They are always so nice and very helpful. The customer service is always on point. The cathedral city pep boys is always my go to for servicing my car. Today visit I was in a bit of a rush, and they were able to get me in and out as fast as they can, and still do the complete service.

Multiple issues. First time I went was in 2018 with an older gentleman named Dave who was awesome and provided a list of all recommended maintenance and items my newly used car would need. Sadly, I never saw him again and every experience since then felt scammy. I have been going there for years now and it's usually pretty awful.You bring your car in for an oil change and tire rotation. They don't rotate the tires. MARK YOUR TIRES B4 SERVICE SO YOU CAN SEE B4 U LEAVE IF IT WAS DONE. Despite the fact that I bought my tires from them w/extended warranty and free tire rotation, due to their failure to not rotate my tires as requested every time I got an oil change, I had to use my purchased warranty to get replacement tires when my tires were only at 75% mileage life. It wasn't worth it. My tires were cheap and the amount I had to pay to get my covered replacement tires was nearly as much as full price!They use cheap parts. Got my headlights replaced and they went out the next year. So I purchased higher quality LED bulbs since they only have the one cheap headlights that don't last. They tried to charge me 4x's as much to replace my headlights because instead of charging me the standard headlight bulb replacement they had the previous year, they wanted to charge me over $100 for labor! I asked if the bulbs I provided were any more labor to install than the cheap bulbs they had, nope! Same thing happened when I wanted to replace one of my brand new tires when a previous local mechanic has failed to fix the nail hole and made it worse ($50 & 2hrs to make my tire worse) and they tried to charge me 3x's the price. I had just bought new tires and they were $45 each, but they wanted to charge me $150. For both the headlights & tires I argued and they changed the price. But keep your wits about you, especially if you are a woman. They have a history of getting creative to overcharge you as I have experienced.The last time I went in the horrific mgr w/no customer service skills thankfully wasn't there (I hope he no longer works there). The young guy that helped me actually was very reasonable and didn't try to scam me either. Aside from my first visit w/Dave, this was my best experience here by far. Issue is that they failed to screw my engine shield back on properly after they changed the oil. It has caused me a serious loss of income and it is scraping so bad I now need to pay for towing. If the engine splash shield has been damaged I may need to replace it too. DO NOT TRUST THEM TO ACTUALLY ROTATE YOUR TIRES WHEN REQUESTED OR TO ACTUALLY SECURE THE ENGINE SHIELD BACK ON AFTER THE OIL CHANGE.Literally, I can't afford to take my car here for service. So many mistakes like this they make leads to me having add'l repairs and costs plus a substantial loss of income. It is getting to the point where I have to learn everything about my car and have even started to do my own repairs to make sure it is done right. I spent hours replacing my blower motor but I now know it was down right and if I have to do it again, it will only take me the recommended 30minutes. It only cost me $60 for the part but to have had a mechanic do it would have cost me hundreds more.

A big thanks to the service manager Mike and Navarro. My Nissan Xterra overheated while visiting Palm Springs to visit the aerial tram, and we limped over to Pep Boys just a few minutes before they were closing on a recent Saturday. The part we needed was not available, but after inspecting the problem Navarro was able to make a simple fix, and after adding more coolant we were able to get home safely. They went above and beyond to help us with our problem. Outstanding character and service by both!!

Hands down the best customer service I’ve ever encountered! The team were absolutely amazing, I collect classic muscle cars, unfortunately my ‘69 dodge charger broke down on route to Palm Springs. Everybody at Pep Boys jumped into resolve the problem with speed and efficiency - can not recommend these guys highly enough!

Made an appointment online which allows you to pick times up to closing time. I picked 5 pm wich is 1 hour before closing. I left work 1.5 hours earlier to be on time. When i got there the front desk guy claimed he called me many times to let me know they couldn't take it because 5 pm was too closed to closing time.#1: I didn't have ANY missed calls from any one at all.#2: Their company needs to fixed their system, to not allow people pick any times after 3 pm so they can have enough time to work on any other car, and not WASTE people's valuable time.#3: the only solution this guy gave me was to reschedule... i don't need his "help" to reschedule. I can reschedule it myself.VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND POOR MANAGEMENT SYSTEM PROGRAMING!!! 😡

The gentlemen who helped me at the Cathedral City service center were excellent! They offered top quality customer service in a timely manner giving updates and convenient time frame for the service on my vehicle to be completed. I would definitely recommend this location to family, friends, and associates for their auto care needs.

I have lived in the Coachella valley for 15 years, and was never able to find a reliable and honest easy to work with auto shop until I came to Pep Boys! These guys are the best, they are the real deal, can't say enough about them!(Hint: buy your parts next door at advanced auto parts store - Pep Boys quoted me $485 for an alternator which I bought at advanced for $149!)

I had my breaks done on my 2018 honda accord and told the ppl that I wanted to keep my old breaks that I had removed and was told they were in my trunk and when I checked today dec 2 and I had it done on 11/29/23 by I want my breaks back I'm so angry

Andreas, the manager in the store, is very knowledgable about most cars both foreign and domestic. When my front and rear breaks had to be replaced, first, Andreas provided me with the precise quote on the phone, which he honored when I came to the store. Second he provided excellent and prompt service and updated me as work progressed. Third, he ordered Lyft for me to take me back home and then again to pick up my car. There were no surprises. Overall, service and experience were excellent. Thank you!

I came in to get my oil changed.. because bruh that filter housing is a pain.. kept putting it on back burner anywho I know that thing was disintegrating 😂.Oh yeah back to the review. Walked in the store front was clean, The employees that were not occupied at the moment Gave a inviting greeting. The people who work here are very knowledgeable and can explain what is happening to the vehicle in a way you can understand. The Technician I had was Anthony and boy I tell you somebody give him a raise. Anthony was fast,courteous and yet still did a thorough job. So come on over to the pep boys/Firestone garage for services from Minor to Major issues they have you covered. I don't lie 🤥 if they was garbage I would say so.🤪🤪🤪

Staff is very nice . On Monday July 4 2022 Andres helped with the oil change of my car and he was very nice he gave me a quote of $390 for my breaks for my Nissan Sentra. I told him I would bring it in on Saturday July 9 2022. So I did however today the manager helped me and he was not honoring that quote. As my experience in retail managers should not only honor the quote that was previously given but give a better service to there customers. I felt he was not willing to go the extra mile as a manager. I just hope at the end I get a good price. They should honor that I not only I have warranty on the pads for lifetime and but also honor the quote that Andres gave me. Which I hope he gets promoted as a manager. His customer service was excellent.

My tire went flat in a major hwy, used you App to call the store and let them know I was coming in, Andrea said “no problem” we can get it done right away, used the app to schedule a tow2 pep and they were out within 30 minutes. I was in on the lift and tire repaired writhing 45 minutes. You guys are “Rock Stars” - great service with additional items recommended for my vehicle… 10 stars if possible in my book - keep up the great work and tradition

I arrived to this location, and these “ professional “Didnt want to make inspection, because I parked in front of empty inspection site, I had appointment at 10am lost 1h to find where to print because they dont have papers for work. Not reccomend I think they repair cars like they talking
