We stopped at this small grocery store in Colfax because we were in desperate need of a public restroom and it had been snowing and it was one of the few essential businesses that was open that had a plowed parking lot. There was quite a line for the public restroom, however, once you entered inside it was very clean, modern, and very nice. The prices are actually very reasonable and all the produce was fresh and presented in a very appealing way. It was a very nice local supermarket that has just about everything you need. It's actually much larger on the inside than I thought. The prices of some of the groceries were cheaper than my local grocery store down in Sacramento!

I would have gave this market a five-star rating but some other produce is product of Mexico I am 100% in support of our country not anyone else's regardless whether you can grow jalapenos in the winter time you can always do it indoors America 1st !!!!!!!!!

I shop at valmar market weekly spending approximately 300 to $400 I have a large family and lived in Colfax for 52 years I'm letting you know valmar that this five-star game will drop to a one if you continue to sell Tyson food products and will take my money elsewhere thank you!!!!!!!!!

A great market to shop at ! Mind you I live in the Mojave desert near Bakersfield ! Stop in when you can ! I do . This place reminds me of the mom and pop stores in the 1960s I remember as a kid .

Had to stop in Colfax for work, found this little hidden gem. They have FRESH SANDWICHES in the deli along with sushi and so much other food that’s freshly made. I got me a custom made sandwich toasted and it was super good. I didn’t browse the other parts of the store but the deli is definitely worth stopping by.

I feel Ike they are taking advantage of their location. Prices are too high. They have spent a lot of money upgrading the store, but who need a walk in beer cooler. Now they are charging prices to pay for the upgrades.

They're a bit pricey, but that is to be expected with a small town market. The deli is fantastic though. They have many hot and cold food options and their sandwiches are great. All of their ingredients are fresh. My favorite is the roast beef with smoked cheddar cheese sandwich, made fresh from the deli.

There's a bunch of variety here and sometimes some really great deals! My only complaint is that the prices are too high overall. But the customer service is nice! My kids get free balloons sometimes and that just makes their day!

I really liked shopping here I was heading home to Kansas City and just popped in looking for tourist junk. I ended up doing a bit of shopping as the staff was friendly and the store felt welcoming. This looked like a store off of a movie it was really nice. Super clean, Well taken care of, and amazing produce.

I grab lunch and breakfast here every day I head up the hill for work. The staff is friendly and professional. The deli is good quality and they even have coffee for a $1. Breakfast burritos, sandwiches, and yummy snack packs they make from yesterdays chicken (I presume).The grocery portion of the store seems fine, but I haven't done much shopping there. Overall the building could use a refresh, but other then that great place for grab and go food!

This market is a true community resource, providing food and other household consumables to the residents of Colfax and nearby towns. It's very existence means locals need not travel to Auburn (or go to gas station minimarts) to shop for essentials. There is certainly less variety than Raley's, Safeway, or other Auburn stores, and the prices tend to be higher, but - with Sierra Market here - we locals save a lot on gas or electricity (yes, there are plenty of people in this area driving electric cars).

Huge meat sale this weekend. They were prepared, had free coffee, and plenty of meat to go around. Specials tomorrow, and Monday also. Been there before, great grocery store, all the brands, really, really friendly employees, and very efficient. Parking very easy, and close. Will definitely go back. Worth driving to Colfax. Old small town type grocery/butcher shop.

Great small-town market. Friendly staff and a good selection of items. Their produce is top-notch. The deli serves great food, and they have a great meat department. The store features name brands and locally produced items. They have a good selection of beer, wine, & liquor, and a large number of camping supplies. Prices are usually good, with some specials.

It's super convenient and the staff is well trained and it has a nice, "local," feel to the place. It has everything you would expect a grocery store 2 have. You ask, "Why only three stars?" Well, its because they are pretty much the only game in town. We do have a Dolla General but they don't have much of a selection. Back 2 my point tho and I will end with this. If you're making cookies and you realize you don't have any butter, then it's a life saver. As for regular shopping, it's super overpriced.Olly Olly Ox N FreeGod Bless

I love this market. I’ve been shopping here since I moved from the east bay a few years back. They are friendly and helpful and the deli makes great sandwiches. I tried the eclairs for a Valentine treat and was very pleased. The custard was perfectly rich and creamy.
