This is a nice, clean store with a wide selection of products at pretty good prices. The staff here is very friendly and helpful. If you are looking for something specific and don't find it, DON'T LEAVE! Ask one of the staff if they have any, they are always glad to check stock for you. That said, their stock is always changing and they know it, thats the nature of a bargain store. One thing that really surprised me was the quality of their fresh fruits and vegetables as well as the fresh meat products.

Prices are usually pretty good & low here. There are always coupons available either online or on your receipts from your last visit. The selection is definitely good for common things. If you require specialty items you should head to a regular grocery store. The staff at this location are always great!

Workers have always been friendly, produce prices seem to be the best in town. Store always has been well stocked. If the lines get busy and long, they call in back-up cashiers quickly so it doesn't take long at check out.

This is my first time shopping at aDG Market and I really enjoyed it.The store is busy, but the clerks were efficient and quick. The store is clean and the aisles were not cluttered. Everything was in it's place. A nice change from the DG that i use to shop at in another state.

I like DG for their prices and the staff at this location is always friendly. Unfortunately, this store is very dirty and they are always lacking hand baskets and push carts, always. The few they do have are dirty and feel the need to fully sanitize all exposed skin when I leave there. There are always flies and fruit flies swarming around the produce, which is sometimes withering away to fruit fly food anyway.I don't get a good vibe from the employees about the management and have overheard that some employees only get 4 hours a week. Walking in one day, the manager said I should grab that cart from the parking lot if I needed one. What???I love/hate relationship with this store and I try to avoid going there if I can find it cheaper in the next town over.

They are convenient since we only have 1 other actual grocery store. I've been going here for awhile and like that I could go real quick to buy what I really need. Cheaper too! Friendly staff😄

It has one riding cart ! They have meat and produce! Liquor, beer and wine. Clothing and shoes. Pet food and decor for all occasion! I like the particular $General.. They are always out of corn flakes.. But never milk!

I needed to look at pet supplies, a clerk directed me there. What really impressed me was, I asked a clerk if there was a bathroom I could use. He led me to the bathroom found the key and open the door for me. He was very polite and helpful.

There is always someone camped out in front of or near the store smoking, sometimes drunk, or asking for money. The store is not as organized as it used to be. No issues with the staff. They are always professional and friendly.

A purchase was made and 2 bags were charged and used, the customer walked out with only one of the bags.Upon getting home the customer realized her mistake and that items were missing. After returning to the store and informing them of the mistake and them going thru the video, she was told that only one bag was used, although the cashier stated she remembered and the Gentleman behind in line pick-uped the bag with his bags.. The video was again watched and the customer was told that only one bag was used, the customer produced the sales slip that showed that 2 bags was paid for and they rewarded the customer with 25 cents, so providing the store with about $ 11.00...GO FIGURE???

The place appearance is ghostly kind of run down definitely not modern lacking a standard that I am a customer to it simply appeared to be old and lacked today's modern standard of commerce. I arrived with Melissa who lives a bordering neighborhood.Though I am familiar with the store front. As my daughter once lived in DA hood.I been past that store front for almost a decade I never shopped there before.By today's standard the place seems to fail to meet today's standard of a modern icon of commerce this is a tale of an ancient story forgive me for Babylon .A tale that's been told of old, a historic tale is about to unfold before our very eyes.The two witnesses appear in your head as you read this review so you begin to see with your eyes.I am an author by fate and this is my story written in real time wether it gets publish we will see in tike. I’ve applied tons of times and every time they say they are not hiring and I walk in every day and there are new people there constantly and half of them can’t even smile. And they never have water in stock. They go months without stocking water.

I do not like Chowchilla location one register open they wait until the line is so long then open another..Also by checking ID for people that are obviously over drinking age or smoking cigarette age yet it holds up the line because you guys ask for ID and so let them push the pass by button and it's offensive because everybody starts to talks about how ridiculous it is because look you can see the person is well over fifty . Another issue is they can't take any bills $50 or $100 without a supervisor you all don't train the cashier I have been a cashier for many years and that's ridiculous that is part of the job it seems like you have to call a supervisor for.Im not a fan of the store at all .

It's great for a quick trip, however I avoid produce, meats and bread from there. The always seem to spoil and/or mildew before they can be eaten

Good prices and found most of what I needed. The staff were mindful of my children, which I appreciated. I did not like that they were restocking while customers were present.

Store is good if you've forgotten a couple items. Otherwise I wouldnt go here very busy, therefore the store is very appealing it's always dirty and there's always a line.

I like the location and the prices. There is one cashier who always has an attitude with the customers when I visit. A bigger selection of canned food and dried foods would be nice.

Chowchilla Dollar General is filthy. Tash throughout the parking lot, grocery baskets scatter all over the parking lot. Every time I go out there I have to hunt to the parking lot to find a grocery basket.Plan simple just looks nasty.

If there is something you need from this dollar general you better clear your schedule because there are always the longest lines! You can see many employees but usually only one checker
