I have brought my service dog here three times and loved there services. (Wash, teeth brush and small trim). They groomed my service dog so well and treated her very nicely. She always comes back smelling and looking fresh. They were very patient with her when she was scared. They respected my wishes of keeping her separated from other dogs. I wish I didn’t move out of the area, they are so good and fast.

So I took my two small babies to Beauty and The Beast in Coarsegold for the first time for a bath and a summer cut. I left them at 9am and picked them up at 2:00pm. They were so dehydrated! Poor babies kept drinking water for several hours after their appointment. When I picked them up at 2pm the owner had nothing but negative remarks stating that my dogs “were hard to handle” I explained to her that they were groomed for several years from Down Town groomers in North Fork. I have always been told that they are perfect when getting groomed! I am extremely disappointed!! Do not take your fur babies to this abusive groomer!! She over charges and is traumatizing! For those of you that state how great she is well shame on you! My poor shitzu pup was butchered!

Took my Aussie to Jamie and Rob , her first grooming. Boy what a difference ! My beautiful Little Aussie cane out stunning! I didn't even know she had such luxurious gorgeous fur. Lol. Star has some knots in her fur, I just couldn't get out myself. So I took her off to Beauty and the Beast. I was very nervous to drop my 8 month old fur baby off. Went wonderful ! I 'll be back !

Please don’t take your dog here. I respect small business owners and always want them to succeed; however, when I’m belittled for inquiring about prices, care, etc, I need to take my dog elsewhere. Owner: please have better costumer service and don’t continue to make your patrons feel unwelcome.

They do a good job grooming but don't go unless you can afford a monthly service. We have taken our boy twice for a nice grooming. Called to schedule our third grooming but was turned away because we didn't come monthly. I personally cannot afford 80.00 a month so was trying for every 3 months. He is well kept in between (bathed twice a month and brushed out twice a week. ) so not like we are bringing a complete mess. It's unfortunate they can't have a walk in day once or twice a month.

I went there when they first opened it because my dog had a mixture of long and curly hair, a mut, she didn’t like that I requested that the very top that usually sticks up on the back because short and leave the rest long. She called me up in the middle of the Grooming saying to pick up my dog because she looked a mess. We sat there and debated in person for about a half an hour. I paid her and she took my money! I was ill and didn’t feel like arguing about it. I told her to at least clip her nails and she did, while I waited. She said that she had a reputation to uphold and didn’t want anyone to know that she had groomed my dog the way I wanted. She said that usually with some dogs like this you either cut them very short or leave them very long.

I have used them for years for my dog grooming needs. I have 2 mutts, 1 med, one small and they do a great job. Just as important to me, they treat the animals well.

They so caring my husband is very sick and when I called to get his dog groomed they always take her no matter how busy they are even offered to pick her up for me you won’t find better people in these mountains thank you so much

This happened 3 years ago but when I saw all these "nice" reviews I had to write this. I was excited that there was a groomer so close to my house when we moved here. After several trips in, my small dogs didn't want to go in there. I figured that they just didn't want to get wet etc. The last time I took them there was a disaster. Don't know if the owner was having a bad day or what but as i walked in she was pulling on the neck of my small poodle Maltese. She was hurting her. she stopped when she realized I was standing there. I didn't say anything I just paid and left. When I got both dogs home I found a chunk of skin missing on the nose of the small dog and a huge piece of missing flesh on the wee bit bigger poodle Biejon's tail. It was so big it is now a big scar. Some of the surrounding store customers said they used to hear dogs crying over there. I never went back.

I took my 2 dogs in today as they were in need of a good grooming and I was WOWED once we picked them up! My 11 year old toy poodle has never looked so good! My new little terrier was in need too but I wasn’t sure what to do for him but the job they did was outstanding! I am totally impressed and will use them again and again! They did such a super great job on them! Definitely a 5 star job! Thank You!

The woman was so unpleasant when we arrived, especially to a new client, that I had second thoughts about leaving my precious companion. I should have trusted my gut. Upon pick-up, the woman's attitude was no better and she even made a less than kind remark about my dog. Two days later my dog had raging ear infections in both ears necessitating multiple trips to the vet and a bunch of medicine. Is the groomer to blame? Who knows, but I'm never going there again and will not encourage anyone I know to go there.

I have been having my Bassett girls groomed here for a couple of years. Unlike a lot of the mountain businesses Beauty and there Beast is always prompt and accommodating.I would not go to any other groomers

Traumatized my baby. He was only 3 months old when we started taking him there. As he got older, he got more and more scared to go into the place. Don't know what they did to him, but we will never go back to the place that made him scared to take a bath.
