I need a quick bite before I scavenge the coast for some tasty waves when I stumble upon honey girl. I’m greeted as I walk in by a tall man in safety goggles (he must be cooking the bacon).I stand there patiently as I digest their menu. It’s basic, very basic but nonetheless sufficient. The women takes my order in rapid succession in a tone that leans more towards annoyance then it does “thank you for your business”. I answer all of her questions clearly and quickly without skipping a beat. I order a 12oz coffee and a breakfast sandwich, a recipe for success.She asks “the name of your order”. I reply clearly “Austin” because that’s my name.7 mins later I hear the tall man yelling “Spicoli” at least 3 or 4 times. I know he was talking to me but I waited… finally he says “Austin”I swoop in to grab my bagel he says “thank you have a great day”I gave them an extra star for that because I’m just trying to get tasty waves and get a cool buzz.Overall coffee is average and the bagel was weirdly mushy.3.1 stars for the food/service4.1 stars for the funny guy

Great food served by friendly people. Had us daydreaming about opening up our own Cafe just like this one day.I had a BLT that I added turkey and pepperjack to, we also got lox on an everything bagel. The sandwich was significant, served on perfectly toasted sourdough bread, delicious California tomatoes, and of course the bacon was fantastic.If you're in the area, you should give this place a try.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options like their veggie bagel sandwichDietary restrictions: Gluten free options as well

CRAY-CRAY ALERT! Cute place run by an unhinged owner. I purchased a $6 small latte and sat down at one of the three tables inside in a quiet Friday around noon (long after tourist season). I was one of four customers. I needed to send a work email to start my vacation, so I pulled out my laptop and my phone to hotspot since there is NO WiFi.Seeing me configuring my phone, the owner gruffly shouted, “Are you going to be on your phone?” I explained I just needed to send a quick email and he relied “We don’t allow people to camp here.” Camp? Five minutes and a $6 latte is camping?I gave him back his coffee and refused his return, telling him I chalked it up to the a*%+ole tax. He followed me out to my car, berating me, and then told me I could not park on the public street in front of his shop. What gasbag bully.Stay away. Go to the wonderful coffee shop next to the Italian restaurant further up and across the street (which also has chai and amazing baked goods.)

It is a nice place looks clean and the staff members work fast. The coffee was perfect. We were a group of six people and they took care of us fast. The only issue was that I order a breakfast bagel, plain bagel no cheese. Instead I got a everything breakfast bagel with cheese when I went inside to let them know that my order was wrong the person making the coffee agree with me, stating that I did order a breakfast bagel plain, but the person cooking disagre. At that point I told them that it was ok and they can donate that bagel to someone and I walked out. I sat outside watch my family eat and as they were finishing eating one of the people from the coffee shop walked out and gave me an everything breakfast bagel no cheese but not without asking everyone in our table if we were sure someone else didn't eat my bagel. Later on the person cooking came out to double check. Anyways, I ended up eating the everything breakfast bagel, which ended up sending me to the closes ER with a severe allergic reaction. Yes, I never had an everything bagel before so I didn't know I was allergic to some of the seeds it had on. I didn't like that they didn't believe me and the way the two people came out to double check that we were telling the truth. I felt humiliated by their reaction. I gave them a 4 start because I did like the mocha I ordered and the kids like the food but I hate the fact that I had to go to the ER with swollen face, ears, and hands. I spend most of my summers between Cayucos and Morro Bay and I will not go back to that coffee shop.

Went two days in a row, great vibe cute place with a nice local feel. The pastries were stale the first day but figured oh well, the second day they were stale as well and our drinks were Luke warm. Nice place but if you want a good pastry on the side better look elsewhere.

Everything was great, so glad we found this little coffee shop and eatery. Coffee orders were excellent and we really enjoyed the BLT Avo and yogurt with granola. Definitely will be returning.

Stopped in on Saturday for some lunch before heading to the beach. Best avocado BLT I have ever had, and I am very particular about these. Staff was very polite and accommodating. We sat outside and enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere. I'm pretty sure I had the mango iced tea, tasted fresh and wasn't super sweet. Will definitely return.

We visited this cafe a few times while on vacation in Cayucos and loved it! Great little spot for coffee/muffin/bagel, located across from the ocean. Their Chai Tea Latte with cinnamon was extrordinary. We will be back next time we are in town.

WowoWOW!!! We came from San Diego and had the pleasure of staying down the street from this little gem for a few days. Everything they do from sandwiches to their drinks has been impressive. This is THE PLACE to eat in cayucos! Been going for years and the food is always amazing! The lox and bagel and California BLT with avocado garlic aioli is to die for! And every time I ask for a soy subscription for smoothies or coffee is always accepted and tastes amazing. Tim is such a great owner who cares about his customers, he even offered to add banana in my soy strawberry smoothie and it was great. Tim even added my own button on the register .

My go to place for morning coffee on our visits to Cayucos.. Staff is always very friendly and they have the BEST oatmeal !! Loaded with fruit and a touch of honey, it is soooo good.

They did it again and I have a new favorite. The Chocolate Chai Tea Latte had the chocolate, spices, and a little heat—wonderful! Friendly owner and staff. Carrizozo is fortunate to have Honey Girl’s!

I love the location right across from the beach. It's kinda tiny inside and I prefer the atmosphere (inside) of the Morro Bay location but I'm still happy to be able to get my Top Dog fix right in Cayucos! Also, the outdoor seating is good at both locations, and so is the food!

Good coffee, average food. Did NOT appreciate the sexist comment one of the employees made to me in front of my wife. I know he didn't mean anything by it but you should know your customers come from all over and a lot of them would be offended.

Cute small little coffee shop. They serve coffee, tea, and a small menu of breakfast and lunch items like sandwiches and bagels. I got me a caramel latte and it was delish. Not too strong and not too sugary. If I find myself in Cayucos again, I will be coming back.
