A must visit restaurant while in Morro Bay, very warm environment with lots of care put into the decorations and scenery. Great food and friendly service. The portion sizes are great for what you pay. They allow dogs on the patio and even provide separate blankets for the people and the pets if you get cold. They also have heaters on the patio. I loved the chilli cheese dog and the artichoke. I didn’t care for the cinnamon roll as it tasted more like a brown sugar roll and it actually hurt my teeth. Also don’t go for take out. They will tell you that you must wait to get your food till everyone else in the restaurant is served. The bathroom is also noteworthyWheelchair accessibility: My grandma had a walker and she could roll right up to the outside patio and there was even room to keep it next to the table.

LOVED this place the moment we walked in. Food was so good, filling, and memorable. We ate breakfast here and both my spouse and I were pleased and we prefer to eat plenty of animal protein at our meals. It was very easy to get a robust amount in an omelette, easy to add additional eggs, and they were absolutely delicious. The fries were the best we’ve ever had, literally. Will visit again! This place is going on our favorites list.

Cayucos has some nice homes and some not so nice homes. Some new and others that would be considered teardowns. That could be the Sea Shanty, a teardown, if not for the intended rustic charm of the place. They're a little pricey, but what coastal restaurant isn't. The burgers are fresh and that's okay with me. Their seafood is decent too. They have a decent amount of outside seating for the crowds and locals that dine there.

The place was clean and cute, very welcoming. We met a group for lunch. My husband had the prime rib sandwich with skin on potatoes. The horseradish was very tasty and the sandwich so good. I had the teriyaki Stix appetizer with rice. It was so tasty. If we hadn't been so full, they have a whole dessert menu! I will be back even if it's just for dessert.

To be fair, they were really busy BUT 3 at our table ordered cinnamon rolls and one ordered pancakes. They brought the Cinnamon rolls within 5 minutes. The pancakes and fruit platter ($15 for 4 orange slices, 3 small watermelon slices and 3 cantaloupe slices) took almost 1/2 hour to arrive so the rolls were cold (yes, we waited for the pancakes). The cinnamon rolls were dry and sugary...couldn't have been any worse. I won't go back for breakfast.

Loved everything here. Chowder makes it in my top 10, maybe 3rd or 4th place. Strawberry Shortcake desert is insane, hot biscuit shortcake on bottom, cold ice cream in middle, whip cream on top and sliced strawberries everywhere else. The range of temperatures and flavors you get in one bite is heaven. Sea Shanty really hits the spot after a long day hiking and beach combing.

Recommended if you’re looking for a place to stop on your PCH drive. Wonderful small town restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Close to Highway 1 and the beach, ample parking, safe neighborhood, and wonderful service. SAFE seating! Plenty of outdoor seating with an ocean breeze crossing through the deck. They have heat lamps so you’re comfortable if you want to be safe and sit outside!Food style is American. They also specialize in steaks and seafood at night. The servers are very nice. They also have a small bar inside if you’re stopping for a drink.Highly recommended, especially if you’re passing through and want nice food, and a beautiful little village vibe.

We spent my birthday in town and had lunch at this cute spot. Everyone was very friendly, the service was prompt and the food was fresh and good.Definitely stop by if you're visiting the area or local and haven't been here yet.Dog friendly outdoor seating with heaters. They were awesome and offered our pups a bowl of water.No pics of the food, we dug in too fast. Try the fish and chips or the fish sandwich--both were great.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars.The service and the food was amazing. Lucas was such a pleasure to talk to and was very attentive to our needs. We especially appreciated the care we took with his trainees.The restaurant is cute and loved the story about the hats on the ceiling.I can’t wait to come back.

I'll start off with the cons. My party and I had to wait close to 30 minutes before our waitress took our order and despite walking passed us several times, she never came by to refill our drinks until we told her. I didn't care too much for my fish tacos. They were bland even with the salsa and sour cream. The pros is that my party loved their food. The location and atmosphere is great! I'd definitely come again to try something else off the menu.

Our very first stop on our very first visit in Cayucos. Excellent service except we had to wait for them to switch over to lunch menu. The ceviche is fresh, clam chowder is so good and the popular fish and chips delivered.Rustic and nostalgic ambiance and garden alone is worth the visit.Definitely a stop when we visit again.

Love this place! Great food and service. Even when it's busy, staff is working hard. Inside seating, patio and garden seating. They can accommodate large groups.Parking: Lots of parking around the restaurant. Kid-friendliness: Kids are always welcome. We use to bring our kids when they were young, they loved the quirky decor.

The teriyaki sticks could honestly be an entree if you're not too hungry and not sharing lol They were really good!!The fish and chips are a staple when you're near the sea , can't go wrong!But make sure you leave room for desert, we had the cayucos crunch and it was absolutely delicious 😋

Super friendly staff, dog friendly patio and good food. My favorite chowder so far: clammy and thick but not gloopy. I had the prime rib dip and it was SO good and tender. Hubs had the chili size on cornbread (on request) and it was fabulous. Parking was easy even with the tiny travel trailer, just a bit up or down the street.
