I never write reviews unless justified. The short grey haired lady that worked this Friday afternoon 12/9 was soooooo unbelievably rude! I stop in often for things and thought “maybe just a bad day”. Today pushed me over. Please talk to your employee about showing a little bit of respect. Being nasty (I wasn’t the customer) to costumers and employees because your establishment chose to remodel to one counter is ridiculous. She speaks to the other employees as if they’re beneath her and anyone around and myself that can hear it feels sorry for whoever she’s criticizing at the time. No one deserves to be spoken to like their dog crap🤷🏻‍♀️ Additionally the homeless/tweekers that are clogging up the store is aggravating. Do better.

The store is well stocked, like it always is. It seems pretty clean and orderly. My only negative was we left without buying anything because the line at the check out was literally more than 15 people and they only had one checker. There is nothing I need to buy worth standing on that line.

Affordable with a wide variety of merchandise l was impressed with all that they have to offer needed some fuel treatment for my Subaru and a couple of cute outfits for my beautiful queen. which she loved. Great little store.

Heck ya place is full of good deals from frozen food to coffee pots! We needed a store like this for a LONG time. Thank you dollar gen...U ROCK and the employees are so very pleasant, helpful and on top of thier game !!

The shelves are a bit crowded and hectic seeming but they are friendly and fairly quick to check you out. As far as the store goes, it's about the same as all other Dollar Generals. No produce but just about everything else you could need. Basically a small grocery store but they also have some clothing. Nothing super expensive or a great quality but good for basic food needs.

This relatively small store stocks an amazing variety of products from food, to clothes, to cards, to seasonal decorations, they seem to have a little bit of everything. As a dollar general, very little actually only costs a dollar, but there are some items for a dollar and under. Many of the products are a bit cheap looking quality wise, but I suspect you get what you pay for. The staff were friendly and helpful.

I enjoy shopping at this store. The best part is that I live only 2 minutes away from them, and they're open until 10 p.m. Their brand usually costs about 50% less than the other brands. The only thing I don't like is when they advertise something as "2 for $5," but you have to buy 2 to get the deal--otherwise, it's regular price (unlike other stores that will allow you to buy just one for $2.50).

The Colfax Store is always stocked, no carts of stuffs waiting to be stocked in the aisles. The shelves are neatly stocked. Everything is easy to find. I'm sorry to say..., but it's more pleasant to shop than the Grass Valley Store.

For the rural area I live in this store is a MUST! With a lack of large chain stores nearby, Dollar General has the best prices and overall selection around. Now, they don't have room for all the brands, and no fresh produce or meats, but you can always get what you need. They even have their own brand of products that are mostly of good quality, which I can't say about big chain stores. The only complaints would be that it can get a little crowded at checkout during normal "traffic" times, and I always help keep things separated when ringing up...to avoid double charges.Whether it's a couple snacks or a cart full, this is the rural go-to store.

If you use their coupon app . You can save alit of money .. I consistently get Bic, Schick and Gellett Brand razors for $1 to $3;a package;)! I really need to stop getting the free toothpaste lol Colgate and Crest you can almost always ( with digital coupons) but fir less than a $1

Maybe I misunderstood the premise. I thought the Dollar General was a lower priced chain. Most items in this store were a bit pricey. Kind of like walking into a Safeway with the safety? Not a bad store. The staff lady was friendly.

A wonderful addition to Colfax. They have a wide variety of food (including, eggs, dairy, processed meats, frozen foods--but no fresh produce), basic housewares and paper goods, seasonal items, and health and beauty items. Great prices. Employees are helpful and knowledgeable.

Cheapest place to get Staples in Colfax great for toiletries and automotive stuff. I like the new little health food section. I wish they had more organic products, and they can be a bit disorganized at times, but other than that, great store with friendly employees.

Love that they have a little bit of just about everything you could need. Reminds me of a mini Walmart. My only complaint is both times I've been in the the cashiers are extremely slow making it difficult to make it a quick trip in & out.

They have just a little of everything here, that you just can't always get in Colfax! Could just save you a wad of cash, too! Just convenience and low cost will keep me shopping at Dollar General. AND they're all OVER the country! Awesome sauce!

The customer service representatives are freaking awesome! Sometimes it gets busy. Keep in mind that sometimes they have one person running the register. They are always personable and friendly. Kudos to all of you that work there!

I love this store & what it offers to the community however tonight they wouldn't stand by their 2 day sale. I even have a photo of the display with the tag hanging on the item & still no. I will continue to shop here but I will never go out of my way again.

I do not recommend shopping here as this location is NOT motorcycle friendly in the slightest. I was just told to hand over my backpack which I use every day, I was told that the store has "alot of theft" as to the reasoning. Why would I hand over my pack which has items that belong to me to a stranger. Please DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS!

First of all I have to say this is probably the nicest Dollar General I have ever been in. The store was neat and organized. Unfortunately, the customer service was terrible. The entire time I was in the building, I felt like they were expecting to steal something. I went in for sunglasses and something to drink and ended up leaving because of how rude the associate was.

The store on Colfax and Galena...good product line and prices on things. but I won't shop their unless I have to or I have no other bags with me. They require you to leave your bags up front. Thats insulting to me, I dont steal.. Also someone could take my bag because the staff gets busy and does not have their eyes on it every minute.... especially when they are outside smoking. I can easily just go to other nearby stores like Wal Mart one block away and dollar tree where I am not presumed a potential shoplifter. I dont care what they say that it's store policy. The theft that happens in the store should not affect me or my being able to keep my personal belongings on me while shopping. Again, I do not care if it's store polucy, it is a very unpleasant experience to walk into to a store and be Hollard at to leave your belongings. Feels like airport security or what I imagine visiting a jail or prison would be like.

Security got me for carrying a retained recycleable through the store, after having nothing to buy. The isles are tightly packed considering the level of vigilance. Variety and circulation.

Great place for this town. Finally a place you can buy an outfit, shoes, socks, bra, nailpolish, makeup , a new picture for your house, shower curtain, rug, paper towels, a new pan or pot, milk, cereal and some wine.. and affordable....... I love this place

Great place to pickup stuff like pet food, simple groceries and household tools. Staff isn't always very sharp but it was obvious they were training new hires, so no complaints.
