All I can say is for never ordering a coral online before these guys made me feel like I made the right purchase 100%. I had received a phone call within an hour or so of my purchase to let me know the order has been picked and can be at my house the next day. This is next day 9:30 am coral was on my front porch not only the coral I purchased but an extra they threw in of my favorite corals. They will definitely be getting my business in the future.

Shipping was super fast and they made sure they shipped on a day where I would be home to make sure I could get my corals inside my tank with the least amount of stress. Considering they shipped from cali all the way to Iowa I was especially nervous about shipping, and when I first opened my corals I was a little nervous because they had all shriveled close and were very small. However they opened super fast once I got them in my tank! To my surprise they even threw in two bonus corals for my first order. My torch is also looking really great the only small complaint I have was that my hammer coral is a bit smaller than I expected but the bonus corals make up for it.

I went to Vivid Aquariums today. Awesome shop to get Coral. All of the staff was super nice and helpful, answered every question I had. The prices are super reasonable, they even gave me some Coral Dip for free and explained how to use it, I’m a newby to Reef Aquariums. Would highly recommend, definitely worth the trip.

I've found my online coral and invert source! This is the 4th store I've ordered from (not including LFS). After almost 3 weeks, I have to say these are the healthiest, brightest, and best looking corals I've gotten. I'm very pleased. I also got a Skunk cleaner who is happy, colorful, and eats well (and wants to "clean" me whenever my hand is in the water).From now on, I'll start here when I'm in the market for coral or livestock I can't find locally.

This is the best lfs in all of so cal. If you are a reefer or just starting out in the saltwater hobby like me I would highly recommend going here. They have a wide selection of corals, inverts, and fish. This store specializes in coral. There pricing is also good and staff is very knowledgeable. If you are in the area go here!

I had been looking forward to visiting this great coral store, and I certainly wasn't disappointed. The collection of coral and variety was impressive, and then signature corals are a great way to spend your real return. Service and staff were great, I look forward to the next time I can visit.

this is my first ever saltwater tank. I was very excited when I finished cycling it and when I orderedmy first corals and fish from vivid aquariums. Fedex messed up and my order didn't get delivered the next day, it was delivered the day after. but my fish was strong and it survived a long road. And the corals look amazing after they got adjusted from a trip! Also, James from customer support was very responsive, he also gave me few directions how to make my new fish adjust to a new tank fast since the trip took so long. Everything survived! Thank you!

These guys are amazing. Whenever I walk into the store, they greet me, take the time to listen to what I'm looking for and help me understand what's best for my reef and corals. I always feel like I leave a little smarter and more capable than when I came in.Their customer service is top notch. Several times they've let me borrow something that I needed briefly instead of forcing me to buy something I really didn't need. They're also very conscious of what's best for the fish, livestock, and corals. They clearly love what they do, and go above and beyond to help others love it to.

Looked really cool from the outside but there wasn’t a big selection of fish and the coral are priced way too high when I can find them cheaper at other places. The only fish I really wanted weren’t for sale. There were three employees there just sitting around and I found 3 dead fish in the tanks.

Heard lots of Vivid Aquarium finally decided to make the long drive sitting in LA traffic. Vivid did not disappoint. Brandon was extremely helpful and an awesome person to work with.Vivid has lots of wonderful and rare corals really seem in this hobby. The price is not cheap but it is what you pay for for rare and colorful corals. Not to mention Brandon will hook you up and give you a wonderful deal.Best aquarium in the LA area. Thanks a lot Vivid!

Really good selection of coral frags! Prices are a little high, but the frags are bigger and healthier than competitors. A small complaint about aipstasia in the tanks....gives me a little pause, however if you are doing what you should before adding corals, like a coral dip and removing as much of the frag plug and rocks it is attached to, you should be good. Some fish and inverts, but not much so go elsewhere.Staff is knowledgeable and gives you the info you need to succeed and more importantly how to avoid future issues. For example many people see a pretty coral and want to buy it, not realizing that it can take over your tank.In the end, I would go back to Vivid Aquarium for corals. FYI, there is no standard storefront, it's located in like a mini industrial park. It's not a huge place, but they make good use of the space

I’ve bought from many but never was treated the way I was treated with Vivid Aquariums. Above and beyond, shop here with confidence and corals are bigger and more encrusted completely covering plugs. Just went in today for my birthday picked up a powder brown tang!!!!!! &&& A hammer coral !!! And some Chaeto for my sump !!! Honestly I couldn’t have been happier !! Supper clean place !!!!!

I don’t normally leave reviews (it’s just not my thing) however, Louis and Ben helped my girlfriend and I with any questions we had and for a beginner reef keeper that’s so important. They DO NOT make you feel dumb in any way and they are simply there to make sure your reef tank thrives and you have a good time with little to no issues along with answering any questions you may have along the way. Their selection of coral at Vivid Aquariums is extremely vast, their prices are absolutely unbeatable, and their employees are extremely knowledgeable, kind, and helpful. This is my go to aquarium shop from now on. Thanks for the great experience!

Finding Vivid Aquariums when I started keeping reef tanks was bar none the most fortunate part of becoming an aquarist. Their livestock is soooooooo good, Dave and his entire staff are knowledgeable and want to make sure you and your water pets are in the best position to succeed. Even if it means telling you you’re not equipped to keep something (nicely, of course). Vivid is in the process of putting together our second tank/stand project with them, so not only is repeat business a great indicator of customer satisfaction, this is repeat since 2006 saltwater aquarium repeat business, we don’t stick around for bad fish or corals. Not sure how, but the 800g in the shop keeps getting better and better too.As a local, I’ve never needed to ship livestock. For what it’s worth, when I forum participate and someone wants to talk about working with Vivid Aquariums, I give my 2 cents and to-date I’ve never had a poor reply about a fellow reefers’ experience.

We took a whole day of the 3 day weekend to drive to Vivid and were not disappointed. Very clean shop with lovely and unusual corals. The owner and sales people took the time to show and explain many things to us regarding the care and upkeep of our purchases. Will be mail ordering from now on with assurance of healthy corals.

I recently purchased some corals online. When they were shipped Mother Nature decided to make the trip much longer than the 24-48 hour timetable. Unfortunately all my coral died. After sending a quick pic of the result they stepped and and shipped a second shipment. I’m very grateful. The second shipment arrived on time and healthy. A few weeks later and my corals are happy and healthy in their new home.

I've been to many saltwater fish stores around the country and this is one of my favorites. The selection of corals is amazing. The range of corals is what impresses me most. You can find anything from a small rare frag to a large booming colony. I've found the staff and ownership to be friendly and accommodating. I make it a priority to visit the store when I'm in the area.

I don't live near here but I ordered online. I called because an item was out of stock and the person promptly helped me over the phone by updating the website. I was then called and informed of shipping and timeframes/expectations. The livestock was healthy and well packed. I am thoroughly impressed with the customer service provided to a irregular customer and I'll gladly recommend them to anyone looking for marine livestock. Thanks for your help! -JS

Ok giving 2 stars because the staff was cool and knowledgeable, except for the price which the staff had to go ask someone what it was.Guessing they make up prices when they see the customer. I know that’s speculation. I really do think they make up the prices with each person as they walk in. The prices were off the charts. Even the ugly common coral frags were expensive.Went in today to purchase several frags and large colonies everything we asked about was not for sale or so over priced we walked.

Thought I was getting a great deal on a bounce mushroom for pre Black Friday on wysiwyg. $65 for what looked like was a juggernaut bounce. Great deal! I thought to myself. It was labeled as a bubbly mushroom almost as if the person who put it online didn’t know what a bounce was. I though wow too good to be true and added other corals to my cart in order to get free shipping. It turns out that it was in fact too good to be true. Dave called me a full week after I placed my order and told me and said that the coral “floated away” likely story as they probably just didn’t want to sell it to me for the price it was listed. Incredible how so quickly a mushroom can just float away once it’s purchased for a good price. Then in a second call, Dave said that it probably melted... again unlikely as it was bouncing and looked healthy and happy in the picture. Anyways I cancelled my whole order as they didn’t want to make a good deal for me on another similar bounce, or do anything really. Only offered to pay for half of my shipping if I kept the other corals I had ordered. What a F***ing joke!! I will never shop here again. Easy 1 star.If you have a coral for wysiwyg and don’t price it enough, it’s not your job to cancel the order or have the coral “disappear” it’s your job to better train your employees. Don’t listen to the I’ve been running this business for 16 years BS, these guys are junk and couldn’t even pay for my shipping after they either swindled me, or had a mistake on their end. Wow!What even worse is the sellers response to this review. Inaccurate at best, I asked for only a wwc bounce in replacement of all corals I ordered, not just the one. Very similar in price to the total of all 4 corals. I probably would have paid even a little more. I purchased the mushroom originally for $68 and paid for shipping bc it was that good. Heard nothing and the Black Friday deals rolled around so I figured hey, let me add more corals to my order so that I can combine and get free shipping, i did this only to be asked to pay for half shipping when they “lost” a coral I ordered and only let me know an entire week later. Literally didn’t seem empathetic or like they wanted to work with me at all. I even received an email shaming me as if I’m ruining his business asking me to take the review down. But this is what reviews are for, and this is why you treat customers better, make up for mistakes and have good customer service. Again, 16 years of business, maybe it’s bc of the high end, over priced coral and not the customer service. Trying to reason with me about not having enough people to properly manage the livestock? Well get one or two more people to help, 5 guys putting 1000s of corals online and managing orders doesn’t really seem like enough, but sounds like the overhead is low and the profits are high, so I’m not buying it, pun intended, literally never shopping here.

I love, love, love this place, Did I say love this place? Yes "LOVE" this place. I actually use the online stores, but even so feel as closely connected to the crew, confidence in product, and support as if it was just a walk down the street. I have always found them attentive to my needs, and a willingness to help. I have actually switched over to purchasing 99% of my needed items from other stores to getting them here. Great crew, Great products, Great service, Great, Great, Great!!!!
