We have used multiple groomers in town and have good and really bas experiences, the crew at petco has had our business for the past year or so with at least 6 visits and every time we have been happy. Our Australian shepherd get a bath, very light and specific trimming and nails trimmed. He hates the hair dryer and can sometimes be a little challenging but the staff works with him in a very loving and gentle way. He is happy on his way in and out.

Great experience at the grooming department. Alli was such a nice person and gave my Sadie lot's of care and attention being it was her first time at a grooming salon. Definitely will be returning and having Alli beautify my fur baby. Thank you!

Grooming Walk-in Service is a JOKE. I called last night to find out when they will have room in their schedule for a simple nail trim and grind. They told me to walk-in early morning the next day and they could get me in. I arrived early the next morning to be told they can't help me and to come back at 2pm. Why offer a walk-in service if you can't take walk-ins? The lady at the grooming service front desk was rude and unapologetic with her robotic responses. Take your fur baby to a place that actually cares! I recommend going to "Marker's Barkers Grooming" for all your grooming needs. They are locally owned with excellent caring staff at a fair price! Marker's Barkers Grooming got me in and out within 10 minutes. Far superior than Petsmart. Your fur baby deserves better than what Petsmart can offer.

The quick wash dog grooming service is wonderful. It's worth the extra $10 to have a groomer bathe my dog. Much better than going across the street to that God awful Petco that for the longest time had no towels no apron and have rude staff

I took my Johnson American Bulldog in for a bath and nail trim. They had a Holiday special, and I was able to add a teeth and ear cleaning for the same price. Plus, they gave her a cute holiday bandana and a decorated cookie, and me a coupon book that included $10 off her "spa" treatment!

They were having an adoption event there, which always warms my heart. My cats didn't need anything so I was there to get wild bird seed for the finches, titmouse, jays and quail here at the house. They have that too. Very happy with my purchase and service.

This place is usually more helpful then most of the other pet stores in Chico, I also compared some prices today and they seem to be slightly cheaper then petco. I’ve noticed that when the checkout line gets a few people in it that they usually open another register.

The Grooming department is SO AWESOME!! Those ladies treated my Golden Retriever, Hank, with SO much care and love. He was overdue for an overhaul, but they were so positive and took their time with him. I decided to take him somewhere new after the other place we've been going gave me the feeling my fur baby wasn't getting the best treatment. When I picked him up, he was just SOO happy, and he looked the best he's EVER looked! To see this huge difference in my goldie boy's personality at pick up was enough on its' own; but he also looks incredible! I feel so much peace now, finding a place that cares for our guy. Every dog I saw on drop off and pick up were happy, and looked amazing! I highly recommend the PetSmart Grooming for your fur babies!

Any little thing your pet desires (or you deem necessary) is found here…pet beds, accessories, snacks, pet-size TV’s (jk)… But seriously the variety of pet food alone is worth the trip! Don’t forget they have to chew or scratch and play or sleep all day while you’re at work and this becomes your one-stop for all kinds of pet needs. Enjoy!

I just went into the Chico CA location to return a leash that I purchased 3 weeks ago. I used it about 5 and the leash started unraveling. It was poorly made so we went to exchange it. Two different cashiers/employees told me we couldn't return it because "it was used for almost 30 days" and "the other told us it has to be returned in sellable condition". My dog did not chew on the leash which was insinuated by the cashier. Plus I checked the policy and it's 60 days. All I was asking for was an exchange so I can get a leash that wouldn't fall apart so fast.Seems like they got upset because i didnt beleive their misinformation. Unfortunately now I need to find a different place for my pet needs.

The store seems pretty big. The workers were nice. I came in to return some dog boots that I thought were too big. I swapped them for a smaller size but turns out those were too small so I went back in for the bigger size. The lady was real nice about it. I came on a Saturday and it was not crowded but not dead either. Wait time was not too long. I called prior to arriving and the person on the phone was super helpful she even told me the exact aisle I could find my stuff on and was super confident about it like she knew off the top of her head I had to ask her again to be sure because I was not prepared for how confident she was. Below are the boots I bought. It comes in a 4 pack. They were about $20. I like them because they have rubber soles on the bottom. If you get the right size they stay on just fine but if its not a perfect fit they slide down. Its better to put the shoes on while your dog is standing up. I tried putting them on while they were laying down and it was a pain in the butt because they stood up and the boots were crooked and slid down, they just didnt fit right like that so put them on while they're standing.

Elyza O. is a fantastic, professional groomer who truly loves working with animals. My Shih Tzu had a couple bad experiences with other local groomers and came home shaking and afraid, she had been cut with grooming shears on more than one occasion. PetSmart really takes the time to listen to how you want your pup cut or trimmed, if there are any needs like skin conditions or allergies, and the are fairly priced for the services they perform. I would recommend them to any of my friends or family. One thing, book early, they are very popular and sometimes your groomer of choice may be booked two weeks out. Absolutely love the group at PetSmart and Elyza O. will always groom my pups.

I signed up for puppy training at PetSmart in February 2022, when our lab was 10 weeks old! Caitlyn was the instructor, and she was amazing! Very knowledgeable and friendly! I highly recommend this facility and instructor!

I was able to find the products I was there for but customer service was abysmal. The cashier did not even acknowledge my existence and refused to provide a receipt upon request.I try to shop locally, even if it is at a big box store. I like to support local jobs, but after this very rude experience, I will be more likely to shop online for my pets needs.As someone who worked retail throughout college, I was very disappointed by the customer service I received at Petsmart in Chico. I used to try to have fun with my job and enjoyed interacting with customers. Now you can't even get the cashier to make eye contact...

Well…. Supply chain issues are affecting the menu, was in a rush going out of town, wanted their steak breakfast burrito, they were out. Got a bacon, egg and cheese burrito instead, and it was not great.But will still be my go to for the Western Bacon Cheeseburger.

I have found the employees at Petsmart to be very nice and knowledgable. Shannon is an incredible groomer and always makes my dog Cash, look fantastic. Also, Catelin is a terrific dog trainer.

Had the worst experience today very unprofessional from the groomers to the manager. Tried to charge us for services not provided. And the little attempts at services provided were terrible absolutely sloppy. They tried to overcharge us for several services and the groomer was very aggressive with our puppy yanking the leas around my dog's kneck making her cry in discomfort. They claimed to have called us soon as they were done but had no missed calls my dog sat in a cage for 3 hours after I payed the express service to avoid that because I wanted to avoid getting her sad or upset because it was her first time. After we picked her up she ran up to me jumped on my arms and was avoiding the groomer at all cost clearly upset and mistreated. After we took her home she continued being down and in pain in her kneck area from being yanked by the careless groomer. I will never return to Petsmart the mistreated myself and my mom as well as my dogg, they tried to charge us for services they didn't provide, and lied about service provided after we inspected my dog they stated all knots were taking out but that was absolutely a lie my dog still had all the same knots as when we dropped her off, on top she claimed she couldn't deal with us because we spoke Spanish when I had been communicating with her in English the entire time and I was translating for my mom. The manager wouldn't even look us in the face or cared to address our concerns. I'm immensely disgusted with all the grooming staff and manager. I will never return to that facility I can't believe the lack if professionalism and care that they lacked unbelievable. I have worked in customer service in the past and this is some if the poorest exhibition of customer service I have ever seen. One star is almost too much and does no justice to how disgusting we were treated and lied to. Oh and they even had the audacity to lie and say she got shampooed and conditioner and tried charging us when y dog wasn't even washed she was dry as whe we walked in I can tell when my dog is bathed she was not and was loosing the little bit of hair they attempted to trim that or other dog's hair because the place was filthy dirty with hair all over the floor and on the stands. Extremely unprofessional and lack of care and common sense.

Nanook, my crazy 14-month old Germie-Husky mix, got another amazing grooming by Savannah! And we found a new collar, de-shed brush and dry food for him in a snap! I love that store and the staff.
