Had a great experience here, friendly and well-informed service. Beautiful healthy fish and some really incredible display tanks. For reptiles, they have some unusual stuff that they breed in house. I picked up a pair of CBB bynoe geckos and a tank for them as well as some random supplies. They carry Pangea products. Fair prices and a good selection. Couldn't be happier with the experience I had today.

One of my favorite local shops. I go here for aquatic life. Their animal enclosures are clean, and the animals are healthy. The owners are highly knowledgeable, and are always quick to recommend the best choices for my aquatic life systems... Even at the expense of encouraging me not to buy what I have my heart set on, and instead recommending a more appropriate choice. They're clearly not focused on just making sales, they're focused on providing happy and healthy life. They've always done right by me, so I shop here with confidence.

Great staff. I have met three employees there over past few visits. All very knowledgeable and wanting to help. The prices are good and they calmly quality aquarium product. I’m not a terrarium guy cause the smell but it’s always interesting just to look at their selection when I go in.

The animals here look so happy and healthy, and there is always someone tending to their cages and enclosures. The overall store is very clean and there is a fly river turtle (not for sale) who is very large and cool to look at. Everyone was so helpful and kind, I will definitely be coming back to do business here.

I have a baby sulcata tortoise, I’ve been so worried about her because she wasn’t eating. I went to the Internet to find out Reptile Expert because we’re am from we don’t have any . I gave them a call just to see if maybe there’s any chance they can help me until I went to see the vet and I am so happy I did. I got so much honest information so much help from Rusty. I know it was hard for him not being able to help me in person, but he really did an amazing job, explaining everything through the phone and helping me with my tortoise, and understanding her a bit more than what the Internet provides. Unfortunately, since I don’t live close, I wouldn’t be able to go in but if I ever do need anything, or some kind of advice from them. About my tortoise they will be the first. I would call thank you again for all your help.! Thank you rusty !

We just went here to look at the animals and left with the most GORGEOUS bearded dragon!! We love him so much! I’m so happy we came here. The staff is SUPER knowledgeable and friendly! We stayed for hours until we found THE ONE and they were super kind about it! Couldn’t recommend this place enough for your new scaley friend 😍

I had to go here to put together a shipping container for my daughters snake that I needed to ship to her in NYC. They had the 72 hour heat packs which was just what I needed ! Hard to find!! He made it to the big 🍎 safe and sound! Thanks guys for your knowledge and help !!

When it comes to setting up a fish tank you can approach it as filling a container with water and throw in some plastic novelty toys and very hardy fish that can take abuse... or you approach it as living breathing thing that needs a correct setup in order to thrive and bring peace and beauty to your home. I'm trying to do the latter. This place can accommodate such aspirations. The owner, manager Rusty will give you the correct mindset and tools to achieve your goals.

Edited my review to a 5 stars. They seem to have started stocking more supplies which is awesome. I also had some issues with a group of fish I had bought and the owner was very understanding and helped me out. Would recommend if youre looking for high quality fish and service.Old review: Hit or miss for some items. Great pet selection with poor selection of supplies. They stock the typical Zoomed garbage. Small selection of aquarium supplies compared to other places around. I gave 4 stars because this place has a large good amount of fish and reptiles to choose from which look pretty healthy and are priced competitively.

Been coming here for years. Rusty and team are the best of the best for anything fish/reptile.They quarantine every fish properly and I've never had any issues with dying/sick fish. Never tried to upsell me on stuff I didn't need, and they are always happy to help out. 10/10

Cool local fish and reptile store. Rusty (I believe who is the owner) is extremely helpful and knowledgeable! My partner and I are working on a bio active terrarium we are prepping for a leopard gecko and Rusty was very helpful in suggestions and products. Highly recommend checking this shop out!

We've been going here for years. Ever since they were at Lassen Topanga location. Great reptiles. We've bought our leopard tortoise and a couple of crested geckos all very healthy. We buy our worms and crickets weekly. Staff are all knowledgeable and friendly. I totally recommend this gem.

Great store. Well-informed staff. Great stock at reasonable prices. Some of the bad reviews sound like people who sought medical advice from a pet store about animals they bought elsewhere, or else people who wanted to pick up gear without actually learning how to use it or care for the animal they already had. This store is great. *Especially* if you are new to keeping reptiles/amphibians, I encourage you to take the time and give them a chance. I heard them going over care with a few novice fish/reptile keepers, and they really know their stuff. They want to make sure that you do, too, for the good of the animal and your ability to enjoy it. ;)And the fly river turtle they have on display is worth the trip, alone. Go check her out.

The good COVID measurements are appreciated.The unassuming appearance makes it easy to miss from the outside, but it's pretty spacious going inside. Staff was efficient and polite, and helped me find what I needed. They sell trusted brand items at good prices too. I'll definitely be coming back - easily one of the best stores I've been to.

Best of the best.. I used to come here often to buy crickets, tarantulas, and supplies to take care of my collection. They take VERY good care of all the animals, and its one of the best places you can buy reptiles and fish. Everything is priced pretty reasonably - you can get decent aquariums pretty cheap.Rusty has a supplier who was able to build me a custom aquarium with dividers, and I was able to specify how I wanted everything down to the lids being half-glass and the other half screen. I was able to have enough room for 4 large Tarantulas, and they have plenty of room to roam around, dig, hunt, and I was able to replicate their natural habitat pretty well. It worked out so well, I bought an exact clone of this design about a year later. Rusty takes the time to help people out personally, so he (to my surprise) remembered the size of the original custom build he set me up with. You cant go wrong with what you get here. They remember their customers well, and they know me as the "spider whisperer."Crickets at this location are nice and BIG, and are my favorite. Unfortunately I moved to the Marina so I don't get to come here as much, but when I need something I take the drive out on the weekend if I am free. There are other shops local to me less than 2 miles away from where I currently am, but I have yet to find anything comparable (not even close) to Exotic Life on both the west side, and in the rest of the valley as well.

The gentleman there was so kind. They listen to what I wanted. I bought a whole setup for the lizard gecko, less than $200 the tank hiders either everything. I have a new reptile store I would recommend this trip to anyone who has any type of reptile for your needs.

This Store and staff are top notch!! Always ready to help and answer any questions. Never have I once had a bad experience while visiting. Animals are all very well kept and healthy, most importantly these are the last of people who care about their animals and who they go to. They will insure you have all the information and equipment/setup required of your pet before you are out the door.
