This is my first review and honestly I'm surprised it's for Petco, the grooming department that is. They seem to be under staffed but "Yesenia" the young lady who did my golden doodle was awesome. I felt comfortable leaving my dog in her hands. You can tell she is passionate about her craft. She was even kind enough to send me some before and after pictures. The service took about 4 hours vs the two hours at my previous spot but I left there for a reason. Yesenia did let me know in advance that it would be about that long due to the fact that it's only her and one other person working in there. No big deal, it was my day off. Not only did I leave here satisfied with the results, I look forward to coming back.👎🏼Before and After👍🏼

This was our first visit with Daisy. Scheduling the appointment online was very easy. The follow up/reminder texts were helpful and the groomer we dealt with was friendly towards me and Daisy. The bath and services were done quickly and Daisy was happy and smelled so good when we picked her up :D Thank you.

My dog looks absolutely terrible. Big chunks of hair missing, didn’t even clip his nails, matting underneath his stomach. Very unhappy and currently looking for a refund. I paid full price for a service I didn’t receive. Highway robbery. Very upsetting and disappointing. I will not be back.

Petco Canoga Park's staffs in general are very nice, courteous and very helpful, however it's not the case in the grooming Department. I booked an appointment for my dog, Rex, my seven-month old puppy. The first appointment went very well, he was very professional, and I was very pleased with the results, however the second grooming appointment (last month) was not the case. I encountered a very rude and disrespectful person. Rex was playful, but she said Rex is very aggressive and told me to go home!! I've never been treated so disrespectful with someone ever in my life!!! How come, same dog different groomer different result. I end up going to PetSmart and explain the situation. They assured me there won't be any such problem handling Rex. They understand that he is still a puppy and very playful. They explained that they are all trained to deal any type of dog's behavior; after all they are in dog grooming business, and they did just that. The groomers at Petsmart were very kind and courteous and when I arrived there, they handled Rex with NO problem AT ALL. When it's time to pick him up, they explained all the details of what they have done and how Rex behavior during the grooming. He was a bit crying when they grind his nails, but he wasn't aggressive at all unlike the petco's groomer claimed.

Super easy to drop off my pup; I knew she was in good hands with groomer Parus. I will be back for sure. Buckwheat was so happy and smelled good and her fur was so soft!

Big dogs friendly ;) it would be great if the scent could last all the time. Nice job, all took about 2 hours, but it was worth it.

Had Paris cut Rocky nails and as usual she does a great fast efficient work very happy with my experience with Paris every time.

Boooo! Been taking my two babies here for over 10 years. My senior is no longer allowed to be groomed there as she is “ too old”And stresses out the other dogs. She is a Shih Szu breed, blind in one eye and virtually deaf. Sweet, quiet and passive. A little angel. Spry and still full of energy. Able to stand and walk just fine. But she is slow. Looks like they don’t want to take the time to groom her. New corporate policy that of dog is too old and does not fully comply, they will not see them. She has been kicked out and we were told to take her elsewhere where she should be seen by a private one on one groomer only. After doing business with them for over 10 years! Buying food and other supplies as well. They also are short handed so always booking out, way too far. I’m very sad with their new “age discrimination “ corporate policy. Just made an appointment for my senior baby at petsmart with no problem. Good Riddance Petco and good luck with your age discrimination policy. Can’t wait to see what lawyers do to your corporate age discrimination policy when they get a chance.
