I just wanted to come back on here and mention the beyond outstanding job our new neighborhood Dollar general Manager is doing his name is Chris and he's doing a fabulous job from what I understand certain people are making complaints and stuff about him it's all being done in Malice in case anybody of importance reads this because you put him in the exact position that we needed him in perfect positioning and he's doing a phenomenal job thank you Chris you're always friendly you always stop and talk to people you always ask if everybody's okay you're constantly moving and constantly doing and I appreciate that as a customer

The Dollar General in CLO is so much cleaner & well organized than the one in Nice. The shelves are usually fully stocked & not a lot of clutter in the isles. The Nice DG is always cluttered with stuff needed to be stocked on the shelves. The DG in Nice has a problem with the homeless hanging out in front of the store & being aggressive towards customers.

It's a great little store in a small town so the crew at this store are wonderful . They can and do show respect and take time to know the store making them very helpful..they however could have more items and it lacks in variety and stock but it's a great place compared to most DG's

I really missed the opportunity of visiting local Dollar general stores when I first moved here until I found this spot. It's a little ways from my home but it's well worth the drive, when you think of the savings.

The staff is very friendly if your looking for something, they know right where it is. The store is staying in line with COVID-19 so bring your mask! Dollar General is very clean and well-stocked. Their prices aren't to bad either!

The dollar general in Clearlake Oaks always seem to have more of a selection than the other stores in Nice and Lucerne. Their shelves are more stocked all the time. It's hit or miss at the other to as well. Overall I like this on when I'm on this side of the lake best. The employees are also very friendly, but they are at all 3 stores to honest.

Shelves are rarely fully stocked here, so get your supplies when the truck drops off inventory. Staff is unhelpful at best; even when they sell you an empty lighter a mere hour previous to visit, they'll refuse an exchange due to lack of receipt while implying you are being a liar. Only recommend using their store in an emergency situation, would still look elsewhere if possible.

They're alot better then they used to be. Seems like when Katy the Manager is there, things get done right. The shelves are stocked, the lines aren't as big as they usually are. But when Katy isn't there things are always done wrong. Katy is an awesome manager. If I owned my own business, I would hire Katy as my manager because she is great at her job.

Great deals and great service. Just small isles cant get down them if a person is already down it. Even if your using any kind of crutch or scooter. Being disabled doesnt mean we dont like to shop. Make it presentable and wide enough to move around.

Store was clean. Staff friendly, However the lines were atrocious! 1 cashier to 12 waiting customers and counting. If DG would staff the store adequately I would've given them 5 stars. Unfortunately DG puts saving a whopping $2,000-$5,000 in payroll every month, while the store makes $10k per day in sales... Well it's just not good morale! (((Dollar General))) Put customers first and corporate greed second. Life would just be better for all of us!

There can be super long wait times if your unlucky enough to have the one extra slow employee! But whatever I guess.Most of the other employees are nice and friendly. This Dollar General is sort of close to my house and some products they carry are cheaper than other stores in the area, that is why I shop there. It is average as far as the Brand is concerned.

It will do in a pinch. Sometimes i like to just walk in and see whats new. Im thinking they could do some better upkeep or give the place a small make over. I feel like its kind of an older store maybe, and they havent redone it yet so it gives off the impression of being grungy i guess is the best i can come up with and in turn that makes it look dirtyTHIS IS MY PERSONAL OPINIONThey often have really cute stuff and for the different events and holidays and the price you cant go wrong.

Well I enjoy that store . I spend a lot of time &money there in clearlake Oaks CAThe employees are nice and it's warm in winter ,then cool in summer. It's convenient because I live across the hwy from there . The only real beef I have for them is #1. I spend way too much money there. #2. The quality of some merchandise ;for example I purchased some warm soft cozy ( kitty's) socks and put them on when I got home ,Ten minutes later my big toe was hanging out. I had a big hole the size of a quarter. Other than that it"s ok.

This store has a very strong fragrance coming through their air circulation system. I had a bad allergic reaction after being there for only a few min. And left quickly without making a purchase.

Love this place. It is overall easy on the budget with great prices, lots of variety and the feel of convienence store meets department store. The staff is great. Gotta watch prices when checking out, sale prices don't always register. Perfect option for a small town.

Dollar General is a national chain store. They have a little bit of everything... even a small selection of frozen food!I buy snacks, goodies, bottled water and small gifts for my daughter and grand kids there. I shop there weekly!

A little cramped inside and the layout is a little hard to navigate, especially with what's beenn going on. They have some aisle ways blocked off for some reason. But their prices are good and they're following Covid19 regulations.

This Dollar General is seriously just way too lit for lifeI found a pencil case with Llamas with matching slippers big enough to fit on my adult foot in it as well as sticky notes that or in the shape of Woodland creatures and not to mention plenty of gloves and scarves and beanies to choose from for the winter coming months

I love the prices. With our lack of shopping options this is ledd than 4 miles from my home and they have anything jus t about u wood need. The have cute clothes and crafts plus a amazing as seen on tv section with all the products cheaper than even walmart. Which is awsome alone

I just bought an Xbox live card and not even thinking, I didn’t take the receipt when offered. (The code for the card is on the receipt) and i walked home. When i got home i read the card and saw that i needed the receipt. After a mental breakdown i called the store and the clerk who checked me out (Chandler) answered and i told him my situation and he looked THROUGH THE TRASH to find my receipt and then called me back to say he found it and i walked back and got it from him. Great customer service. Some stores wouldnt do all of that.

For being advertised as a DOLLAR GENERAL there's not much that's a dollar there. I found it kind of expensive actually. They have lots and lots of beautiful things to the ceiling.Everything not produce, can be found there. Really nice household decor for all occasions.

First first of all you should know that everything is not a dollar it's just inexpensive. it's a great place if you need to get something really quick and don't have time to run to Lakeport or Clearlake. I usually get household products like cleaning supplies, toilet paper, paper towels, dishwashing soap, clothing soap, paper plates. They do have make up there and it's inexpensive so sometimes if I'm looking for something that I need on the fly I'll grab eyeliner or you know I shadow. They don't have a very good selection of organic food they do carry food. They carry a lot of different items they have inexpensive gifts, birthday party supplies, medicines they have pictures rugs household items they have a lot of stuff so if you're looking for something that's cost-effective stop there and something that's not really expensive stop there otherwise go to a higher-quality store but they are convenient.

Every time I've gone to the Dollar General in Clearlake Oaks has been great for people who work their everything I need I have found and a very timely manner and everybody seems to be very polite and it's a big store for a Dollar General I really like it

This place is horrendous. Yes, it's hard to pass up such bargains but they are Faustian bargains. White bread, sugary drinks, corn chips,potato chips, candy and an abundance of processed foods most of which contain high amounts of corn sweeteners ,chemicals, and cheap carbohydrates.So, yeah it's cheap: ie it don't take a lot from your wallet compared to other retail food outlets. But the real cost, the payment comes later in the form of obesity, hear disease, diabetes, and a score of other degenerative diseases that have clear cause and effect relationship with the consumption of cheap ,refined, highly processed carbohydrates.There are some good sources of quality protein to be had here but one has to search.As for whole grain: good luck. I found one source of whole grain : brown rice. Some of the breakfast cereals have whole grain but that also contain ,once again high amounts of corn sweeteners.Increasingly the evidence points to sugar in all it's forms: corn sweeteners, refined wheat and grain products as the cause of obesity, heart disease, diabetes and a host of other ailments.This store provides more than food of course and if one shops selectively it can be a good resource for people who are on tight budget.Another aspect that is often overlooked when we shop discount is plastic. When we buy a product, whether it be food, personal care items, paper goods or whatever we also but the packaging.And here again we see a huge amount of plastic. The damage to the environment we create by the over of plastic is hard to fully measure, but it is real and it comes at a cost.It's a shame to see such a beautiful place as lake county with it's agricultural heritage and so many honest hard-working people be so dependent upon these stores for so much.Ultimately it's up to the customer though. I've seen forward progress lately as more and more people put effort into growing their own food and eating fresh, whole food that is grown locally. Here in lies our power: growing food or eating food that our neighbors grow promotes strong community ties, keeps knowledge and money at home and sends a message to those who choose to tap into our buying power and our local culture that they too have to consider carefully what they sell us.

Dollar General is a one stop shop and is fairly priced. Food,snacks, household supplies, clothing, hats etc. They have an app that offers major savings with coupons that dont need to be printed, scan right from your device.

It's an good place ro shop local, however usually not stocked complete and everything is unorganized. Some employees are very polite then you have some that are rude as hell.
