to a lot of campgrounds and this one is top level for sure.

I love it here. The owner, Bill and staff are excellent. This is a fun, quiet and super well maintained place to stay. They have some cool stuff for the kids to do and only minutes from the Stanislaus river where you can pan for gold. Bathrooms, showers grounds and internet connection all get 5 stars..

Just got back from going camping with my family and we had a great time at this campground. Very clean campsites with nice tables. Very clean showers, bathrooms, and laundry room. Also the cute little country store was well stock and very reasonably priced. We have already booked our next visit and look forward to regularly staying here in the future.

The customer service and staff are incredible. We were traveling from Yosemite heading to San fransico, when our vehicle caught fire. I called and spoke with Sheri who immediately told me they could make room for us. I shortly called her back as we could not find a tow truck to tow our 40' fifth wheel. She told me that she thought she could help me out and quickly found a guest who agreed to drive the 20 miles to pick us up and tow in our 5th wheel. They also have a hospitality house that is staffed to help you make the most of your stay. In a day and age when some places are lacking in customer service, you will not find that here. If you want to be treated like family this is the place to be. I can not thank 49er RV park and all the people who helped turn a bad situation into a positive experience. THANK YOU!!!!! IThis place isn't what the website suggests. It's pretty rundown. It's not quaint " gold rush" worn, it's just run down. My husband daughter and myself stayed for 8 days. There was no water parkwide on first day. Three of the days there was no hot water at the showers. The wifi signal was very poor. However, the worst were the ANTS!! They were everywhere. Ants in the laundry room, bathrooms, showers and worst of all in OUR RV! As far as the people working there. Well let's just say the jury is still deliberating on that ruling. Was rushed to check out when I wanted to pay for another night. They told me it was already reserved. ( the owner told me the day before it was available for 4 more day). I understand that someone could have beat me to the punch, so we checked out. I drove by 9 hours later and the spots were still empty...hmmmm. We didn't break any rules, we weren't loud, and we didn't complain about anything. Did we miss something? Confused and dissapointed,. we REALLY DONT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.

We had a wonderful experience here. We took our new trailer out for the first time. Staff helped us back in as i don't think we could have done it without help! A few hours after we arrived, our fridge stopped working. Staff, as well as other campers, tried to help us get it working in the dark. Staff even brought us a bag of ice for our food! We will be back!

Very friendly and welcoming staff, comfortable size sites with all the hook up's u need. See John and Susan ( awesome married couple of 45 years ) who are the staff/residents on one of the site, will let u know where to eat, what to do for sight seeing and share a bunch of stories amd history of the RV resort.

If you stay here, spend some time with the owner 'Bill' He's a fountain of local knowledge. The spaces are expansive with plenty of room for all. The only thing I found negative was the single shower for a rv section. Bill; its time to build a new showers, commodes, laundry facility right behind where you visit your guests each morning. Will gladly pay for the upgrade.

This place was a nightmare! The power wouldn't stay on. The staff seemed really nice at first but became extremely pushy they insisted on parking my trailer for me and they ran it into a tree then told me it was fine! There are mean viscous dogs owned by staff members who live in the rv park. The staff does not care about your privacy and like to gossip! The staff harrassed my guests on more then one occasion and then proceeded to tell them things about me that was not true. There is no pool the washers do not work well your clothes come out smelling funny and covered in dog hair.

We've always enjoyed staying here even if it's a little pricey but at least you get a full hookup for $49 per night and showers are free. The staff is friendly and all seem to enjoy working there. There's a store and propane on site. They don't have a restaurant but they do have hotdogs and chili on Friday nights. One time they even had lariat lassoing lessons. They also have free, fresh-ground coffee from 7:00 AM to 20:00 AM. It's an easy walk just down the road to Columbia State Historic Park. We got our last reservation for July 3rd & 4th just two days in advance even though they were almost full; mostly because we have a 22' RV which fit one of the remaining two sites. It wasn't the best site because it was right by the entrance, sure and propane station but, beggars can't be choosers. On the other hand, it was right by the store and showers.

It’s been two years sense we’ve had our Rv here do to traveling and work. And we missed it a lot. Bob keeps things nice and neat (going to miss him) and the office staff keep the lines moving and the store stocked. Internet is faster then home and cable is crystal clear. If your in the area and want a great place to camp 49ners is the only place to be. It’s a walk with the Deers to ghost town Columbia and 30 minutes for Pinecrest. Sonora has everything you need. 👍👍👋👋👋 thanks Sheri and bruise 😁😁July 2020 we are back!! And not leaving! Got a site for our weekend visits and it’s perfect. Staff are always here to help and peace and quiet get away. 🙏🏼👍

My wife and I stayed for a week in our 5th wheel over Easter break. I wish we could have stayed a month. We have been to some great places, but never have we experienced such a feeling of "family". We arrived late. Bob helped us get settled in the rain. Later he assisted us in getting our Direct TV set up properly. Good man--Bob. That night we were welcomed by James in the barn where he had prepared delicious hot dogs and chili. Later he climbed on my roof and repaired a broken vent that leaked in the rain. Then he entertained us with his guitar playing. Great fun--James. Every morning we went down to the Hospitality Room where we were always cheerfully greeted by Danielle. She sets the tone for the whole campground making everyone feel at home. Great woman--Danielle. Thank you all at 49er RV Ranch!

Absolutely beautiful and comfortable place to stay with you and your friends and family or even by yourself. The staff is so courteous and kind, the scenery is gorgeous too. There's a shower facility for both men and women, there's washing machines and dryers available as well. You can camp in a tent or rv, you can stay for a day or two or even a week or weekend. Infact, you can even set up for permanently living here. I just can't say just one thing about this wonderful place, there's just so many positive things to say, see and do here. If I could rate it 1 billion , trillion stars, I would. LOL. Such a great place go, no matter what age you are.

We stayed there 3 nights during the Sonora Celtic fair and it was great! We only planned activities for one day, and that was going to the faire; the other days were wing-it since we were in Columbia. Some of the Perks you get here: super friendly staff (who even help guide you as you back into your space, my wife hates doing it!), Historic camp which doesn't feel cramped in the corral (we thought it was going to be), tether ball, ping-pong, community fire on Friday and the hospitality house, close Main Street Columbia! Can't say anything bad here... They help you over the phone and you can reserve online... The questions they ask about your trailer help them find just the perfect spot! Thanks 49er Ranch! Will be back!

Seems fine at first... until they move you. Again, and again, and again, and again... do these people know how hard it is to set up and level an RV? Why put someone in a place someone else has reserved in 3 days? Have you ever had to move before? These people are ridiculous

Loved this small RV Park. Went early May. Weather was great. It's close to a historical park, James Town, Sonora, A Casino, and lakes. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
