I recently had a minor issue with our personal "Safeway For U" rewards program and needed help from the Assistant Store Director named Tasha. She was extremely professional, very patient, and an absolute joy to work with. Tasha made a phone call and within a few minutes she had my issue resolved. Even though I had just met her for the first time, she made our interaction an easy and satisfying experience and I personally felt like I had known her for years! I would not be surprised if this young lady ascends rapidly through the ranks of the Safeway "family" and reaches the top of her profession. She most certainly has my vote! Lastly, my review would not be complete if I failed to mention another absolutely outstanding Safeway employee named Eda. I have had numerous interactions with Eda over the past year and she has always treated me kindly, with respect, and the usual professionalism that I have always gotten at this particular Safeway location. Both Tasha and Eda are an asset to their company and I applaud the Safeway corporation for hiring, training, and mentoring such incredible employees. Give this store a visit and you will not be disappointed.

The store was clean and had a great selection. We got everything on our list. Great customer service as well. They have a lot of choices for cold and flu supplies as well as other medicine.

Don’t come in for breakfast anything before 7:15am, that’s when the managers get in and they won’t have anything prepared even though it’s a grocery store until that time every other Safeway I’ve ever been in they have everything prepped and ready for you by the time they open or at least 5:30AM because I get in very early (@ every location besides this 1) because I’m up @ 4am when I came in at 6:30 the lady told me we won’t be ready for at least 30 to 45 minutes. I got Tasha the person that was supposedly in charge and she said yeah I’ll get her to make you the burrito. It’ll be a few minutes… as the lady behind the counter, started slamming all of the prep stuff behind the counter angrily because I asked for the food and now she had to make it she continue to drag her feet and talk back-and-forth with Tasha three different occasions throughout the 30 minutes that I sat there as you can see from my timestamp it is now 703 and I’m in the parking lot without a burrito. Don’t ever come here for breakfast food.

We did an online order this weekend. We were double charged over 400 dollars and caused to overdraft. I called the help line to have this discussed. The third party answering service called it a temp hold and would be re-imbursed after 3-5 days and that I needed to educate myself on how temp holds work. After being put on hold for 15 minutes when I asked for a supervisor I decided to hang up. Called my bank to put a stop on the charge and the bank confirmed this is not on us or them this is on safeway. I know posting a review won't do much but I feel I still should give a warning to others on the third party policies and poor service when they decide not to accept accountability. Hopefully safeway reimburses for the additional charges they caused.

I walked my cart outside to exchange it since the wheel was wobbly. It locked the wheels and triggered the theft alarm. Lovely! I suddenly don’t need anything from this store anymore.😀

I enjoy shopping at safeway and like the selection my main complaint is the deli section. They act like it is such a bother to help the customer's. Especially when asking for a breakfast burrito to be made. On the off chance they have the pre-made ones out I will grab one to save time but when there aren't always ones that I want and it's not very often they have them out. I've witnessed another client get upset with them too while I was waiting in line. The girl who was the worst no longer works there I believe it was sapphire or something like that she was so rude and it was always " did you check to see if there are any pre made ones out" one customer replied no because I want to add things to mine I don't want a pre made one. They will sigh and it's the tone of voice I know they are busy in the morning but don't offer breakfast burritos if it's an inconvenience to make them. The other morning when I went there was a lady behind the counter already making sandwiches and as I walked up she said the sandwhich bar is closed...no signs saying that and no sorry we are currently closed just seemed rude and only because she was busy making other stuff. Finally wanted to leave a review because to me that was ridiculous..

Went to buy rotisserie chicken for dinner. Time was not listed on chicken and they said they cooked at noon. Next time would be 5pm.Not going to risk. Last one was rotten when I opened bag so do not buy

Citrus Heights Safeway at Greenback/San Juan.I shop at this store about four times a week. Everyone is really nice, helpful, and super friendly. I've learned I can save a lot of money at Safeway if I use the app and shop smart.I decided to try the turkey Thanksgiving dinner for two this year, 2023. BIG MISTAKE. I was so looking forward to picking it up and eating it on Thanksgiving Day only. To be super disappointed!The turkey was very over done, dry as cardboard, but tough as leather. The gravy was extremely salty and honestly I had two little bites of my dinner and the rest of it went straight into the garbage. Super disappointed.Safeway... do better!My dog wouldn't even eat the turkey, and she eats everything!On a positive note, the girl that helped me place my order the day before and that helped me pick up my meal at the deli was amazing! She was very friendly, fast, and very thorough. When I placed my order for my dinner, I had groceries in my arms which the girl at the deli gladly rang up for me...including some vegetables that had to be weighed. She made sure I had my receipt and made sure that my reservation order was marked as paid. When I picked up the food, she walked with me to the refrigerator where the sides were and explained all my choices. She was a pleasure. All the employees at the store are great. Brian, Monica, Nick, etc.

I normally don’t leave negative reviews. However, this is the second horrible experience I have at the deli the customer service at the deli needs to improve. They should probably work on hiring employees that actually want to work and serve their customers. Both times I have been at this location, people there are rude and disrespectful. I will never be shopping at this location again

I was doing an Instacart order here and for some reason the licorice was not where the app kept telling me it was. I asked a worker if he could point me in the direction where an alternate place for licorice to be and after much thought and a walk a few aisles away, he went on a scavenger hunt looking for this last item! Together we found that it was relocated and placed closer to the register. I appreciate the man that assisted and wish him nothing but happiness and positive vibes only.

Wanted to load a Netspend card, but the cashier didn't know how to. This was after I waited for her to finish renting out a carpet cleaner that took 15 minutes. The manager was standing right next to her and told me she will not load my card because she doesn't know how to. They didn't even try to help me. You would think they would of called someone that knows how to load the card but no, just "we don't know how". Wasted 15 minutes of my time in line for nothing.. Like they didn't want my money. I used to spend a lot of money there on groceries and money orders and loading my cards but never again. Boooo!

This Safeway has an odd layout with how tight the front end is. The cast and crew are always helpful when I'm in the store. The folks in the pharmacy are pleasant and pretty quick. The bakery and deli are pretty average, but not bad at all. The meat department had not been as helpful as I'd like when I've needed assistance.

Amazing store with great deals. They are bit expensive but as member you get amazing discounts and deals. A lot of good choices of food, products, and pharmacy.Very clean, kind workers and very helpful.I'd recommend this place for anyone who wants to shop for grocery or even flowers. They have great selection of flowers, I'd give this place 10/10, I'd recommend it for others

5 stars for Kirsten. This Sunday morning 12/11/22 I came in to do grocery shopping and was not in the best of moods but Kirsten made my whole day. She is the sweetest soul I have encountered since shopping at this Safeway for the past 3 years. She is so sweet, friendly and makes great conversation. So kind, careful and makes sure she gets the job done right. She doesn’t make you feel like just another transaction, she made it an experience. Thank you so much Kirsten!!! Also the man who helped bag my groceries, I didn’t catch a name but I was there 12/11/22 checked out at 8:48 AM, thank you for being kind and courteous.

If I walk up to the deli for sliced meat why do they refuse to slice fresh turkey and redirect me 3 day old meat. If that's what I wanted I'd buy hilshire farms. Honestly this is the third time it's happened and I'm sick of spending my money here!

I liked there food at the deli, which I got my first time trying it and going there..it has delicious fried food to choose from at the deli and snacks at the store I like, and healthy salads and stuff..I don't go here often but I don't mind it at all.

What can you say about grocery shopping?it was "ok." Used to be my go to spot since it was less costly than Raleys. But since the remodel it is right up there. Have to say - for the same price Raleys seems to have better quality. Bought individual salads on sale and the lettuce was bad 2 or 3 days before the 'use by' date. Very sad. Didn't keep the receipt so was tough out of luck ☹️

I go to this Safeway weekly but since they remodeled it's not the same. I enjoyed going when Michelle was there, the other people are just not that friendly! She always greeted us and helped us when we needed something. They're now forcing you to get the app or you don't get the sale price.

I love the Pharmacy and staff at the Lincoln Safeway. I pickup a prescription for my Mom here. The staff has always been very professional and courteous to me. I have seen these poor people deal with some of the rudest people in Lincoln. People need to step back, take breath and realize that your nasty, hateful and threatening words/tone will never get your problem/issue resolved. Respect! Give it and get it! We've forgotten that "Golden rule"!The rest of the Safeway staff have been helpful and courteous also. The store is clean and easy to navigate. But I have to be honest and tell you I don't grocery shop at any Safeway very often. Have a great day and remember to say please and thank you. If you give it, you will receive it 😊 Simple acts of kindness makes a difference for everyone.
