Everything about SnS Produce it amazing. The meat in the butchery is always fresh, the produce is as well. They have an extensive selection of natural remedies as well as breads and dairy products. The grill and deli also put out amazing food.They’re a Certified Chico Classic and I cannot recommend them enough.

Always love the BBQ sandwiches, the butcher shop has amazing quality for the prices, grab and go case is always stocked :). I also love and live off of the discount produce shelves. There’s a reason it’s voted best in Chico, family owned and operated better than going to a corporation like Trader Joe’s.

I've had the BBQ tri-tip sandwich from the grill and the Italian sandwich from the deli.Both were excellent, and I will be back for more.Like most grocery stores like this, the groceries are very expensive, and I pretty much stick to the deli or BBQ.They have a great salad bar and a great prepared/pre-cooked tri-tip in the deli section.Employees are friendly.

This has been my go to grocery store besides the farmer's market and I couldnt be happier!!! The employees are kind and helpful while being so knowledgeable of the store; able to point me to everything I ask for which is amazing!!!!! I love the baskets they have available and had to get my babe to grab me some! The food is delicious and my body feels much better since I've began coming here!! I havent tried all the cool things here but I am very excited to!!!At the meat counter there is so many yummy things; I love the wild rice and mushroom stuffed chicken breast most so far but their steak and chicken cordon bleu is amazing!!!

One of those cool finds. A great little butcher shop with a deli on one end, a typical health food store on the other, with produce on the middle.Deli sandwiches are really good. I had the Club and, as you can see, it is filled. We were also impressed with their fish counter. Fresh tuna , wild caught salmon, monkfish, etc. Their chicken looked great as well.All the employees we encountered were very nice and helpful.

We have been shopping here for 2 decades and we appreciate it for the most part. Naturally the prices have gone up in an already pricey store. The produce is inconsistent as to the quality and that is understandable these days. The employees in the vitamin /herb department are very helpful and knowledgeable. As a senior citizen I would suggest there is better check out service. There should be enough employees in this store to help w/ bagging purchases, particularly when customers bring their own bags. I have often times been in a long line and bag everything myself , which seems inefficient for such a store. Courtesy goes a long, long way at these prices! Lessons in "rotating the produce" for that dept. would be helpful too. Misting everything w/ water will not make the spoiled chard/kale etc be nutritious past it's point. Common sense seems to be absent on many levels at this store and it was not this obvious months ago.

It's way bigger inside than you think. The food there is fresh, they have a nice deli with a variety of sandwiches and a BBQ sandwich service that starts at 1100 am. They also have a decent variety of Californian wines and delicious beers, chocolates, cheese, over the counter organic meds, oils, beeswax candles, incense. It's a nice surprise to walk into. It's kind of a nice place to go shopping after work to get some quick and tasty grub... but it's expensive

Heard all about their barbecue tri-tip sandwich. After two years living in Chico finally went ahead and pulled the trigger and got one of their Poppa tri-tip sandwich. Not worth the money at all. First of all they give you over cooked try tip that they shred and looks something like sloppy Joe’s then they proceed to dressing and barbecue sauce and slap it on a dry piece of bread. When you give someone a hot sandwich typically it’s best to either toast or grill the bread so it doesn’t taste dry. If I wanted to have poor sloppy Joe’s for dinner, made by an eight-year-old child. I would do so. Stay away from their hot sandwiches. You’re better off spending your money elsewhere.

Over the last few months they mess up my order every time. I ask for no mustard and no pickles that's it. Every single time I get loads of mustard and they even cross it off on the menu when taking my order. Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else.

S&S is a great place to shop! Besides some fresh looking meat and seafood, they have delicious sandwiches in the butcher shop. You can even get Diestel turkey. Yum! The barbecue sandwiches are also fresh and flavourful with your own condiment section. I love the self serve coffee section. #CoffeeForLife There are so many creamer options but I just always go for the organic half n half. They also have a pretty good size bulk section where you can even bring your own containers to fill. Their herbal/supplement section is pretty extensive and there is always someone to ask questions about all the different tinctures etc. There’s a good sized produce section but you have to pay attention if the produce is organic or not, if you care (look for the little 9!).

S&S Produce is a Great Store! It's actually a fun store because they have so many natural handmade gift ideas! The produce is excellent, the made-to-order bbq yummy sandwiches are delicious, and the butcher block is so fresh! If you can't make it to the weekly local farmers market in town, you can always find the best organic veggies there as well.

The cashier overcharged me 16 times the actual cost of an item and when I told her she made a mistake, she just rolled her eyes, shrugged her shoulders and said “whoopsie”. She acted like being overcharged was a natural rite of passage for shopping at this store! She didn’t apologize for her mistake at all, dismissed my complaint and shushed me away to her manager. The bad attitude of the staff here is incredible and I will never shop here again! Please do yourself a favor and shop at Chico CoOp or Trader Joe’s. They have much better staff, vibe and selection of products. Plus, you don’t have to worry about being ripped off!

S&S is one of the best places in town to grab a sandwich. The butcher shop made my son an epic turkey & bacon sandwich. I grabbed the hot pastrami and pepper Jack. Side of potato salad and healthy drink options are very good. Five star across-the-board.

Food is delicious! People are awesome! Grilled Veggie, tri-tip sandwich, or even a hot dog is the best from this place! Salmon sandwich is also a good one. I've never been disappointed with any item I've ordered. If you're hungry and not sure what to get, stop by here! Shop local! Your mouth and stomach will thank you.

Eh, the fruit going old is 2 dollars a bag and there's not much in the bags (feels stingy). There's more in the bags at the New Earth market in town, in the old fruit and vegetable clearance section. I feel the price should have a clearance feeling to the fruit they're trying to clear! and not "a sort of sale" feeling.

I purchased the chicken breast today. It turned out moist and juicy.I also got fresh peaches and nectarines. I love August, so many wonderful fruits and vegetables. I look forward to slicing into the Tuscan melon.A good variety of vegan items.I wish Oroville had a S & S organic produce! It was worth the drive. I will come again.

They have a great meat and fish department, lots of delicious choices. The organic vegetable selection is really good too. The store has a great selection of dry goods as well, breads by several different bakers, lots of choices! Some of their prices seemed a bit on the high side. They also have a good selection of supplements and herbal tinctures.

I have been coming to S&S produce since 1977. I always enjoy my visit here because I know I can get healthy products and fresh fruits and vegetables. The staff is very knowledgeable about nutritional supplements and is willing to help, all you have to do is ask.There's an old fashion style butcher shop in the same building where staff gives personal attention to customers and helping in their choice of meats, poultry, fish and Seafood. You can get the exact amount you need and they will package it up for you after weighing it. They even have a salad bar that you can buy by the pound.Also be sure and order something from the snack bar where they can prepare various sandwiches and meals for you. I had salmon it was absolutely delicious. They also have a vegetarian selection.

I always love going to this little gem of a grocery store. Their meat and seafood selections are very good and on point. The staff are always smiling and ready to offer assistance if necessary. It's a bit expensive but when it comes to good food I'll pay the extra for great quality.
