I love Carol's Dog Grooming. Stephanie is such a pro and always makes the fur balls look awesome. She has been grooming my mom's Lhasa Also for many years and today is the second time I've had my Pekingese done. She is very good at cutting exactly how you like it and also great for people like me, who have no idea what they want. I can't recommend this place enough. It's worth waiting a few days for an appointment if she can't get you in right away. She also texts if you get the cell number off her voicemail!

This was my first experience bringing a pet to a groomer and I have to say I'm completely impressed.My pups fur turned out so smooth and clean and they even got out all the tree sap that was stuck to her belly and back. Nails trimmed and fur cleaned and all the persistent shedding from a husky/shepherd mix was delt with. Couldn't be happier.The people at Carol's dog grooming did a fantastic job and I'm super impressed with the quality of care. I will be returning soon.

We have been going to Carol's for years. She does an excellent job on our 2 fur babies! We have tried others In the past, and we stick to the best. Dogs are very soft and trimmed to perfection when we pick them up.

I took my Shepard in today. He sheds like crazy. She did a fantastic job of cleaning up his hair. Carol was so patient with him. He's a very nervous 89lb dog and she treated him.with so much care.She gave me some really good information for his next visit.I highly recommend her services.

Had one of my best experiences with getting my dog groomed here. I have a rescue and I’m always afraid of leaving her anywhere for more than a couple hours. Stephanie made sure to update me hourly on how my dog was doing. There was no cuts or scrapes and my dog was happy when I came to get her. Also they did a phenomenal job on her cut. Will most definitely be taking her back here!

Copper has been going there for 2+ years and has always come back fabulous. Very affordable price and very friendly staff. Over the years, Stephanie has saved us so much money in vet bills because she has found things on our dogs that we didn’t know were there and that needed attention. She does a wonderful job with the dogs. She’s a hard worker as is her husband and they really take pride in their work. We are moving to Oregon and really going to miss her. She is the only groomer these dogs have ever known. Stephanie even called our new vet in Oregon to be sure I made a good choice! We will miss you!!

We used to pay $50 to have our Pomeranian groomer at a different groomer in Chico, but every time he got back he would chew at himself and bleed. So this year we switched and chose carols because of the reviews. After scheduling our first appointment I was upfront with his sensitive skin and the groomer was very understanding, even took note and had me text to let her know if he was biting at himself. He has a great hair cut at less than his old groomer. This is a great groomer. We’re moving out of state and unfortunately will not be able to use this groomer any more but we scheduled a fresh cut the day before we move. I recommend 100%.

I used to go to Carol's Dog Grooming she did absolutely amazing work and my dog liked going to her. I also really like how careful she is in regards to COVID.Unfortunately, I was stupid...When his vet moved to Petco I thought it was more convenient to get him groomed there, he went two times, but they wouldn't shave him. So I took him back here, to Carol's, because she did a fantastic job, and she understands why I need him shaved.However my heart broke, he was so nervous, uncomfortable, he wouldn't go in, it was so unusual. I don't blame Carol's Grooming. I blame Petco, I think they forced him to do something at their place, and now he doesn't like being groomed. I blame myself.I give Carol's Dog Grooming 5 stars because of their ethics and integrity. She saw how nervous, and anxious he was. She said she wasn't there to cause stress, she'd rather lose the money than terrify a dog further. She let me cancel with no charge.I believe this says a lot because about how much she cares about animals. In addition she does great work, I just thought I should leave a review reflecting on her work integrity and ethics.

Stephanie, Rod and their employees do a phenomenal job with my 9 year old poodle, Apollo! He prances for days because he knows he looks so great! Very reasonable prices. The staff are pet & people friendly. I totally appreciate how I can drop him off a little bit early for his appointment and he can hang out afterwords until I am able pick him up.I recommend them for all dogs, big and small!

As my dog got older he required more specialized care for hygiene and these guys are the best in town so far in my experience. Very cheap as well. It's easier to text for an appointment and wait for a response later in the day, there's only one or two of them in the shop so their hands are too full to answer phones most of the time but the option to text is great!

This is our new puppy's first visit to a Carols, and they were so great with him. They are very patient and caring. They were and to fix our hack job of a trim and make him a lot more comfortable in this heat. They are following the Covid mandates, rules, and regulations so they can remain open for all of us.After reading some of the reviews on here and other sites I think the following needs to be said. People need to understand that they have a family to feed and have to follow the government and cdc regulations to remain open. Some of you complainers need to be patient and understanding. This is a great family that loves your animals almost as much as you do. Support your local businesses.

Stephanie is always perky and happy to see you and your pet. She always asks what I want done for my dogs hair. MY dog gets dreadlocks and has skin allergies and she always asks if he has anything new so she is aware. I always get a call an hour before he is done. Everyone there is cordial. Yes it smells, but its full of dogs, what do people expect. IT smells like dogs and shampoo. I would absolutely recommend Carols dog grooming. I know my pet is being treated well and he returns looking awesome

By far the best groomers in Chico. I take my poodle to Robert and he always does an excellent job. Also great for bigger dogs. I like that I can text to set appointments and get a text back when my dog is all done. I would recommend for all dogs.

Rod, Stephanie and the rest of the Crew at Carol’s Dog Grooming are fantastic with their clients (the dogs  ) and their caretakers (the owners  ). All are very knowledgeable and caring. I travel from Sacramento just to go to Carol’s! I had been taking my Mr. Cooper (a Miniature Schnauzer) there for years prior to my having to say a final goodbye to him after 14 years. Even through his old age, they were so kind, patient and always gave him the best haircut.Rob is Incredible! Little Miss Emme (“LME”) is a rescued White Miniature Schnauzer who must have had a terrible experience with a prior groomer. Going to the groomer, she was frightened and angry which contrasts with her normally sweet personality. Through Rob’s patience, he finally won LME over. His touches of creativity in grooming makes her even more cute (if that is even possible). I cannot rave enough about his work.The facilities are small and not fancy BUT, what they have there in the people that work there. you cannot buy. Pricing is more than fair. I would not take my Furry Friends anywhere but there.

Always great and very accommodating for my older dog. My dog has a hard time standing for grooming now that she is older and they always work with her by letting her lay down and grooming around it or taking breaks.

My dog is scared to death to return to this shop. Normally an easy-going dog, pulled herself out of her harness and ran away when we went back for her second grooming appointment.
