What? Uneven cutting, eye boogers still on her face, and on her fur. I recommend merri’s grooming palace. We took our other pup there and they did amazing.

One of the worst animal stores! They are always out of stock of so many items! Manager do better on your ordering!! They also only have 1 cart that doesn’t even work! As well as consistently out of bags 🤨 I know you have quotas to meet but for a better customer experience do better.

Petco’s website says that nail trimming is WALK IN ONLY service and the grooming salon should be open every day till 6 pm (I verified this information with Petco’s support.) I came to the store at 4 pm to get my dog's nails trimmed and to my surprise, the whole grooming area was closed already. I checked the whole store and the only worker there was a cashier with a line of 10 customers in front of her, so I decided to wait. When another employee finally showed up, I was informed that the grooming lady left a bit earlier on that day because her last appointment was canceled. Since the employee had the groomer’s schedule open, I asked if I could come back the next day around the same time and I didn’t get a clear answer to that. That was the moment I realized that the “Salon Hours” are far away from the truth and the grooming area closes whenever they want to. I called the salon the next day around 2 pm, to make sure they were open so I could bring my dog for nail trimming in 20 mins. When I arrived at the store the grooming lady told me she was fully booked for the day, and she couldn’t take me in because I didn’t have an appointment. I told her there’s no such thing as booking an appointment for nail trimming online because it’s a walk-in service and she said she would have to book the appointment online from her computer. I didn't have the energy to argue with her about how walk-in services work, and I knew she wouldn't be able to explain why the employee who was helping me the day before didn't make the appointment for me or at least tell me upfront that I'm gonna have to go to the store to ask the groomer to book the appointment online for me. The only thing I wanted to know at this point was why didn't she tell me she was fully booked when I was with her on the phone, or if she wasn't fully booked yet why didn't she tell me I needed an appointment for their walk-in service? She simply explained to me that I must have spoken with her colleague who just left. The sad thing is I didn't hear a single apology during those two days, just a bunch of excuses. I checked other reviews on Google and it seems the grooming salon got its last positive review 9 months ago so maybe it's about time to look into this issue for real instead of just thanking your customers for giving you one star reviews

All the associates here that I have met have been knowledgeable and friendly. They go above and beyond to help you with products, redeeming rewards, and fast checkout. The grooming does a great job with my poodle chow mix. I love this Petco.

I brought my dog in for grooming. Parus was the stylist. She received us with a nasty attitude and did not seem to be listening to my directions when I dropped the dog off.When I picked up the dog, Parus had shaved the dog all over, claiming the fur was matted. She also nicked one of the dog's skin tags with the clippers, causing bleeding. Not only that, she did not trim the nails.When I got home, the dog was squinting and had red eyes. We went to the vet and the diagnosis was corneal ulcers, caused by physical trauma or chemical trauma. My dog was damaged by Parus and the grooming team at this Petco location.Photos show 2 days before grooming, and after grooming.

You need to higher professional groomers, there is only one poor girl working there and I can tell she was over worked and overwhelmed. I took my dog for grooming and ended up having to go back 3 different times to get a full haircut and it was still not right. At the end I felt like they were full of excuses. Not ever going back! and definitely not recommending to any one not only was the grooming horrible, but everything is overpriced, compared to other pet supply stores.

We rescued a dove that had fallen into our pool last week during all the high winds. While my family kept it warm and safe, I rushed to Petco to get food and water/food holders. I couldn't find the special DOVE FOOD in the bird food isle and ROGER came back to the area to search but we still weren't able to find it. He took the time to go back into the storage area of the store and was finally able to find a bag, he suggested holders for water/food and took the time to listen to our rescue story. He was also kind enough to explain a return policy if needed. The GREAT NEWS is that the dove came out of shock about 4:00 AM, started it's beautiful cooing and was ready to fly away. We took it outside, winds had abated and the dove took off, but not before sitting on the edge of the cage, looking at us for a while and then flying into the night. ROGER you were amazing, so thoughtful and you really went the extra mile - thank you for caring.

Understaffed. There are literally zero employees on the floor available to help and one cashier on staff in the entire store. I came in on a Wednesday afternoon. I eventually found what I needed, which intentionally not stocked on the shelves for some reason.

irresponsible staff. I've made an appointment, they sent me many confirmations. And when I arrived another staff told us that they are running late about one hour! One hour?! Are you serious? Also, it seems to me that stuff don't smart at all cuz they gave us 2 choices: waiting or rescheduling. I see another way the staff who running late should get a high fine or if it is not the first time just fired them. Or if u know about your staff just notify people!!! It so simple!!!

Picked up my dog from the groomer (Yesenia) and her Legs/Paws were still wet. It wasn't even just a little bit. It's hard to believe the groomer didn't notice. Her ears were also damp. On the ride home my dog smelled like a stinky wet dog. It was unfortunate that I had to pick up a stinky wet dog from the groomer.

Got off worked raced over to Petco. Worst staff in the valley arrived at 8:59 and door was locked already. There was still people in store refused to let me buy dog food. Very lazy staff!!!!

Horrible Grooming service, I DON"T RECOMMENDThis store recently changed their groomer and the new team is horrible but the previous one was a nice guy named GAIL, I made an appointment 2 months ago and when took my dogs there they said you don't have an appointment, then after more than 30 minutes hold they said they just have an opening and accept my dogs but when I went to pick up the dogs, one of them was still dirty and the other had skin cut with bleeding. They also charged me an extra $25.00 for each dog and also they charged me extra for tools and supplies plus the grooming cost. I asked the lady why my dogs are still dirty she responded to me that "I did what I could do". A couple of hours later the dogs started scratching themselves and I looked closely and saw they were full of fleas, I DON"T RECOMMEND THIS STORE IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR DOGS.

I received an email for $10.00 off of $40.00 but the emails that I received did not supply a bar code for the computer. There was a very nice employee that tried to help but ended up getting the manager who was able to assist me. Everyone was very nice and helpful.

The aquatic section is AWEFUL!! the fish are always sick and dying , the plants are infested with black beard and others are completely dry. No water agitation in the goldfish aquarium,dog food area is full of unknown bugs. Buying fish from this store is not recommended at all!

If you are planning to get fish here wont recommend this place .. see the pictures . Most of the tanks have a dead fish indication it is not healthy tank other than that it is good store for other pets . Friendly staff and easy checkout ...

Partners with a cat "rescue" agency that doesn't actually seem to want to find homes for their animals. They would rather trap them in a 2x2 box at petco for months at a time. Sad. Not returning.
