Came in Sunday early afternoon to grab a quick bite to eat in the deli , while it was busy , the young girl working got everyone one through quickly with a great upbeat attitude and a smile. Our food order was difficult and it was delivered to us perfect and it was delicious. The store was clean and grabbing a few drinks ion the way out the cashiers were super friendly. What a great place hillside is a for sure stop for us in the future

I would give them zero stars if I could. The manager here is horrible. The store is always filthy. The workers look miserable under his management. Expired food and not enough workers ever. Probably because they can’t stand to work under the horrible management. The whole store is just dingy. Rather go into Fresno than here.

Ill glady pay a little extra to ditch the crowds. They have most eveyrthing you need. The staff is laid back and the vibe is chill. Come check it out the deli is pretty good too.

Definitely not somewhere I feel safe getting groceries anymore. I filled out a job app and was quickly turned down for lack of work experience. Then the Gen Manager thought he was slick trying to keep my application with my social security number on it and laughed at me when I asked to take it with me. Workers are infinitely more respectable than the managment.

The market itself is fine. Clean and staff is friendly. At times there could be more Checkers to assist customers but it’s a small town supermarket so I can understand having low staffing. However, the deli section is atrocious. I visit this supermarket frequently and have completely stopped ordering from the deli counter when I see particular individuals working. On one particular visit, I approached the deli counter to see an employee talking to a customer. He didnt acknowledge me after some time so I walked closer. He made eye contact then looked down ignoring me and talking with the customer. I waited for him to acknowledge me and say I’ll be right with you but he didn’t. I waited there for a couple more minutes until another employee came up to ask if I’d been helped. She took my order and gave it to the employee who was still talking to that customer. I continued shopping and finished up and went to the counter to pay. I payed for my groceries and the deli food preemptively as I know they take a long time in the deli. After putting my groceries in my car I walked back into the supermarket into the deli area. A different employee greeted me and asked how they can help me. I told him I had put some sandwiches in and he asked the original deli employee about them and he said he didn’t know about any sandwiches. This was after shopping, paying, and returning. A complete waste waste of 30 minutes due to the incompetence of one employee. Had to get back in line and get the sandwiches refunded while my groceries heated up in the car making my salad mix useless. Only shop here. Use the deli services at your own discretion.

The sign on the deli says half price after 330 why do I need to ask what is half off pretty lousy treatment to the local shopper

Great local market deserving our support. For all the negative commenters on here: There is a price for convenience and adequate staffing. If you want to pinch your pennies go to the Fresno chain stores and be treated like a nuisance by the meager underpaid staff and the unfriendliest customers we have encountered so far. And by the way the gas to go there isn’t free either. We love this store and gladly pay their prices which aren’t bad when you compare apples to apples, especially if you do not want to buy in bulk.

This is just your average community grocery store, it is extremly overpriced and the store as well as their selection is kinda small. Honestly I recommend going 5 miles up the road to the Dollar general or even spending the extra gas to go to Fresno. With that being said the bathrooms are clean and the staff is friendly but not worth the prices.

I do like the store. Has thing we need but I have found that there is a few meat expired as we as cheese. Some bag salad are brown. I thing the some of employees are friendly.

Employees don’t care. Went in for some stuff for dinner and found an abundance of out of date and visibly spoiled product. Told the manager and they said “Things happen.” Cheese on the shelves growing mold, tortillas growing mold, dairy products aren’t rotated properly, soft frozen food products, and out of date tortilla chips. To top it all off, when I went to check out there was a lady training a new hire. She had the trainee ask for my birthdate to purchase beer but never looked or asked for my ID. The checker then failed to give me my change and argued when I called her out on it.I am never shopping here again. This place is ran by idiots.

Very convenient, super nice employees, spacious store, spread out. Has produce, all the basics, lots of freezers, wine, breads, bakery, lots of things! It's just a large metal building, and not always the best prices, but plenty of sales and really good area.

The products they sell are absolutely disgusting, mold on most fruits and veggies plus fruit flies all over their produce. Bought some tofu yesterday without checking the expiration date and it expired almost a month ago. Eat anything from here and you might just end up with food poisoning.

Great community grocery store for YLP, very convenient, we love shopping there, employees very friendly. So, why am I giving a one star review. It's because of poor management of their employees. We are in the middle of a pandemic and the State and Madera County require grocery store employees and customers to wear face masks/face coverings. Our family has observed repeatedly employees in Hillside Market not wearing masks while they work, especially in the deli/meat section. Signs at both entrances clearly state face coverings/mask are required.Very, very poor management of employees resulting in poor compliance with State & County regulations requiring the wearing of face coverings/masks by all who are in grocery stores in order to prevent community spread of COVID-19.

Good store but prices on something are pretty bs especially with the inflation going on what you can get here you can get double or triple for the price other places and I really don’t want to go all the way to Oakhurst so I usually with buy it but it’s still bs on some items

Good in a pinch, otherwise worth it to go to town. Can be a bit pricey, but milk is actually comparable to town. Hot food made to order is good. Never a long wait in line.

The staff is friendly and it is great not to have to run to town every time I forget to pickup something at the grocery store. Some items can be pricey but that is the trade off for the convenience and saving on fuel.

If you don't spend at least 25 bucks they will charge you three bucks to get cash back from your debit card. Charge what you want just let me know before hand or at least include it on the reciept otherwise it looks real shady.my reciept says nothing about the extra charge it even says what my cash back should be which of course is three bucks more than what the cashier counted back to me. Any money taken from the costomer should be listed somewhere on the reciept just ask the I.R.S.

Sure glad they are here in Yosemite Lakes Park, most of them we know on a first name basis, buy a lot o stuff there, beats going to Fresno, and the prices are not bad at all. Lifesaver if you live in the Park.

Outstanding selection of fresh fruits vegetables. Very reasonable prices for a relatively small supermarket. Give them a try! You will be pleased.

Make sure you stop for your main grocery run at a major chain. These guys will probably have what you need, but they are going to rake you over the coals, pricewise. Convenience costs.

Lazy managers here that won't enforce gloves, masks or barriers for their employees keeping them and their customers safe. Overpriced as well.

Nice local community store, limited on items you might find in a big box store, but very useful. Doesn't appear to be over priced like a convenience store can be.

If you want a drink, go to the fridge section. If you want a sandwich, go to the deli. If you are craveing a burger, go to the grill. If you feel like a milkshake, grab a milkshake. If you want an apple, go get an apple damnit. This market has everything you will ever need, as long as what you need is food.
