I really love this place! It was my first ever cat cafe and was quite nice. There was complimentary snacks and I even bought some jewelry from a small business they host there :> Very cozy space!Edit:I had small issues with my visit which I put in another review and the staff was VERY kind and offered me a free visit with the corrected changes. This place is worth going to! Excellent service all around!!

Absolutely amazing - I went with my mom today after coming home from a few months abroad to find out that Chico finally had its own cat cafe (which had been one of my biggest dreams for years)!Very clean, very well-managed, beautifully decorated: the cats are clearly extremely happy and well taken care of. You can tell how much love and care the owners put into it and into making sure you feel welcome and having a wonderful time there. Great display of community support in partnering with both local businesses and local shelters to give at-risk cats an extra chance: and it's always wonderful to see rescue cats be so well socialized.The cats were so adorable and sweet and each had their own unique personalities that they felt more than safe and comfortable enough to let show to visitors. I'm very happy I went and I'll absolutely be coming back as often as I can! Highly highly highly recommend :) I can't wait to bring my loved ones here when they're in town. Thank you so much for fulfilling my dream of having a cat cafe here in Chico!

This place is amazing! The owners are so sweet and accommodating! They're also full of knowledge and you can tell they absolutely adore these cats. ❤️ When we visited, we had the privilege of interacting with ALL of the cats in one way or another. My 5 year old cried when we had to leave and said, "I wish we could stay here forever!" We'll be back soon to love on some more kitties. 😻

Such an amazing place! Had my first visit today. The owners are a lovely couple that care so much about their mission with these cats. They have a couple different rooms for you to interact in with the kittens. And all the kittens are super friendly and up for adoption! I will definitely be coming back and spending a lot of time here!

This is such a special place. My friends and family take my mother there, and the Cafe brings so much joy to her heart. I would recommend this place for both an afternoon adventure and also for any adoption. The other cat shelters around town are less kind, less personable, less interactive, and more difficult to deal with. No offense to any who work at those other places, but that has been my experience so far. Definitely going to adopt a Cat Cafe cat when it's right, but until then we're most certainly going to keep on showing up to play with these fun and furry residents.

We loved it! I brought my 13 yr old ASBE boy for a mom/son date and it didn't disappoint. We were supposed to have "library voices" but we laughed a lot!! 12 cats right now and all beautiful and happy and living amazingly. This is a super fun spot to have some mental health recharge. We really needed the fun. We witnessed a potential adoption happening too. I love this spot. I can't believe we waited so long to check it out! They have frequent flyer cards too so 6th visit is free. FREE DRINKS AND SNACKS TOO!!

Absolutely adore this place! I have been a few times now. An each time has been a wonderful experience. Although I can't adopt anymore. Cats at the moment since I already have cats, I do love going and hanging out with kittys while enjoying a treat And coffee. This place is cheaper and better than therapy. My husband and I recently went for a movie night. And although we were the only customers there we had a great relaxing time! Thank you, chico cat cafe for what you do for the community and these fabulous felines.

My fiancé surprised me with a trip to The Great Catsby. I was so surprised and excited when we pulled up. The place did not disappoint. John and Jody are so friendly and have an amazing heart for these cats. My fiancé has a slight allergy to cats and the inside was so clean and well maintained she had zero issues with 14 cats in the room. We fell in love with George but he already had an application (that made us happy to know someone loved him as much as we did!) The cats were all adoption ready (no aggression whatsoever) and it was such a great experience getting to play with them and love on them. We even got yummy kitty shaped Rice Krispies! We drove 2 1/2 hours to go here and it was well worth it! Photos of George bc he is freaking adorable.

The Great Catsby was quite an experience! John and Jodi are both wonderful people and they were kind enough to answer all of my questions regarding the opening of my own cat cafe! You can tell the cats are very well cared for and their health and happiness is prioritized above all. The venue was very cozy and felt like home, we will definitely be coming back! I recently visited with my kids and we LOVED it! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and of course the kitties were all adorable and they provide lots of toys to interact with them and keep their attention. One thing that really stood out to me was the cleanliness, there were no outrageous odors or globs of cat hair anywhere, and at one point when we could smell a cat went to the bathroom an employee promptly went and cleaned it. All in all it was a great experience and I highly recommend checking it out!

Went there for the first time and this place is absolutely amazing!!! The staff is very well informed, BEYOND helpful, have an abundance of information. That person Sara Nara that posted a one star review is full of lies. The staff disinfects after every appointment and during appointments. Quick to offer complimentary beverages and snacks and a quick tour of the facility. The cats are on a whole new level and they are all sweet as can be. This place is doing something amazing and I would surely return knowing they are supporting a great cause. Easy 5 stars and thank you so much to the staff of The Great Catsby!!!

My family and I visited The Great Catsby and we were very impressed. We were greeted by the owners who were friendly and very knowledgeable about the cats. Cat toys were easily accessible to play and interact with the cats. We will definitely be back to support this local treasure and business !

So I didn't actually go. I bought a session for my mom's birthday. She went with my 10 year old niece. She really loved it. You get to hang out and drink coffee or hot chocolate. There are 10+ cats that move around and play. One came and sat in her lap. They both loved it. She got a tee shirt and says she will be going back. She has cats so adopting one was not an option but she says she would adopt one from here when one of hers passes. Birthday present home run!

Wonderful! The cats are cared for and have spaces they can go if they are feeling less social, and all of the ones I had the pleasure of meeting were friendly and sweet. They have a good selection of complimentary drinks and snacks and the staff are all approachable and nice to talk to!

Didn't go. They want to much information. I'm adopting a cat. Not from them.An example, annually, how much are you going spend on the cat at the vet?I don't know. Good grief.

They pack you into a very small room with only a few chairs and a lot of people. There were about 3 times as many people as there were chairs, in fact. That means you can either crouch on the floor or stand, both of which make it pretty hard to spend the 50 minutes you paid for with the cats.Unfortunately, the advertising also said you'd be able to spend time with up to 12 kittens, but with what seemed like twice as many people as the (9) cats present and barely enough room to breathe, it's pretty hard.There were also no beverages or snacks available at all, despite being told there would be when I paid for our reservation online. Staff mentioned something about being able to order coffee from down the street as a group in the future. That doesn't exactly line up with the description, "It offers coffee drinks, cat-theme snacks, smoothies, and other drinks. It also includes an antique and rare books emporium." None of this was available at all during the 20 minutes we could manage before we felt like we needed out of that room.Disappointing experience in every way. A falsely advertised rip-off, I'd venture to say. I hope, at least, that the money is actually helping the cats.

I had a fun time seeing the kitties and playing with them! I think it is a good way to bring out their personalities versus adopting them from the shelter. One thing I did notice, however, is a few cats were showing upper respiratory symptoms and they weren’t separating the cats. As a veterinarian assistant this rose a concern to me, especially since I have a cat of my own at home I do not want to expose any sickness to her. I really hope they are taking the necessary actions to prioritize the health of these cats so that they may get safety adopted and not spread disease. Please make sure they are up to date on their FVRCP and are also dewormed (their litter area smell more rancid than how a cats litter should be so I was also concerned of possible diarrhea and worms). The owners were extremely nice and I am sure they are aware and doing everything they can. Have fun!!!

The Great Catsby is an amazing place to be around very interesting cats with attitude and personality. The owners have their hands full at that place with those kitties...go visit and adopt a cat!
