Just found this place but really like it. Small town friendly feel about it. Vegetable plants were nice and healthy, hey was fresh and they have a lot of organic and non organic pesticides and farm and garden equipment.

I've been going here for years for a variety of items, from dog and cat food to a large selection of bulk seeds, to wild bird seed. The prices are more than reasonable and the employees are very helpful.I enjoy just browsing around and my grandson loves to look at the live chicks when they are in stock.

These guys have it all! Great selection and wide ranging product. We get all of our chicken (feed, pine shavings) etc, and for the garden-( great selection of bulk flower/veggie seed, worm soil, fertilizer). Not only is the staff knowledgeable and helpful, and not condescending, they load your vehicle for you. I love that! Great customer service, and really the best prices in town!👍

This is a well supplied feed store. Feed for livestock and small animals. Baled Hay choices along with bags of feed. A small selection of tack . The basics along with medicine. A little bit of everything. Great store!

I’ve been coming to this place for awhile. The owner of the place with the long white hair is very unfriendly. They don’t allow dogs to come inside their building and he is very argumentative. I had purchased chick starter from them and they did not tell me it was medicated. I was told my a silkie breeder not to feed the chicks medicated feed. When I called the c bar d to ask if they had given me medicated food, they said it was (even though they didn’t write it on the bag or tell me) and they would not return it. It upsets me that he wouldn’t return and refund a small bag of feed when they didn’t tell me the food was medicated. I was really polite to the owner but he tries to argue with me saying I should feed it anyways and he wouldn’t return it. I’ve been coming here for years for horse feed but will never return unless the owner treats his customers better and does the right thing. This wasn’t the only situation where I’ve encountered negative interactions with the owner as well. Would not recommend.

Great place. They always have what I need. They also frequently have chicks that you don't see in other feed stores. I bought 2 Austalorps last year they are doing great. Good addition to my flock. Keep your purchases in Chico and not online.

Used to love this place unfortunately I bought 8 turkeys through them, had bedding, food, water and heat source were correctly set up before bringing them home, 2 passed away within a day and a 3rd not doing the greatest. I called and was told thats the risk and they can't refund me for the 2 that passed which were 9$ each and couldn't get a healthy turkey for the one not doing well, anywhere else I've gotten turkeys from with refund you within the first 48 hours. Also was given zero help or advice on how to help the turkey not doing well.

This place has the best deal on the Taste of the Wild dog food and chicken feed. It's locally owned and the staff is ALWAYS extremely helpful. They will load your purchases in your vehicle with absolutely no hesitation. After going to several other places here in town for my animal feed I was referred here and will never go anywhere else.

Love this place, always buy my chicks there and some veggie plants. I always buy the Gypsy pepper and the strawberry plants. You can also order chicks from them and they call you when they come in. Great place to do business.

Every employee has great customer service. They are always very helpful and they usually have my truck loaded before I'm done paying for my feed. If they don't have something I need they try to look it up and get it ordered for me.

Colin, the owner, fired staff for being out of work awaiting test results due to covid exposure and claimed the staff member resigned by their own volition to avoid paying out unemployment. Truly the worst type of business owner.

Called to get a price on a full pallet of energy fire logs that they list on their website. Was told I would need to know the item number to get a price. It's a full pallet of logs not a small part, and to get a item number I would need to call a distributor which they are. Didn't even try to help.
