Awesome food! As with everything in this area, not just cedarville, everything and everywhere is completely desolate. You can literally park anywhere, probably in the middle of the highway, and it wouldn't be a problem. I called the owner or manager of this place, having never been to this area at all, after a place in altruist couldn't so much as make as a grilled cheese for me. They had a very very minimal menu, the place in Alturas, but I've never ever experienced in my 40 plus years, any American restaurant that had all the ingredients come up but refused to make a grilled cheese. Since I had already ordered from that place for sob, I needed a place where I could eat food, and we were going to Cedarville anyhow, so I called Woody's when we were in town for a pre-order and it was ready when we showed up 15 minutes laterThe food was really really good! The owner was awesome and fun to chat with. And I love the reason for the restaurant name! I started laughing when I realized 🤣

This is a small nice BBQ place. The two guys we talked to and that serviced us was so extremely nice. The food was great!!! We got the steak and pull pork. Pull pork was GREAT (what I got). A lot of food. We went into the other room and there was a bar and pool table. Yep we played pool and ate dinner. Was great! It’s my husbands and I 6 year anniversary. So was a nice evening, stayed at hot springs 5 miles away. ❤️ THANK YOU WOODY’S FOR SUCH GREAT FOOD AND KINDNESS.

Ordered to-go from Woody's and loved it! Big juicy burger with delicious BBQ sauce and fries cooked just the way I like them. They put ketchup and napkins in my to-go bag - I didn't even have to ask. The owners are friendly folks! I definitely look forward to visiting again. 🙂

Been to woody's twice now, both time it was horrible. Burger was good, fries were heavily burned. The guy who took my order (Cory I believe) was very rude and disrespectful to me and other customers. My co-worker was having a nice conversation with another random person, Cory overheard them and immediately blew his top off. He obviously didn't agree with the conversation that wasn't even about him in the slightest. It obviously made the atmosphere very awful. At least the poor asian lady all by herself trying to run the kitchen was trying her best, even with Cory yelling at her too. I gave them a second chance, won't be giving them a third. After talking with some of the locals, they all agreed that Cory is always like that. Unfortunate, especially for a place that could have so much potential.

First night we had the baby back Ribs then went back and had a pizza. Both were amazing. Definitely need to drop in if in Cedarville, you won't be disappointedBack again March 2023. Had the French dip sandwich absolutely awesome.

Great place to get a beer and watch the game. The restaurant makes a fantastic burger. This is kind of a locals bar and everyone is really nice lots of hunting stories

ate at woody's for dinner both nights of our stay in cedarville, the food and the service are excellent! friendly, accomodating staff. huge menu with lots of variety, deep fried pickles with the house ranch were bomb. we'll definitely eat here again when we visit :) tell corey he's the man.

Great place for this little town. BBQ is top notch and the battered fries were great. The pizza left a little to be desired but at least there are lots of options for meals. There was a wooden, um, woody in the bar which is pretty funny.

The food was great. It was freshly made. The prices were reasonable. The food had a really great flavor. The vegetables were cooked perfectly. They were tender but not mushy. The French fries they sevre have a slight breading with a definite taste of garlic. The serving sizes were more then fair. I strongly recommend their wanton soup. It was great. My wife had their veggie burger and my daughter had a hamburger. They were both pleased with their dinners. We will go back again.

Great and ample selection of beer in the glass. Come spend some time in a slower and quieter pace of life. Watch some TV while at the bar or play some pool. On cooler nights enjoy the warmth from the corner wood stove fireplace. Look at the pictures on the wall from past rodeos or events or put your dollar up on the ceiling.The bar-side of the establishment is small enough that if a smidge tipsy.... you can just walk the couple paces to tip-into your vehicle and drive soberly home.Bar staff is great with engaging banter. Bathroom is clean and roomy... just watch the slope in the floor.Get here to experience the slow before the Burning Man crowd overtakes the establishment

A very friendly place with some of the best food I've ever tasted. The owner takes great pride in the hamburgers, which I tried, and which was the best I've ever had! Next time I'm going back for the pork ribs and to work my way through the BBQ menu. So little time. The couple that owns the place, and the server I met too, are outstandingly hospitable to passing strangers such as myself. Seems to be part of being in the Surprise Valley. My family stopped for dinner while visiting the area. The slow cooked brisket was very good and very tender. The ribs were a dry so overall the dinner was above average. The service was very good and attentive. It has a small town warmth and we would definitely return when visiting the area again.

Went to Woodys with the bf for a late lunch. He ordered the bacon cheeseburger and says it's the best burger he's ever had, and ordered an extra to take home to eat later! Super friendly staff, and had shady outdoor seating, which worked perfectly since I had my pup with me. Definitely would recommend again and again!Edit: I forgot to mention, Woodys has some of the best sweet potato fries I've ever had!

BEST RIBS EVER!!! Come here, best food ever extremely fair prices, owner made the food himself and had a great conversation. Sooo delicious!!!! We came down from Denver Co for a stargazing getaway and drove and found this AMAZING little place!!! I ordered the pickle chips to start and the fish and chips for lunch and it was one of the best plates I have ever had and the hubby got a rack of ribs that was the best we have both ever had!!! Every single piece fell right off the bone. Super happy we stopped and found this gem♡ DONNOT MISS OUT ON THIS PLACE, everything we ordered was so perfect, even the gin and tonic, top quality!!!

Pretty decent food, very sweet owners. Simply overpriced. But pretty much all there is out there, so give them your business, just don't expect to spend less than $50 on lunch and 2 or 3 bottled beers for two people.

We would have accepted a far less delicious dinner experience than the one we enjoyed at Woody's in Cedarville. I got a fried chicken breast sandwich with ortega chili and swiss cheese. Side of fries and coleslaw. My spouse got baby back ribs. We were basically blown away by how well all these dishes and sides were prepared. I would not hesitate to recommend this joint to anyone passing through Cedarville.

Last meal in an air conditioned establishment before driving into Burning Man. Pulled pork sandwich on cibiata is bomb. Fries are super on point also. Enjoying a Great Basin "Icky" IPA to wash it down. Good small town eats.

Ryan the barkeep was friendly. Good selection of bottled beer, Papst to craft. No taps. Big screen to watch the game. Small town locals friendly. Pool table, darts, and jukebox. Had the pattymelt, tasty and good portion.

Great atmosphere. The bar area is where you want to be. The dinner is hectec and busy. The bar is laid back and fun. I laughted for about 35 mins while my food was being prepared. It was the weekend of burning man exodus so no harm in the delay. But man oh man was the owner funny and welcoming. Being two guys from Seattle in a cowboy bar/dinner we where very pleased with survice and conversation. Man i wish there was a bar like this in Seattle!
