We love Groomswell! I have been taking our 2 doodles here for over 2years. Take my word for it this grooming salon is excellent. We have never had any issues. Becky is kind and does a fantastic job. This is the only groomer our dogs actually feel comfortable at. They look forward to going and truly get pampered. The salon is decorated so cute with top of the line products and equipment most importantly it’s really clean. Maria the owner is so nice always friendly and accommodating as well as all the staff. We will continue to come here.

We have been coming here for a couple years now with our dog Fozzy Bear. The cost is 100% worth it for the care and detail they give to their grooming services. I live in ocean beach but drive him to Carlsbad because I trust them and he comes home smelling so good! I’ve never had a dog smell as good as he does after a grooming. Attached is a grooming update from Peyton getting is fro blown out. We love Peyton!

Groomswell is the only place we take our Golden Retrievers. Alan has taken care of our Lily and foster May. He is amazing with the dogs. The girls look amazing when they are done and I think the value is definitely there when it comes to Groomswell.One note: We lost our Lily to cancer in December and she absolutely loved Alan. Before she passed we brought her to visit one last time and it was amazing the bond they had. The staff at Groomswell is great, but I can't say enough about how amazing Alan is.Thank you Groomswell for the great experiences our dogs have had and will have in the future.

Payton has been grooming our dogs since they were teeny tiny puppies and to this day is amazing. She gets our shiba who is skeptical of everything to take a bath and have her nails done. She even tolerates pet friendly hair dye on her tail! Go see Payton and her people at Groomswell. You will be happy!!!

I bring all my furry family members to Groomswell! They provide nothing but the highest quality of service and expertise. All their groomers are knowledgeable and caring. All my dogs are of different breeds Husky, Lab, Aussi and Chihuahua mix. Groomswell knows exactly how to care for their skin type and fur type. My oldest dogs are 16 & 17 and they treat them with the best of gentle care and love. My smaller babies are 5months and a year and a half. They always come home so happy and beautiful. I will always pay top cost for my furry babies so they can get the highest level of care, experience, knowledge and love. I have never been happier with any other grooming salon as I am with Groomswell. Maria, the owner, has a true commitment towards her clients - including the 4-legged ones. After our pup underwent knee surgery, Kaci took special care of our fur baby. She made sure to place a mat under her during bath time and gave her breaks to make sure she was comfortable. We’ve been coming to Groomswell since they opened their doors after several underwhelming experiences at other groomers. Your pup will feel pampered and cared for.

Well this was the first time I have taken my dog here and was a little surprised about the price. They did a great job but I think I ended up paying around $110 for a my little Yorkie. The lady did a great job but I’m still confused about the most expensive haircut I ever paid. About 3x more than my haircuts haha. Anyways nothing but the best for the dogs of La Costa.

I have been getting my dogs groomed by this team long before they opened Groomswell and now I can't imagine ever going anywhere else. The team here truly cares about the dogs and put in alot of work to address all their needs. If your dog is generally nervous around groomers, they do a great job putting them at ease. Our rescue Chewie has always been fearful of groomers but loves coming here, so we can't imagine taking him anywhere else. I highly recommend coming here for anyone on the fence.

Wow! I am SO impressed with Groomswell! My dog, Sadie, has suffered from allergies her entire 8 years of life! It’s hard to find a salon that actually knows how to make her feel less itchy. My friend told me about Groomswell so I booked an appointment. The staff was very knowledgeable and knew the exact bath to give Sadie. She has NOT been itching since her appointment! Kaylee, her groomer, was very good with her and Sadie didn’t want to leave! It was evident that this salon is in business because they love and care about your animal’s best interest! They show such affection to all of the animals. I don’t usually write reviews, but this salon is the best we’ve been to! Sadie came home smelling so good! Wow! This was truly Luna’s first positive grooming experience. She was calm and didn’t leave the salon with very itchy skin. They followed our grooming requests perfectly. She looks so cute and the best part is that it wasn’t a traumatic experience. Becky was great and everyone in the salon was so friendly. We will definitely be back!

I can't tell you how many groomers I have gone to in the past only to be disappointed once I actually laid eyes on my dog. I guess you can say I'm picky but why not, this is my furbaby. Finding Mara has been a godsend, I'm beyond happy with her work and she is lovely to deal with. She really listens to your requests and executes everything perfectly......my Maltese looks amazing every time. If you're looking for a fantastic groomer look no further as Mara is talented beyond measure!

Nice place but very pricey. Second time we brought our 2 year old 20 pound terrier doodle here. Grooming work was decent and our dog came out happy, what you would expect from an upscale place. No question that the Grooming staff is experienced and capable. They had our dog bathed and shaved in less than 1 1/2 hrs slightly ahead of schedule. I typically bathe and blow dry our pup between visits and she’s super easy to work with. We knew the price was a premium from our fist visit but wanted to support our neighborhood business. At drop off they quoted me $89 and asked if I wanted additional teeth cleaning service for $9 which I declined. At pick up I wasn’t expecting the additional charge for matting and teeth cleaning totaling $109 before tip. I asked for clarification on the charges and the owner immediately referenced the fine print in the contract stating that matting can take 30% longer. They never mentioned excessive matting when I dropped her off and they finished ahead of schedule. She eventually took the charges off the bill and charged me the $89 grooming fee, $102 including tip. I totally support businesses charging whatever they need to especially in todays crazy labor / inflation market but we probably won’t return due to this experience.

Groomswell is the greatest! Payton has been Bree's groomer since we rescued her a few years back. She knows our pup's little quirks and backstory, and adjusts services accordingly each visit. The Groomswell staff are always helpful and efficient, and Bree returns home fresh and clean, itch-free and perky like a puppy again!

I can’t say enough about this place. They are amazing. I have two pups that I take there. One of my pups is a bit older with back leg issues and they always accommodate her and are so gentle with her. Their prices are reasonable and the customer service is just off the chart. They are very friendly. When there you feel like your fur baby is in good hands. I highly recommend them and I have no plans to go anywhere else.

I just moved back after 20 years and took my Golden Doodle for grooming. She was a mess- I hadn't had time to get her groomed, been so busy with the move. I'm always anxious when I try a new place but Daisy was so happy and calm when I picked her up. She needed her hair cut so bad and Mara did a fabulous job. I was thrilled! I am a happy customer and this (and Daisy) will be my go to place.

What a gold mind of a find this was. We have a pure bred Chessie and have been unable to find a groomer since Covid. She arrived as a puppy just as the country shut down. Every single groomer was completely booked with no openings in sight, I mean EVERYONE!They opened up and we jumped in the hopes of getting our dog in once a month. We able to easily get an appointment, although they were filling up quickly.Another amazing family owned and operated business in our community. The owner and all her employees are extremely kind, knowledgeable, friendly and love what they do.You walk in and it's like watching a doggie grooming contest right before your eyes. All kinds of different and adorable dogs getting pampered to the fullest. With hair styles that would give some of the best hair dressers a run for their money.I can't say enough about this place, it's affordable, especially in comparison with some of the other budget places and the kind of service you get.You definitely will not be disappointed by your experience here. We are life long customers now and couldn't be happier.

First experience today. I called about a nail trim for my dog. I left a message as they were with a client but was called back quickly! Maria (hope I'm right on her name!) was very nice and was able to see us any time this morning. She greeted Rosco as soon as we walked in and he went right with her- normally I have to pretend I'm going too. I am VERY happy to have found this place! Right down the street and their rates are very reasonable!👍👍👍

The grooming was basically good; however $130.00 for basic grooming of a 20 pound terrier that is groomed every 4 weeks is far too much. At that price I think they don’t want or need my business. I was told they charge $60.00 per hr.
