What a lovely place for dogs! This place is renewing my faith in pet adoption places. After a bad experience at Animal Samaritans in N. Palm Springs I stopped in here & was greeted by Janet who was very concerned about what happened (a botched kitten adoption) but very welcoming... but it was all dogs, smiling, happy dogs out lounging on a lush lawn, just waiting for a happy family to take them home.. However I was looking for a kitty. Not only did Janet take the time to educate me on 'who was who' as far as the best cat adoption places in the area, places who WOULD not mislead me (*as Animal Sanctuary had done) but honest to goodness pet shelters who would treat me with respect & integrity & truly act on behalf of the animals. Even though she ran the dog place in Coachella, Janet insisted on following up with me about my progress in finding a kitty. She even called me & left a follow up message, & after a bad experience....Janet was a breath of fresh air!

My first experience was the adoption of PETEY. We saw him on the local TV station and I told my wife ,HE'S TOO BIG!! An hour later when our TV STAR returned to the Pet center we saw he was PERFECT!!! Pete it turned out is a BRAZILIAN RAT TERRIER 🐀!! He's given my wife and in-laws so much love and happiness, just being himself!!! He's very protective, loyal, affectionate, and everything else a companion dog could be. Sadly my mother in law passed a year ago and we all felt her absence. Especially Petey everyone agrees that he made the last few years of her life so wonderful. Petey was and is the first inside dog my in-laws had and it's been amazing how well they got along. He's just what the Dr. ordered,, as the old saying goes. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE PET RESCUE CENTER!!! As a source of four legged therapy and medicine for everyone!!!

Sounded like a lovely place! No space for any cats though. Filled to capacity. Lady I spoke with was very informative with some things I needed clarified... very sweet lady.

Absolute Heaven on earth for dogs!! Christine is a wonderful woman with a beautiful heart. This place is immaculately kept and the dogs are SO happy and healthy. This is by far the most beautiful and clean rescue rescue I've ever seen. I highly recommend visiting and donating to this beautiful rescue sanctuary!!! 🤗💟❤🐕🐶🐩

Loving all animals is their name. A place where you can get or adopt a small dog. Tracy is such a warm, caring woman that makes you feel like you know how much she cares about taking in, or adopting out a dog. She worked with me on trying to find a place for a dog i have to give up. She understands my situation, and with her colleague, has given me hope in finding the best place for my roommates little dog. Thank you Tracy so much!!! I highly recommend going here for your needs regarding your dog!!!

We adopted our beautiful little tuxedo kitty who we named Olivia in 1999. She was found in an abusive situation and was always afraid of people. She welcomed every new kitty we brought home. She left us last week at the age of 21 and we will miss her immensely.

We CANNOT SAY ENOUGH WONDERFUL THINGS about CHRISTINE or her staff at the PET RESCUE CENTER OF COACHELLA VALLEY.This remarkable woman and her people have made it their mission in life - their calling ( because you don't do what this angel of mercy does day in and out because you are getting rich( ! ) - to take in, save, heal, comfort, love and foster finding JUST THE PERFECT MATCH for all her abandoned charges that come into her care, and all that that entails including telling people NO to adoption application when she feels it wouldn't be in the animal's best interest even if it means forgoing a placement just because it wouldn't be in the best interest of the animal ... and that's her #1 priority.We felt as if we had entered the home of Christine when we came to adopt our little Romeo. But because we were both of a crisis counselor background we could detect through her gentle easygoing mannerist put us at ease right away that we too were being interviewed as well. But we'd never have known it. She is a woman who loves her job but who bears the heart scars of one who has seen the horrific things humans do to these littlest creatures who have no voice but give love unconditionally and for whom she has dedicated her life's work to aide and shelter one little life at a time.Once you visit, you will be hooked and want to return and just stay!MAKE SURE THIS IS YOUR FIRST PLACE YOU BEGIN YOUR SEARCH FOR YOUR NEW BEST FRIEND.A RESCUE PET FROM THIS CENTRE IS THE BEST CHOICE YOU WILL EVER MAKE - in BOTH of your lives!

Not what I expected. The dogs are all antsy and kennel aggressive or shy in the kennels. Doesn't seem like the best set up or environment.
