First, everyone on the staff was very kind and attentive to my dog, from front desk administration to Dr. Smith. The office was clean and quiet. I was given a quote before anything was done and I was not pressured into any services. Any questions I had were answered and Dr. Smith kept me informed. I was with Forest Animal Hospital and didn’t discover they shut down until I needed an appointment.I have updated my review, I know as a corporation they don’t really have a say in the prices. It just is still up there for most that would assume this is more affordable pet care. I highly recommend getting a quote when you make your appointment.It was $43 just for the expression, and unfortunately they were unable to get one side. They were more expensive than when I’ve had emergencies and gone to VCA after hours.

Horrible if you love your pets don't ever take them to vetco. My dog was killed due to negligence malpractice and incompetence by the resident DVM . Victoria Smith. She denied my dog a $60 prescription for IV fluids which led him to have to suffer for 3 days before he finally died. He said she referred me to a clinic that charge well over $300 for the same service that I could have performed on my own at home but she has no compassion. She should have her license pulled.

Was a quick affiecient visit. My dog has heart problems and the vet continued my dogs medication as expected the visit was 56$ and they gave me 12 refills for the year so I don't have to go every month and get his prescription and pay for a visit. However they did mess up and ony gave me one pill instead of 30 days it was a Friday and was closed till Monday so that was frantic for me. But they resolved on Monday.

I wouldn't trust my pets with anyone else! I have a large Rottie, who isn't always the biggest fan of the vet, but have found this team handles him with such ease and makes him as comfortable as he can be at the vets. The team is always so kind and caring. The doctor is thorough and takes time to listen and address my concerns. The best Vet team in Chico!

We have been bringing our dogs here since they opened. Dr. Smith and her staff are very friendly, compassionate, and knowledgeable. They also explain and make sure we understand everything, and answer our questions. We are never pressured into services our dogs don't need. While good vet clinics like this one are busy, we can make appointments and get in on a timely basis.

I took my cat here 2 weeks ago for peeing outside of his litter box. They told me that this was a normal behavior for cats even though I told them he has never done that in the past 6 years I have owned him. They said they couldn’t feel any inflammation or crystals in his bladder so he didn’t need any tests run. I insisted that they need to run some diagnostic tests to make sure something else isn’t going on. They attempted to collect samples but they said my cat needed to come back a different day so that he could be sedated to collect the samples. I totally understand that my cat can sometimes be a jerk to strangers so this was fine. I tried to schedule another appointment but they said that they would call me to schedule a day they were available to sedate him since their hospital is only open on certain days. I never received a call. 2 weeks later my cat is howling in pain and unable to use the bathroom. I called the vca hospital and they said to rush him in. He had a urinary blockage and needed to have an emergency procedure to clear the crystals out of his bladder. After $5,000 of emergency care my cat is doing ok and can most likely come home soon. I am extremely disappointed with the negligence of the petco veterinary office for waving my cats symptoms off as nothing. When I initially took him in he most likely just had a uti and needed some antibiotics. I am so disappointed that an animal that needed help was left in pain for 2 weeks and I was told that he was fine. I definitely do not recommend taking your pet here and if you do please make sure they complete the needed tests to ensure your pet is happy and healthy.

Easy online scheduling, was able to get an appointment for the very next day. Wonderful staff and affordable prices. My dog loved it here and I am so happy to have found a new vet!

Poor service. I scheduled my appt. 5 days in advance for an urgent need. I arrived on time. Spent 45 mins waiting for tech. She asked me questions about my dog, left, and came back telling me that I would need to reschedule. I won't be returning.
