I cannot sing Estrella Veterinary Hospital enough praise. Positive words that you typically include in a review just don't reflect how outstanding they are. You can feel that they are there because they love serving their community. They do so with extraordinary skill sets. In my clinical practice, I hope that every family who reaches out for support feels the way that I did this week with Dr. Wendi and her team. They make a huge difference in many pups and people's lives! If you have a worry or ten about finding a vet who can handle and care for your dog's unique needs, they will put you at ease with every call, question, and visit! I only occasionally write reviews and wanted to contribute to other families finding them.

Dr. Julie and all of the ladies working there are so kind and compassionate. They were able to get me in on a really short notice, and they did so good with my reactivate 90lb German Shepherd. They took such good care of him and didn't once judge me or make me feel bad about having a reactivate dog. They made sure he was as comfortable as possible during the whole exam. I won't be going anywhere else while living here.

I have a seriously nervous dog who had been mistreated by his previous vet. He's a big dog, so needless to say it's not easy to give shots, oral vaccines, or do blood tests on him if he's scared. Estrella Vet was so kind, patient and gentle. He was very scared at first and the vet and her techs were so kind and sweet and gentle with him. Whenever he got scared the ladies were so kind and just told him what a good boy he was and provided clear, calm instructions to me and my boyfriend so we were able to help keep him calm and get all of the procedures done safely. This Veterinary office is far more advanced on how to handle animals and provide the best care for them, don't take your pet anywhere else. Estrella Vet is the place to bring your animal if you love them, because they will be treated with more love and kindness here than anywhere else. Thanks Estrella Vet! Our boy is happy and healthy and way less scared to go to the vet, thanks to your team!!!

Dr. Wendy and her team are amazing. She's the kind of doctor who takes the time to sit with you (and your pet) and actually communicate and talk through things with you. She's a problem solver, and wise caregiver. Highly recommended.

I've had a very different experience here in comparison to other vets. They always just took my dog into the back without me. They would then let me know what needed to be done, but never broke down the pricing. I took my dog in for a rash on his neck, and they told me that he also had a dual ear infection. I figure that they would be giving me drops. However, when I showed up they said they already placed a $300 medication into both ears. I would have preferred the $70 drops. That apparently was not an option. We had to bring him back for another visit as the new vet we wanted to see didn't have availability. I decided to give them another chance and ask for more transparency. We were told to bring him in and have the doctor just take a look at his paw after treatment, and that we wouldn't be charged for that visit. That was a lie. They said they needed to charge us a $50 bandage fee. All I wanted was transparency.

The staff was professional and friendly. The hospital was clean and welcoming. My cat, Primrose is usually shy around strangers but liked everyone she interacted with. We got very good service. I would recommend highly.

If you have a strong, fearful(reactive) dog, this is a place worth driving to.Shout out to Dr. Julie and the staff working (sorry i didn't catch their names, i was anxious. Yikes)This team understood my dog without deeming him a problem. I try my best to be responsible as a owner, so I prepare with a muzzle during stressful events like vet visits. Something that moved me was that in the beginning they allowed us to stay out front on the bench away from the waiting room. Two vet technicians came out to give Reggie his sedation shot and they gave him so much love. Rubbed his back, positive affirmations. I knew Reggie was safe here. We have been to other vets but this is the best fear free clinic. Thank You

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this clinic. Dr Wendi Browne and her staff are truly wonderful. My dog Tucker warmed up to her right away. Dr Browne seems to truly love her job and the staff reflects that.We are so blessed to have found this clinic! Tucker will be back to get his teeth cleaned soon.

My family and I have been bringing our pets here for close to a decade. Dr. Wendy is the best!!! She is genuinely kind, compassionate, patient, and honest. I appreciate how she always takes her time to fully assess my dog. She truly has the animal’s best interest at heart (not her own pocket) and I feel comfortable recommending her to my friends and family. Thank you Dr. Wendy for taking great care of my furry son! Also, thanks to the staff who are always sweet and accepting of my dog, a shy, nervous, and sweet pitbull who can sometimes be a handful at the vet.

5 Stars Are Not Enough....I'm extremely thankful to have found a local Veterinarian that I can call my Cat's Doctor.My 3 year old male cat has not really been socialized and gets extremely nervous and makes me nervous going to the Vet.Stacy who answered my first call, after I explained about Him and what He needed, got me in that day!We arrived and the staff was extremely Courteous and Friendly. I felt like they communicated with me every step of the way...which is a huge plus with a worried parent.Dr. Julie came in to the exam room, met my cat and mutually helped make arrangements to meet another day and we just finished our second appointment.The care that Estrella Veterinary Hospital's Staff displayed to me was second to none. after taking our pets to Estrella Vet Clinic since 1976, we will never go there again. The management is extremely insensitive and cruel. I was treated with distain and contempt when I showed up without my cat who I couldn't catch. He was hiding in the house and I couldn't find him. I brought my dog and asked if I could get the flea meds for both animals and that I would bring the cat in as soon as I could catch him. Horrible attitude......no compassion............no suggestion of another solution since they didn't agree with mine. I asked to talk to Dr. Wendy but the manager told me I was no longer welcome at their clinic since I was visibly upset in the waiting room in front of their other clients. Absolutely no compassion or caring about me, a senior citizen trying hard to keep both of my pets healthy.We will miss Dr. Wendy. She has been wonderful to our pets over the years. I don't know if she is even aware that the manager treated us with such disrespect.

My partner and I took our French bulldog here and we have nothing but great things to say! The front desk staff were very nice upon our arrival. We waited only a short moment before being taken to a room where the tech, Joline, asked us questions about what brought us there, and then, after many belly rubs and treats, took our dog to the back for some vaccines and had us wait in the lobby for a few minutes before bringing him back out. Then we were called into one of the exam rooms where Dr Wendy examined our dog and she was really great! She got down on his level and was very gentle and caring with him. She explained everything to us and made us feel reassured. We will definitely come back here! The staff and doctor are excellent!

Dr. Taylor and the staff are excellent! Very caring and thorough. Most of all, my dog is very healthy, so I did not feel pressured to do unecessary procedures or treatments and they paid attention to the economics and also the dog's emotional cost/benefits. After 6 years of living in San Clem I finally found a vet!

I love taking my pups to Estrella Vet! We've been going there for years and have never had a bad experience. I don't worry about dropping one of my pups off there because I know they're in really good hands. The doctors and staff members are friendly, caring, and extremely knowledgeable. My favorite part of what Estrella Vet offers is their patience and empathy. I love being able to ask them any questions about my pups health without feeling like I'm being rushed off the phone or out of the office. I’ve been taking our pets to Estrella veterinary for several years, every Dr is caring and really takes the time to get to any problem presented. We love Dr Wendy, she makes our kitty’s feel as comfortable as a cat can under the circumstances. We were not happy with our prior vet when our 11 year old Golden stopped eating and we took her in. They gave her a blood test and sent her home with Prilosec. No X-ray no follow up.We had been aware that Estrella Veterinary hospital had a good reputation and they were right. Scarlett had spleen cancer which was found after X-ray and ultrasound and they cancelled patients so she could be operated on. They took out two cancers and Scarlet got to come home the same day she was doing so well.Dr. Julie and Dr. Wendy are wonderful as are the rest of the staff.

Dr. Wendi is our favorite, but everyone has been wonderful. I've taken my 15 yr old dog, Kodi, here many times now for regular check ups, vaccines, itchy skin and age related issues. I've had a wonderful experience each time. From the office employees to the doctors, everyone has taken the time with us to listen, explain and spend time with Kodi. They have offered ideas and solutions with different price ranges and I have never felt pressured to spend a lot of money on unnecessary treatments. Their pricing is mid-range. Best of all, they are friendly and sweet with Kodi and he enjoys being there.

We have used this Vet for our past two pets (Dog) and our current Lab and they have always treated us fair. Professional and friendly and our Lab loves them. Recently took our Lab for excessive itching and scratching Dr Ryan treated her and a day later she had noticeably improved, she is now back to being a happy dog

I have been going to Estrella since 1991 and I feel very comfortable and safe taking my animals here. Dr. Mike Ontiveres is my vet and he really cares about your animals and always works very hard to figure out what is wrong and to help them get well. He was very understanding when I had to put my cat down a few years back It was the first time I ever had to put a cat down and I wanted to be in the room to comfort my cat. Though the experience was painful, he made the experience a peaceful one. I highly recommend this hospital because they treat your pet like family.

Estrella Veterinary Hospital has been my vet for over 15 years. The Doctors are excellent, offer a wide variety of services and have met all of my needs. The Technicians are very caring and the Staff is wonderful. When they are attending to you and your pet they make you feel like you are the most important thing they are dealing with at the time. I highly recommend them for your “furry kids”.

I am so blessed and fortunate to have Dr Mike & his Estrella Veterinary Hospital for my kitty cats vet! The only negative is the car ride to... but during, the kitties absolutely feel comfortable. I always feel comfortable and calmed and very much trust Dr Mike and his staff at Estrella to provide me with the most thoughtful and professional care for my girls. They truly care about our animals and, although they are incredibly busy since they are so sought-after, they are open 7 days a week! They truly care about our pets and they never push treatments/meds that are not necessary. I so appreciate Dr. Mike O. & Estrella Veterinary Hospital staff and cannot thank them enough!

All of the veterinarians are truly the best at Estrella Veterinary Hospital. After moving, I now actually drive two hours each way to take my two babies (dogs) there! My two now-passed kitties were treated there for years too. I just cannot find a veterinary clinic/hospital locally that even comes close to Estrella, so I make the drive for each and every appointment. They are truly the very best, the most caring, the most compassionate. When one of my kitties was ill, rather than trying to charge fees to "save" my cat as many would, when it was clearly time for her to go to rest, Dr. Mike was honest and caring in advising me as he did. These are trustworthy, competent and caring vets. A rare find, I cannot say enough good things!

From the guidance I receive regarding my dog's health to the follow up calls after appointments, there's no other vet hospital that even comes close to what Dr. Mike and his staff do for my dog's well being. They treat our dog like she is family:)
