We first went down the road to the old post office cafe, and they had a 2 hour wait for breakfast. So we found this spot and happened to be their first breakfast customer EVER.The breakfast menu was still in the planning stage!! (See pic)The owner was super accommodating, and the breakfast dishes were delicious. We had a waffle & fruit, Greek omelet, & goat cheese omelet. Simply can't say enough good things about this place. WE WILL BE BACK!!

If I could score no stars on the service and atmosphere I would have. Regrettably, my recent experiences at CB's have been deeply disappointing, a stark contrast to the warmth and hospitality once synonymous with this establishment. The transition in ownership has evidently led to a drastic decline in customer service quality. The charm of the former local proprietors has been replaced by the new owners' rudeness, meanness, and unnecessary aggression.My attempts to communicate with the staff, presumably the new owner, have consistently been met with stress and hostility. On my latest visit, a simple online order pickup turned unnecessarily confrontational. While I was merely trying to clarify and amend my order, the response I received was unexpectedly combative, with the owner accusing me of being confrontational, a bewildering accusation when all I sought was to add to my order due to an initial mistake.His unwillingness to assist, coupled with a palpable sense of irritation, left me no choice but to leave, utterly dismayed by the lack of basic courtesy one would expect in a service-oriented business. Such behavior is not only unprofessional but also tarnishes the reputation of what could be a thriving local enterprise.It's disheartening to witness the erosion of the congenial, customer-focused atmosphere that once defined CB's. The current proprietor's approach starkly misrepresents the essence of what local business ownership should embody. Consequently, I am compelled to state that I will neither recommend nor patronize CB's again, a decision I make with a heavy heart given my past fondness for the place.

One amazing lady working the whole front of the house solo and she loved our dog and made everyone feel welcome! Loved the lasagna pizza and dough knots! My daughter got the calzone and she could maybe eat a third of eat. We aren't local, but my daughters both asked if we could come back the next time we visit North Tahoe area.

Me and my wife just ate here. Simple setting but awesome food!!! Potato skins were perfect! I had a cheeseburger and wife had the blue burger. Have to say phenomenal! We even picked up a pizza to go for the room. Cozy. Friendly. And portions were big! Price just right! They had a small bar and even live music. Can’t go wrong with this place!!

The picture is a $16 Greek salad (I added gyro meat to it). It is...tiny. you'd figure for $16 you'd get a passable salad, not here.Overpriced. The staff that didn't ignore you, were friendly enough.They also forgot dressings for both salads as well. When you are getting takeout, it's a disappointment to get home and find all the dressings and sauces missing.

SOLID 5 stars!TLDR: bottom line, this is a simple, affordable joint with recognizable offerings that are prepared exceptionally well.More deets:Happened upon this spot as I was staying at the the little motel a stone's throw away. Decor isn't anything special- typical local sports bar vibe, but the food is delicious and nicely priced. I gave the atmosphere 5-stars because it feels comfortable and unpretentious.Buffalo wings were a nasal delight, but not overly spicy on the palate.My son ordered the gyros and was really impressed by them, and he is a budding epicure.I ordered the house burger, two 4oz patties, and honestly, it was the best burger I've had in recent memory.I didn't order any beers/cocktails, so I can't speak to that, but our Arnold Palmers were deliciously non-sweetened, and refilled without asking. (Can't stand sicky-sweet ice tea)Service was friendly, prompt and efficient, and food was delivered to the table quickly.

We stopped in CB’s bistro for lunch on our way to South Lake. And wow what a surprise! Wonderful out of the way place but right off the main road. The food was delicious. Best classic burger I’ve had in a long time, cooked to order and pizza with a great crispy crust, fresh ingredients and a super good sauce. Loved the vibe there. Great music and also super clean! Zach, one of the owners, was so personable . Definitely a place I will regularly go back to!

Since we had a pup, sat outside on the picnic table. The best item was potato skin, I thought. Pizzas were mediocre - at least they were crunchy. Seems like a local spot and might come back to try other goodies if staying in Carnelian Bay. There's an awesome beach across the street and hiking trails near by

This little place is good. Domestic and Mexican beers on tap and in bottles. The house wings were tasty and crispy. I ordered a thin crust pizza with pepperoni, Italian sausage and jalapenos and it was cooked to perfection. The beers, I ordered a Lagunitas IPA and an Icky IPA from Great basin brewery out of Nevada cold and fresh tasting definitely recommend this place if you're in Tahoe.

We love this place! Such a local vibe and the pizza is always amazing. It gets crazy busy in the summer and waits can be long but you just have to know that and call ahead, pizza is always good to go as it is dine in. Super fair prices for everything also, hard to find in Tahoe these days!

We are still avoiding indoor dining with the covid surge and being immune compromised, and it's been harder to find places with outdoor seating. CBs has a few outdoor tables and they were happy to serve us in the chilly autumn evening. Service was friendly and prudent. The gluten free pizza was very good. The classic cheeseburger was well made, with good veg, and really hit the spot. The tater tots were perfectly crispy.The venue is in a strip mall next to a Laundromat which advertises a free beer from CBs when you purchase a wash and fold service. Not great views despite being so close to the lake, but still worth checking out.The bar looks like it would be a fun casual hangout.Dietary restrictions: Gluten Free pizza is a good gf option. Not a gluten free kitchen, so advise talking to the staff if you're celiac.

Fast service and friendly employees. However, I was disappointed in the quality of the pizza. The crust was supposed to be “thick” but it was definitely thin. There was very little BBQ sauce and chicken on the BBQ chicken pizza. The ingredients on the combo were fresh. Unfortunately the quality of the crust took away from the flavor. It felt like it was pre-made and not fresh. After spending $100 in pizza it was disappointing for sure. We had it last year with the prior owners, and it was much better. We won’t be back.

Overall great experience. During my trip to Tahoe I tried a burger, a salad, and the pizza at CB’s. All of the food was great and the ingredients were fresh. I was actually surprised at how great the pizza was.The staff was also really nice and gave great service that was really expedient, especially considering how busy it was. The kids working there were awesome.I see a lot of people posting about slow wait times, who don’t seem to realize how hard it is to find employees these days in any business, especially in an area like Tahoe. I loved this restaurant the 3 times I went and wish the best for this business and the people working there.

The food is good, love their pizza. There is a small bar, and they always have some type of game showing. They also have a bit of outside seating. They have a couple of arcade games for kids.Kid-friendliness: Has some arcade games.
