I don't mind paying more when it comes with value. As such, I won't focus that just about everything I bought here for my soon-to-arrive puppy ... almost $400 of "puppy stuff" .... was anywhere from 30% to 50% more than Amazon or the Navy Exchange. I spent at least at least 2 hours looking for food, snacks, sleeping, hygiene items .... most of my advice coming from my phone. Though there were definitely employees around, none made themselves available to ask if I had any questions. And I did look but it seems they've developed the skills to "look busy" or "minimize eye contact" when customers look up and around.Even at check out, when the young cashier asked me "did you find everything ok?" .... and I said, not really, her next course of action was to keep going a conversation (I don't think related to me) with the neighboring cashier rather than try to figure out what I didn't find. I needed more info on dog food for puppies as well as the best type of kennel cage accessories ... good answers might have resulted in additional sales. Oh well. i tried to become a Petco customer.I normally would have just kept what I bought but in the case of the doggy kennel, I paid $116 even though their own website showed it as reduced to $89 that very day .... so in price comparing elsewhere, I found it much cheaper. As I really don't think Petco provided me with any value at all, I decided to return most of what I bought and just go for the cheapest online or at the Exchange. If they're too busy to help me when I actually needed help, then I'm to cheap to pay them what they think they're worth.I will point out I had opened up an account and was going through their website to see what future services I may employ but if doing little but charging a premium is the expectation, then no thanks.

My fur babies were really muddy from going on a hike. I called Petco grooming and they took my 3 fur babies the morning after my call!! So happy!! My babies smelled so good and were fluffy clean!

Petco gives back to the community and local animal shelter so I will always support them, but my shopping experience was perfect. I recently has surgery and cannot lift heavy things, so I found the exact cat littler i wanted scent free low tracking. ordered online, was notified it was ready, drove, parked, called, within 5 min it was loaded into the back of my car.thank youLoyal customer for life

Brought my dog in for a wash, anal gland expression, and de-shedding. All I got was a wash. They said she wouldn’t let her do the anal expression, and when I got home, I could pull out a handful of hair. I called and they said come back for the de-shedding, which still wasn’t up to par. Last time I’m forking over $100 for that.

I’ve had an Account with Petco since 2010. Today I dropped my dog off to get her groomed at the store. I have listed below. I did not receive a call after three hours so I called at that point it was 6 o’clock PM. I was told that they called me. This is not the case I did not receive a call. This is an ongoing problem since there are several random phone numbers linked to my account. I went into the store to pick my dog up and I spoke with the manager who was very nice, but could not resolve my problem .She told me to call customer service. I should not have to do any leg work for Petco‘s mistake. I explained this to the manager who still could not help me. I understand that Petco managers are trained to work inside a box and not critically think. Petco has lost my business permanently all because the are company that hides behind emails and can’t even trust their managers do their job. I shouldn’t have to call or email customer service to resolve a simple problem like this. I don’t want to talk to anybody in another country I don’t wanna have to do work to resolve a problem that is Petco‘s problem not mine I did not have these extra phone numbers on my account when I opened the account normally this wouldn’t have been an issue, but how could they get a hold of me to pick up my dog if they don’t have the right number!!! I’m so tired of these big corporations all the money goes to the top and they all hide behind emails customer service that lives in another country I will know longer use Petco products and live in San Diego. I won’t even go to Petco Park.Please understand I had no issues with any of the employees. They were all very nice to me including the manager this was no reflection on them.My issue was with Petco corporation. I’m sure this won’t fall in anybody’s ears because all Petco cares about is making as much money as they can. I’ve asked this problem to be resolved in person several times.

Good customer service. I was able to select a premium dog kibble thanks to some help. I asked questions and the employee was knowledgeable, sharing information on kibble brands.The store was organized and people were courteous.

I want to give a shout-out to Hector. He was so helpful and looked genuinely attentive to my questions regarding our new puppy. I liked how he didn’t take advantage of my obvious lack of substantial knowledge about toys and other stuff for the new puppy. He even gave me tips on how to be reasonable when buying items. Their prices are highly comparable to other vendors like Amazon. This will definitely be my go-to for all pet supplies.

I have been here as a customer and as an Instacart shopper and have had nothing but pleasant experiences asking employees for help finding items in stock or making recommendations for my dogs. They also have a 100% satisfaction guarantee return policy, and it’s been really easy to return food that my dogs didn’t like.

as a windows shopper, they have bunny, red eyes bunny, few guinea pig, some lizard (snake included). no big fish, only small fish. the grooming side look quite professional. and they rest room look neat. not really clean but at least neat.

I went to the store looking for help for our two Angel fish who were in distress with a fungus infection. The manager she helped me tested my aquarium water and gave me some of her own fishes water to help my sick Angel fish with good bacteria. She was very knowledgeable and went above and beyond to help me. Thank you. I am very grateful.

Out of all the Petco’s in the South Bay, I find this one to be the most helpful and has the best costumer service. I felt seen by Joshua, he was very friendly and willing to help me find a solution to my dog food situation (transitioning food). He was very knowledgeable in the products and the execution of returns, while also training his associate. Yay Joshua!!! You saved the day for me. Thank you!

Worst experience at a vet ever!! I took my dog because he had an ear infection and they tried to sell 5 other things that had nothing to do with our visit. When I told them that I just want to get my dog’s ear fixed, Edgar the tech told me that he is just telling what the vet said and that if I don’t like it, I can pay 70 for the visit and leave. I asked to speak to the manager but the rude message was the same. I have been using all of their services for the last year because of their proximity to my house, but never again! If I could give my experience today a negative review I would! It doesn’t feel like a vet that cares about the pet, it felt like a used car dealership experience.

I made it to Petco 5 minutes before closing since my Terrier cut her thumb pretty badly. Within a matter of 4 minutes, Hector was able to help me find a crate at a good deal, the right medical grade antiseptic and some Bite proof gauze. I was in-and-out in in 4 to 5 minutes. I recommend this place because their employees seem knowledgeable, Caring and courteous.

The dog food was moved around a bit but I was able to find my dog's food. There continues to be a great selection of dog food and accessories available to me. I like my neighborhood Petco.

I have been loyal customer for 2 years and today the girl infront refuse to take my dogs after I arrived late for my dogs' appointment. Zero customer service. I am truly surprise that they hired this girl. I found another place immediately and at a better price. And got an appointment for both for tomorrow. They just lost a customer.

For the vetco, I had an appointment scheduled for two weeks in advance for dental cleaning. Day of 20 minutes before the appointment, the call to tell me they "dont do dental cleanings." Now, normally, I let this stuff go, but I was on a time crunch to get this done before, and now I dont have that time.

Loved it for some reason they had A LOT more things than other petcos in every section. They had a bigger selection of dog food and even for our crested gecko we found a hanging hide there finally. They were also nice about online price matching several items it was like no biggie and i didn't get an attitude because it was going to take longer. I was pleasantly surprised!!!*They also had a coupon for a free bag of dog food when you purchased $30 of things.

I love going to this place. Staff is super friendly, especially Krista, the dog trainer and Dino, the manager. We go here every weekend to have our dog training, grooming, and shopping needs. Their Pals Rewards is a great deal with purchasing all your pet needs. Thank you Petco staff!

The place is a mess. Some aisles poorly stocked with items all over the place .... some of them without labels... hard to tell sizes or price. Poor signs around the store makes it difficult to find what you are looking for, on top of that.... expensive. The bright spot however, are the people working there .... they are professional and helpful.

They claim to have walk in services, and they are usually pretty good about it but the last time i went, they wanted me to wait 30 min for a simple nail trim that wouldve taken minimal time so i was turned away.
