I normally don't do store reviews but it's from the food section. Got em sushi from em around 4pm. Boy, these are legit as it get. Still taste like they just made it. Overfilled with dried fried onions. Taste just like at a Japanese restaurant. Nice small ginger and wasabi side. So yummy. Price is base on portions. Definitely going back for more sushi. Not much selection but in our small town, this is as good as it get.

Well organized store! Very clean and great selection of groceries. Good customer service. Good sales and price reduction offered. Conveniently located off off the highway and plenty of parking spaces available. Located in a good location where fast food restaurants are available for a quick bite.

So even though this is a small town Save Mart, I notice they have some great drinks and food items that the other stores, even newly remodeled ones, don't carry. The customer service is so-so depending on the employee, but it's to be expected when you're not a regular or usual local.

We are long time customers of Chowchilla Save mart. We always try to shop local but I’m so disappointed in their customer service. My daughter who goes to school and works part time receives WIC for her daughter. She went into the store to use it and was over by $13. She left her card in her car, she was driving mine at the time. She told him she didn’t have enough to cover it as she forgot her card. The cashier Kao announced to the whole line sorry she doesn’t have enough and I have to redo everything. He was extremely rude to her and humiliated her! She came to drop off my car in tears. Instead of showing compassion, grace or patience he belittled her making her feel bad for using WIC something many use in these expensive times. I could have Apple Payed her but she was so overwhelmed with how she was treated she just wanted to leave and held herself together until she got to the car. Customers shouldn’t be discriminated against for needing help. Kao should learn some kindness and basic decency!!!

Ridicules who freezes a 3leaches cake dry cake frozen cluster banana frozen would not recommend cakes way to sweet wip so much suger u can even eat it I got a half a sheet that went to wast the name was post to say Mariano and it said Malano ridicules disappointed

I’ve had to take meat back three times because it has went bad the vegetables only last for a day if you buy them fresh we live in a small town with one big store which is Savemart I could not believe the prices today they are so high it is well worth it to spend the money on gas to go out of town to buy food that is going to last you and not go bad on you right away bought some shrimp today just picked it up and put it in my basket got home and realize that it was frozen from my experience they are refreezing the meat and then they put it out five for 25 but it’s old meat it’s very sad that this small town can’t get good quality food at the grocery store I’ve talked to so many people and they’re going through the same thing more people are starting to go out of town then spend their money in town to get a better quality and just know you’re not gonna get sick from the food you buy there

Ok, I get that sometimes when you're getting over a cold or whatever you have to go back to work when you're still coughing a bit. But if you're working around food don't be spitting loogies into the trash bin, and DEFINITELY don't be licking your finger to handle papers. GROSS!

The store is always clean. Their fruit and vegetable selections are always fresh and delicious. Great customer service at the bakery, deli area, and at checkout. They also have a great selection of various types of meats.

A "manager" told me it was illegal to buy alcohol with my passport, and in the future I need to present a California ID. The only reason I was able to complete my purchase was because he was a "manager" and could override this for me.

Very clean. Supermarket. But the staff. Was unhelpful. And kinda busy fore a 7:30 on a wensday night. Seems like they wear understaffed the line was long made me think i was in Walmart but a great place to shop. I liked it

Horrible store! Rotten seafood, black hamburger sitting on the shelf, and the worse customer service ever. All this at top prices. Yikes, how do they not get shut down? Don't bother with corporate, they will send you to the store manager, who could careless! Drive to Madera Pak n Save it will be worth the gas! UPDATE: nothing has changed! Overpriced store, rotten food and horrible customer service from the employees. Even though this is the only grocery store in town it should be shut down.

A spacious, organized and almost unrealistically clean and tidy supermarket. The aisles a wide and the prices are very good. I interacted with two of the staff who were very very friendly -- one of whom went totally out of their way to help. We simply stopped by to pick up some for-the-road items and were pleasantly surprised. Bravo!

It was very clean and organized..the products where well faced and thier distancing was good. Store was not crowded and the staff was very friendly. The prices where a little high but I don't think that they have much control over that. They offer electric car charging and motorized electric carts which I found convienant their staff was hard at work in all departments thank you from me to save Mart employees for your customer service.

Favorite grocery store. Some products are usually more expensive than other stores however how clean and organized it is makes it a good place to shop. Also the customer care is excellent. I love that some of the cashier's know my family and me from always shopping here.

We don't have many options for grocery shopping in Chowchilla... We go to save mart for quality and value... I have to say, their deli family salads were delicious and made me want more... Until they advertised them .50 cents off... then, all of a sudden the toppings were slashed in half leaving an anorexic looking family salad where people are literally fighting over tomatoes! Very disappointed....

My place to shop employees are awesome the manager Roy is the friendliest always with a nice word to say. He runs a great store that is always stocked. The general merchandiser Timba will stop to help you find whatever you need with a great smile and friendly attitude. Produce and Bakery dept always keep there stuff fresh. Meat dept puts out great looking well priced meat. The pharmacy is one of my favorite things in the store they are knowledgeable and helpful I trust them more than the doctors who prescribe the medication. I recommend this place highly

The employees were so nice and helpful the store was beautiful and clean they even clean and disinfect each cart for each customer that came in check outbwas fast. However the prices are ridiculous way to high to exspensive for me to shop there on a regular basis there's no way its why i only give 3 stars tgere prices alone made me wsnt to give one star but they were nice a d only a couple of women employees were stuck up they use to be on Robertson's and i guess they still are making customer pay for there new Savemart near the snooty side of town sorry but a lot of folks who live in green hills are snobs they look down on other people like me they act like there so much better. They have away about them that can for a moment make a person feel bad because there not driving a exspensive car have designer hand bag or what ever the reason they snub you i work,i pay taxes, but my car is old my purse is from wal-mart my shoe dont get me started. With that said i think Savemart caters to those kind of people its why they relocated over by Green Hills when they used to be right next to the senior citizens apartment and where it was really easy access for the most people in Chowchilla to go to now their way over there overpriced thank goodness Dollar General did open up over here but their meat is not good it's by the front door it doesn't stay cold enough that's the problem with Dollar General they dont got good meat to buy. And usually their store is a mess but the people are super nice helpful and I like them you may have to wait in line as well but they do try and getting better

They are pricey and I recommend checking the date on items. I have mistakenly purchased expired items several times, but if you have your receipt they will refund your money.

Seems like they don't check their vegetables even when you pointed it out to the produce guy...Avocados were rotten and all he said "oh yes they are soft" I bought chicken, put it in my fridge when I took it out the next day and opened it, it smelled bad and was slimmy i had to throw it away. That has happened twice in the past year...I just wish they would pick up their quality of merchandise...Especially since they are so expensive...

Place is well stocked, clean, well organized and counts with hispanic and asian aile off authentic products!!!!!! The meat department is my favorite. Fresh meat all the time !!!!The only reason i do not give 5 star..... their employees most off them are rude and dont care for the costumer. I used to shop there for my groceries weekly but now i HATE going here just to go pick up milk !!!
